Recently I've switched over to the S4 from the Note 2 (gave it to my gf). While I was reviewing cases for the S4 I came across Spigen's Flip Mate case. My gf likes using the OEM Flip Cover, but she drops her phone ALOT. She originally had an S3 and that thing took quite a beating (cracked screens, cracked flip covers, etc). Does anyone know if anyone is selling something similar for the Note 2?
This is what you want...

I don't think that's what he means.
an option is to use a protective cover+.
normally it's not very comfortable when you combine it with an original flip cover, but you can cut a small strip off the left side of the TPU part to give the flip cover a bit more room to flip open.
She could get a case like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/o/ASIN/B00ATUYE9O?tag=adapas-21 which I was planning on purchasing before I got my extended battery, or she could do what I did previously and get a TPU case (or a case with TPU on the sides like the Samsung Protective Cover+) and cut away the bit that prevents the flip case from moving freely:

the case will still close fine:
and you can still fold the cover all the way back:

I got the dock in today after I ordered it from the Samsung site with the 50% coupon.
I had the iBolt dock for my S3 and was wondering how this would compare.
First off the build quality is excellent. The Rubber back and holster pieces are an excellent sticky rubber.

Even the suction cup is very soft and sticky. I was able to lock it on to my wood desk so tight it wouldn't pull off.
My only concern is that it wouldn't fit my Note 2 with a case. Not a problem. The Tpu hybrid case I made fits without a problem which makes me think everything with the possible exception of the Otterbox case will be the same
My case:
Big surprise to me at least that it came with the car charger. I don't ever remember it stating that on the website. That alone is worth about $15 online. I paid a total of $25 for the kit, but you can also get it on Amazon for about $33.00
Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. I always like to purchase OeM products for that reason. Hope this helped a few of you.
Thanks for the solid review

Have you had the opportunity to use it yet? I want to know if it goes into Drive Mode when you put it into the cradle and plug it in.
Thanks,

Yes I used it already. I don't recall it going into car mode
The problem with the current line of Note 2 cases as of today is that they are either very thin or very thick. I was after a case that gave total protection... while retaining compatibility with the current wireless charging mods, but after an exhaustive search, I found nothing !
I have the Rock flip case which is nice but does not protect the top and bottom of the Note 2 and does not work with wireless charging, also have the "real thing" Samsung TPU case but does not have a flip cover and is very slippery, even though it is not wet! Also have some of those very cheap and thin cases, and finally took delivery of a plastic bumper case.
The product I have is a combination of the thin case and the plastic bumper case. I just cut the sides of the thin case, slotted the remaining part onto the bumper case and ......

I had to sand the back of the thin plastic though as it was slippery..... brushed effetc as Samsung calls it:
Only drawback of this case is it does not protect the top right corner of the note, and of course no flipper !!!
The lip of the bumper case feels like silicon/rubber but it does not easily slip off. I am quite satisfied with this case and I think I will keep using it until I find what I want in the near future...
I've been wanting a nexus 4 like bumper case for our phone. However they all have that antennae cutout. I like what you did with the back of it

Anyone find a good not leather holster? Not the pouch kind sold at VZW.
Ebay has some, I bought one for 11 bucks, I don't have the link handy but if you check Ebay for LG G2 case with holster there are a few choices.
I checked it on Amazon and ebay they have some but..mostly are leather material..so waiting when the stock will get update...

I have the shell/holster combo with kickstand from VZW. I'm really liking the kickstand but not necessarily for setting it on anything. When extended it is comfortable for me to slip my ring finger through the stand and hold the phone which takes the stress off of my hand making sure I'm holding it securely.
As for the holster, it protects the phone very well. I find it almost too hard to pull it out of it though. I have to push it from the bottom instead of pulling it from the top because there is a lip at the top of the holster. And, you can't grab the sides of the phone to pull out because the holster encased it just enough to not be able to grip it.

I'm tempted to hack away at the top to make removal easier. The case itself is really nice, light, thin and textured. No ugly finger prints!

Recently, I recieved a BUMPER CASE from ebay. I would like to share some experince to you!
The availability of aluminum bumpers for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is relatively slim, so this is one of few options. . My case arrive without printed instructions, however it is fairly intuitive to open and close, requiring a decent amount of force to unlatch the closure mechanism in the lower left hand corner.
Quality is better than expected for the price point. For those who may be bothered by such details, the finishing isn't entirely even; some portions of the bumper have more apparent machine tool marks (end milling) than others, and there is very slight (possibly .2mm) of misalignment at the aforementioned closure. Finally, and the reason I gave this bumper 4 stars instead of 5, is the fact that when laid on it's back, the phone will rest partially on the bumper, and partially on the camera surround. The case is not quite deep enough to completely protect the camera from a fall onto a flat surface, however such a perfect impact is highly improbable, and is a minor issue in my opinion.
I highly recommend this case for anyone who is looking to avoid reintroducing the plastic that Samsung removed from their Galaxy phone design language.
Here is the item#: 121649023539
That looks nice, could you post some pics with the case on?:laugh:
Ok, will do
Oh, Yes, I already bought from that store. It really fit my phone perfectly and offering a good protective. The most important that it does not cover
the signal. That's the one I have.

Anyone found one? The only one I found was for like £6 on ebay. I checked aliexpress but didn't find any
Try this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Clear-Screen-Protector-For-Motorola-Moto-Z-Play-Tempered-Glass-Guard-Films-Front-Cover-LCD-Film/32737930094.html?spm=2114.30010308.3.197.pXt8qi&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_3_10056_10065_10055_10068_10054_10069_10059_10073_10017_10070_10060_10061_10052_10062_10053_10050_10051,searchweb201603_7&btsid=05d6f76a-01cd-4873-b1b8-6cbc81299f94. It's the only one i found that i like how the cut-outs look. If you'll get it, i will appreciate a feedback on how it fits. I don't have a moto z play yet, just planning ahead
I may give this one a shot... https://www.aliexpress.com/item/IMA...-Screen-Protector-Full-Cover/32757130766.html
I purchased this 2 pack (intended for Z Force)...http://www.ebay.com/itm/172316562388
Doesn't lay flat near the front flash....not sure if there is a protrusion there or not...may try the second one in the pack to see if it's just an issue with the one protector. Also the protector extends very close to the edge of the display so it doesn't lay completely flat there either. For the price, I can't really complain too much but I wouldn't buy it again.
I got this pack
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0...+protector&dpPl=1&dpID=416M8zrtKsL&ref=plSrch
And like others have said about their tempered glass protectors, the fit is terrible
The edges don't stick properly, it's too small for the screen, the front camera flash is ever so slightly raised so it doesn't seal, and the cutout at the top is massive, leaving alot of screen unprotected
