Headphone help D: - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I only just got my HTC One and I'm totally loving it, but something is beginning to annoy me a tad. I use Poweramp as my music player, and when I double click the button on my Beats headphones it skips the song like it should, but the phone tries to call the last number I called! Is there a way to stop the phone from making the phone call?!
EDIT: I've did a little search around and I found an App that lets me change the inline headphone button so now I can doubleclick the button and skip the track like normal! Can this thread be closed or deleted now please? Thanks!

Mute Music with Headset Button

Today I was walking around city with "diamond mp3 player" on my ear in shuffle mode... Three people had stopped me to ask sth... Everytime I needed to plug out headphones out or take out diamond out of my pocket and pause. Is there a tweak to give such a function to headet button?
Thanks all...

Theres a topic here about the RC E100 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410722
It's an inline remote with controls for pausing music etc. You can pick it up for about £10 from one of the links in the thread. Maybe that'll help you.
Well I was lookin for a software trick to assign such a duty to that useless button... Thanks anyway... Maybe one day who suffers same thing will come up with a solution...

deactivate Headset Button

with two presses at the headset button you recall the last number
How can i deactivate this function.
If you hear music and put the butten by mistake, that is boring.
Have somebody an idea?
Please, please.
What do you mean with "headset button"?
Such a hardware button does not exist.
TDO
oh ye it does exist? on the cable "hub" of the headset, I've got this problem aswell
carrying a bag arond the shoulder putting pressure on that spot making calls to different people :/
getting tired of coming up with lame excuses for why I'm calling them from out of nowhere!
Should be able to deactive it somehow?
Very annoying indeed. Anyone's got an idea on how to disable this button?

Yes open it up and stick a piece of paper under the electric contact.
I have the same problem.
If you press the answer/hang up button on your headset twice you'll going to do a call to the last called person. I actually made a 3:rd call once by mistake during a call and have BIG problems with be sure that i end phonecalls by using a headset.
This sux. Also, the music player hangs and sometimes the phone if I got an SMS or alarm notification while music is playing. If the music player hangs, I have to re-sync the headset bluetooth devices with the phone. that sux also.
I find this an anoying feature as well. Keeping the whole set in your pocket will most likely lead to an accidental call...
Anyone a solution to this?

...programmatically.
He he what a surprise was when I was walking on a street n listenin to music n suddenly music stopped n I heard "hello hello are you there??"
Yep that sucks but I think there´s no option how to disable it..perhaps only that way what´s written above
Ok, see I'm not the only one with this problem.
The funny thing is that almost nobody uses the functionality, but everybody is annoyed with it
any sollutions yet, I really hate it
grtz
Would love to find a solution for this too
my button is definitely malfunctioning and activating without any button press. until i can deactivate this thing, leaving the headphones plugged means i'll call someone within a few seconds.

Since I lost my headset, I no longer have this problem now
if you press the headset button twice, the system will simply run redial.exe in \windows, so you can disable it by replacing any program with the same name that do nothing.
Mine annoyed me so much I pulled the front off the button and ripped the metal contact bit out. It worked, but isn't ideal.
I now have a wicked pair of Jabra BT3030's bluetooth headphone receiver and I love it. Much better!
i installed Total Commander an simply edited the Redial.exe .. after nearly throwing the phone out of the window..
PS. i know the thread is old but maybe there are still ppl looking for a solution to that problem just like i was ten seconds ago
Same here.
There are other threads about this problem.
Still looking for a solution like, let's say a registry hack that disables the headset button...
HELP

[REQ] HTC Diamond Music Functions

Hi, I've searched the forum and I haven't found anything on this, so I just wanted to know if it is possible to change the current track playing on the phone using the volume rocker, i.e;
- by holding down for next track and holding up for previous track etc.
Also, I've noticed when I remove my headset from the phone (during playback), the sound automatically diverts back to the phone speaker. Is there a way to disable this feature, i.e;
- by stopping music/video playback when the headset/handfree is removed.
Before getting the diamond I was an SE Walkman user and I miss these features alot, so any help would be much appreciated.
The Monster.
Hardware keys...
You can change the tracks by using the 'up' and 'down' keys.... and pause / start playback by pressing the 'action' key (centre d-pad). Personally I flick the album art up or down to change to the previous or next track. You can even tap the 'next' and 'previous' icons on the screen next to the album art.... I think that's enough options to satisfy pretty much everybody's taste!

Thanks for the reply but I think you misunderstood my situation.
I was asking because I'd like to be able to change tracks using a hardware key, without having to look at the phone/use the touch screen.

My understanding is that the D-Pad is hardware... at least on my device it is!
an even better solution would be one that would allow us to change the currently playing song with hardware buttons while the screen is turned off. to be more specific, for example, hold the volume down key while the phone is in the pocket for next tune
or would it be possible to record a specific command to say in the headset for these functions ? if that were possible, it would be terrific, cause pulling the phone out of the pouch each time i want to change the track isn't so nice..
Nice bluetooth headphones

I use Motorola S9 bluetooth headphones which are really small, sound great and have all the controls you need... volume up/down, previous/next track, play/pause - all without having to go anywhere near your device. Of course if you're stuck in the 90's like so many users seem to be, I'll now get an ear bashing about how there should be a 3.5mm jack socket so you can use your iPod headphones or something!

totally agree!!!
s9 are awesome. i was worried about the quality been crapppy. but the second i put them on i was blown away by the sound. sure its not going to sound like etymotics or sure headphones. but they dont cost 200-300 dollars and dont have a wire to get into knots and get in your way. + built in controls for music and calls is just awesome.
yeah u can do this using coreplayer
u can change what the keys do eg. u can make the volume key change track

Volume Stuck

Hi Guys
Something weird and very irritating is going on with my diamond.
When I have the earphones plugged in the volume can't be changed, no matter what i do.
It's stuck on what seems like 3000 decibels. It makes my ears want to bleed.
Changing the system volume doesn't help at all, neither does chaning the volume of windows media player.
This happens anytime i play music, no matter what program I use.
The funny thing is - the sound of videos and the radio can be adjusted - no problem.
I really want 2 listen 2 music on the go...
Some1 please help!
Helloo? Anyone?
Pleeze help!
Can't help much as I dont use the headset and never have
Anything in the audio booster app that is playing up? Having never used the headphones, I dont know what the audio booster does but when I click on it, it wants the headphones/headset to be plugged in - I would assume by that the program does "boost" volume and so might help you solve the issue
I did have a look at the "audio booster".
It's basically just an equalizer.
Funny thing is, I am unable to select enable/disable on mine.
I am going on a trip next week and I would really like to use my diamond to listen to music while driving....
Pleeze people. Any ideas.
Any help would be aprreciated...
Thanx

can't change songs when handsfree are plugged in

Hi there!! I recently got this LG G Flex from Sprint, I like the phone but there's one thing that really bothers me which is the fact that I can't skip tracks when I'm listening music, every phone I ever had when you press the handsfree button will pause or play the song, but this one opens the phone app and that's annoying since I don't like to pull out my phone to skip a track, I tried downloading headset control app but none of them work!! PLEASE HELP!!!
