I currently use SPB as my launcher but some other launchers have features I want....the main reason I use SPB is because of their folders. Is there a way to use SPB folders with another launcher somehow?

Try simi folders, you can customize them the way you want, and if my memory serves me right, they're of the same stule as SPB.

They aren't even close....I've tried every folder option out there...the spb folders, for me, are the absolute best....I guess there is no way to extract them to install then separately...

I really can't believe the lack of good folder options...
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA Premium App
I guess you're right, and while I somewhat agree with you, why aren't the stock folders sufficient? Just curious.

Try "folder organizer". Much better than simi or the spb folders.

I tried folder organizer....I don't know that its better or worse...it just doesn't do what I want how I want it. My question still stands, is there any way to extract spb folders to use with a different rom?

What do SPB folders do that makes them so special?

Eye candy probably.
No...not eye candy. Its hard to describe really but you can make the folder bigger than a 1x1 if you want and make certain icons in the folder clickable without opening the folder. There are 3 different size options. I use a lot of folders and these options really are handy.

Those options are built into the SPB framework and they are more then just normal folders, they act like some kind of widget. This is a SPB explusive feature and you won't find anything like it.
Circle Launcher is pretty...and nice.
Hey all,
I dont know if anybody is interested, but here is a working version of the Touchwiz4 Launcher that I can confirm works on the ns4g. I am using right now on MIUI. This is pulled from a rpm that I used to use on my epic. It is fully functional, no problems that I can find.
I did not develop this, I simply pulled it from a rom on my epic.
Credit goes to marcusant and whoever the original porter was.

Can you pull the email apk and get that to work on the Nexus as well? I want the Samsung email app with the separation of days in the email. I like that look better than the plain email that comes with stock google.

Download the system dump and try it for yourself.
Another good alternative email application is K9 Mail.

K9 is cool, only issue is the Active Sync with Exchange. I need push email for Exchange and it only checks on a time basis.
Pretty cool.
Will use this for a loong time

Root Explorer to system/app and doesn't show after a reboot. tried to install apk as normal and says app not installed. Any ideas why pushed to the app folder and instal won't work? Any other ideas to get it installed?
I backed up the original as email.apk.bak so it is there to redo, but didn't remove any other email items from other folders.
Hey thanks for the port,
Quick question I'm already rooted, the apk installed without a problem, but I only get two apps at the home screen. Sms and app drawer. Can't put phone or any other shurtcut plus i also don't have touchwiz widgets.
I'm rooted and in stock rom, do i have to be in a deodexed rom?
Thanks

To put other apps in the dock. You have to enter the application drawer and from there drag whatever apps you want on the dock

I put the app in sdcard/downloads, go to that location with file manager or root explorer, tap the app and install, works fine.

Hey, is there a way to add folders to the app list?
Realize that would be really helpful with my app list growing.
Thanks
Not possible?

Thanks, nice app.
Not really what I'm looking for, can't organize app list/menu with it. Just lets me make folders that I can post to the home screen...

The one next to Google on the home screen? Im trying to achieve that. Its also hard from the system dump to do the google now launcher too without FC cause launcher 3 on n4 is preventing it and there is no clear defaults in that app
This is a Nexus 6 forum. I believe this may be the wrong place to put your question. That stated, could you post a screen shot of that which you seek? I'm sure someone could assist if you provided a bit more detail.

This is a real brain teaser. Any chance you can be a little more clear on what you want.

The folder named create next to the google now launcher circle icon. And sound search apk.
Nope, still no idea what the OP wants!
If you want to create a folder, just put one icon on top of the other and it creates one automatically - it's a standard Android thing
Still very confused. I don't see a sound search icon or a create button. I see a google folder a download manager icon play music and store. Is it somewhere else.

you realize you can litterally make the folder? you dont need an apk to make a folder....you just drop several apps from the app drower on top of each other on the homescreen and POOF! a folder has been created. as for the name, open up said folder, tap on the name, change it to "create" as you want to do, and you are done....such a weird request..
Use the pa stock gapps. It will create the folders you are looking for
This thread is ridiculous
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
it's simple... it's a standard folder called "Create" that includes all of the Google Drive apps (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Keep)
I really would like 10 pages of this thread. It's that cryptic and entirely entertaining.

HTC SENSE 7 LAUNCHER FOR S6/S6 EDGE
Ok guys, so far this is just a base for a project, currently my device doesn't have root, therefore I'm doing what i can without. Therefore here is the sense 7 launcher working that can be installed on your Galaxy S6/Edge. Install both APK'S
Once/IF we get root i can definitely get things working better. However, in the meantime, when placing widgets you can jut tap them, and move them later.

Have you been able to get widgets added? That seems broken for me, but blinkfeed is infinitely superior to briefing so I may still keep it. Also theming and social integration are broken too, though I suspect those depend on other apps and frameworks specific to htc devices.
try this
i install and work fine

Installed the plugins and it seems to have allowed social integration on blinkfeed and some theme support, but i still cant get widgets to apply on the sense home launcher. I go to the adding screen but when i drag the widget i want to the screen, nothing happens.

Hi. You can do a version for Samsung SM-A500F plssssss
