[REF] CM 10.1 (unofficial) Build List and Explanation - RAZR HD Android Development

As a courtesy to users, and to stop the amount of posts on the topic, I have put together the below list of links to unofficial builds of CM 10.1. There are builds available for both the 925 and 926. If the link urls change please let me know.
DH: http://androidhosting.org/Devs/Dhacker29/
Epinter: http://www.linuxmobile.org/razrhd/cm10-1
Skrilax: http://skrilax.droid-developers.org/cm10.1nightly/razrqcom/index.php?device=xt926
A huge thank you to the guys above, the other devs involved in making this device so awesome, Hash for being amazing (http://blog.hash-of-codes.com), and Dan (http://vulnfactory.org) for root and bootloader unlock.
Link to support post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36413575
A reminder to everyone, change logs don't exist (nor should be expected) for these releases. If you'd like to find out what new commits are in a build or you'd just like to follow along with the dev process, feel free to check out the razrqcom-dev-team (http://github.com/razrqcom-dev-team) on github.
You may follow DH (@dhacker29), Hash ( @Hashcode0f), and Dan (@djrbliss) on Twitter.
Please donate when you can!

In order to avoid questions regarding the differences between the builds, below is my interpretation. If I am wrong or you have something to add, please chime in.
DH build: He has been the primary dev on the xt926 side as well as behind most of the kernel compatibility work (such as the camcorder fixes). His builds typically contain the most up-to-date fixes/code changes.
Epinter: He has been the primary dev on the xt925 side (really from the beginning). I don't think his builds have anything different than DH's, but I may be wrong.
Skrilax: An awesome dev and code contributor. From what I understand his builds are a day behind of the code from DH's builds, but contain some additional fixes (such as the car dock fix/hack). An added bonus with these builds are they the cm ota functionality is operational so that you can easily update to the latest nightlies.
Regarding official CM status: DH submitted to obtain official blessing. The application is currently under review. I'm sure a new thread will be created when (not if) the application has been accepted.

Thanks for this, good for reference.

Thanks a lot for this reference
Hey, man, you have made us a huge favor :good::highfive:
Thanks a lot :good::good::good:

Bumping this because it was extremely helpful. Perhaps it can be added to the stickied [REF] thread?

Thanks -
Very helpful. I wondered why DH stopped updating nightlies last week. Thanks again.

He's probably too busy to build, he thinks the other builds are covering him, or he doesn't feel like it lol

925 is for all intents and purposes a 926 once bootloader is unlocked, right? So the 925 difference would be safestrap compatibility?

If you are currently using say Skrilax nightly and want to try DH, do you have to do a data/factory reset, or can you just install the ROM? Trying to find the easiest way and keep my data.
Thanks

I was told by dhacker no you don't have to when I asked

[Kang] *Unofficial* CM9 and CM7 Kangs/ROMs

Hello:
This thread is being started to post *unofficial* kangs (roms) based on Atrix-dev-team's work with CM9 and CM7. ghost_og, crnkoj and I decided to collaborate and have one thread where we post our kangs. What's a Kang? The unofficial definition follows
KANG: unofficial build: as in - you are (mostly) on your own. Please do not contact the CM9 or CM7 teams, or the atrix dev team with issues found in these ROMs. Instead, post questions/issues in this thread.
I will be posting CM9 builds regularly [meaning weekly or a little more frequently]. I will usually test builds for 1-2 hrs before posting. crnkoj will be posting CM7 builds.
If you want to build your own kangs, instructions can be found here:
CM9 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1450054
CM7 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1442842
Thanks to the Atrix-Dev team and Turl1 for all their hard work porting CM7/9 to the Atrix.
The next post will contain CM9 specific information.
CM7 can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21834066&postcount=23
CM7 Kang 2 reserved: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21834090&postcount=24
CM9: Why does 2D/camera not work - now that NVidia released the ventana reference libs? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21835368&postcount=27
CM9 ROM and build note:
Hello:
This post will contain location to the latest unofficial CM9 kang built from the atrix-dev-team repositories. As you may know, CM9 is based on Android 4 better known as ICS or ice cream sandwich.
*** I have tested this build for ~10 hrs before posting. For regular use, I switched to CM9 from CM7 and find CM9 pretty stable for everyday use, with some exceptions:
*** Update 02/02/2012 [one date that reads the same all over the world ] I built an OC/UV enabled kernel for CM9. If interested, get it from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22121125&postcount=152
Known issues:
=========
- Camera doesnt work (yet): WHY not? Nvidia released the tegra libs for ICS - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21835368&postcount=27 [patience, work in progress ]
- 2D acceleration doesnt work (meaning, occasional glitches in angry bird, and jerky scrolling sometimes)
- Adobe flash - **** If you use dolphin, you might see sites like youtube/vimeo work. That does *not* mean Flash is working: dolphin uses HTML5 versions of those sites. A good test to see if flash works is to use Kongregate and try to play a Flash game.
- Video playback
*** Update: Posted a new Kang today: 02/02/2012 - version 020212. This contains the latest CM9 code from the repo, working FP and screen unlock bug fixes. Release notes here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22101540&postcount=146
You can find the Kang here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/hlvw6g
user yann_h has set up a mirror here - it will take a while for the build to be updated, please check version # before downloading: http://yann.huruguen.fr/atrix_kang_cm9.php (Thanks!)
ICS Gapps here:
https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0Bx...ZTFhMS00YjVlLThjZTAtYzRiMGFkZjQ3MDRl&hl=en_US
WARNING: If this is your first time flashing CM9 - *remember to wipe/format system, data, and cache* before flashing
WARNING: This is a KANG - while there is no official support available, if you post questions on this thread, I'll try to help as much as possible.
They're is already a dedicated cm9 Kang thread, only it's by the devs who are actually doing the port.

That thread is maintained by the photon-dev team: they develop primarily for the Motorola Photon, and have been kind enough to post a build for Atrix as well. This thread is for unofficial builds from the Atrix-dev team repositories: the folks who are porting ICS for Atrix.
Also - if its by the devs, it cant be a kang
Good, I was also thinking about asking a dedicated thread for Atrix Dev Team's CM9.
Currently using the 24-1-2012 CM9 rom and one thing bugging me here, FP navigation!!!. how can i turn it off???

Right now, the setting app havent been enhanced with FP nav code. FP Nav doesnt bother me much: but will try porting the settings app shortly. If I cant get that to work, will make a build w/o FP.
Haven't used ATRIX cm9 since XMAS (on photon cm9 port right now), can anyone compare the 2? If not, I will spend sometime 2morrow after work and test it out and give out a compairson

AFAIK, only 2 main difference. Photon team's CM9 has FP navigation already disabled (which would reduce battery consumption to certain level), and Atrix Team's CM9 has got some of the CM settings already working (U need to flash a CMSetting pack). Now we can adjust screen rotation settings and custom backlight levels (which also helps you to reduce battery consumption a lot). Moreover, I like the black People theme on Atrix team's CM9 compared to white theme of Photon Team's CM9.
USB Tethering is not working yet on this rom but Wifi tethering is already working. (I haven't had a chance to try it on Photon Team's rom)
Where would one obtain the CMSetting pack?
Lol black people theme?

3D is good. I've tried many 3D games including the latest "Real Racing 2" from EA Games and it work flawlessly. UI is also smooth but full hardware acceleration is not working yet. (I think it will only work after we get the ICS resources for Tegra2 device from Nvidia)

[Q&A] Q&A Thread for Evervolv Jellybean builds

To keep the development thread clean, this thread is meant to post any questions with regards to Evervolv's Jellybean builds for your Nexus One, such as "Has issue X been solved in build Y?", or "I have a problem X. Is anybody else experience the same?". The kind users on XDA will try to answer all your questions, or point you to the relevant location to solve/address your issue.
For general discussions about the Rom, please use this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1795954
Please don't forget to include as much details as possible to any questions (build number + release date, steps to reproduce the issue etc.).
Before you post a question, you should
1.) Search this thread
2.) Search the development thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762790
if you can find an answer for your question.
Before you post any questions with regards to a problem you're facing, you should

2.) Search the development thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762790
3.) Search the Evervolv Code review site: http://review.evervolv.com/#/q/branch:jellybean,n,z
to check if there's already a solution that is not mentioned in OP, or if the issue was filed and/or a fix is pipelined by the developers already.
Thanks for helping to keep everything clean!
I hate to start off this thread with such a base question...but I just got a Nexus One and flashed this ROM. Wondering if anyone has a kernel suggestion to maximize smoothness...

First off, thanks for posting to the correct thread! Now, to answer your question: Since this Rom is in a real early stage development phase, there're a few "hacks" implemented to get things running. Personally I didn't tried to flash another kernel, nor am I a kernel dev. However, to ensure functionality it might be the best choice to stay with the released kernels for the moment. I know that's not the answer you wanted, but just my 2 cents.
Edit: Especially because you were asking for "smoothness".. The Evervolv team is working to the graphic related stuff "with priority". Many libs are broken or partitially incompatible. So I think another kernel won't change anything with regards to "smoothness". But we can expect updates on that soon.

Ah, thanks for the info. I got the N1 to play with and with a Galaxy Nexus as my primary device I can really feel the difference...which was of course expected I obviously haven't followed Evervolv's development in the past, just out of curiosity, how frequent are releases in general? I'm running AOKP on my GNex and they release approx every other week, so I'm hoping for something similar here.

Probably the best answer to get, is by looking at the release history of the Evervolv TexasIce Cream Sandwich thread (post 2 & 3): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19785288#post19785288
But don't expect weekly updates. Updates come, as Texasice think that it's worth to bump to a new build.
I didn't followed any AOKP projects.. But I know that some devs publish new builds for "every" commit they push to their repos to keep users up to date with the latest stuff. However, Evervolv is a small team of 3 devs and Texasice, who works on N1 stuff, additionally works on other devices and other stuff as well. From what I can see, he's pushing new releases when "something big" was fixed, or was improved, but not for every tiny change.
However, they build nightlies, too. So if you want, you could update every morning. But a better idea would be to follow the progress via their code review site and if you see any commit which you think you would like to have that, go ahead and grab the next nightly.
All Jellybean commits: http://review.evervolv.com/#/q/branch:jellybean,n,z
Jellybean commits that have been merged: http://review.evervolv.com/#/q/status:merged+branch:jellybean,n,z
Finally, you can find the source at GitHub and build yourself as often as you want. https://github.com/Evervolv
Lots of questions coming from me today I'm afraid... I am curious what everyone is doing to solve the Insufficient Space error. I posted a general question in the Q&A forum but I don't know if there's any particularities resulting from being on JB rather than GB (CM7).

There are no peculiarities to JB that I know of. All I had to do was enter a2sd install in Terminal (after getting SU there first). I assume you already had an sd-ext partition on your SD.
Hey guys....loving the Jelly Bean experience so far!!
Real silly question here...but what do 0p1, 0p2, 0p3 mean on the nightlies. Is it just releases?
Also is there somewhere we can see what changes are made to each nightly release?
Thanks!

p stands for pre-alpha (see it as pre-release) and the build number The JB build is just beginning TexasIce will come up hopefully soon with an alpha build once all the merging is completed
I'm coming from ICS as my daily driver, but hesitant on JB just yet.
Is the included Apps2SD working with xdata like the ICS version? I know that was an experimental feature, but it always works better for me than the normal install did.
Thanks,

I'm having serious stability issues and I just want to confirm what causing them...namely is it the ROM or perhaps a hardware issue. I've had the ROM set up and running three times now and each time (once over night, twice just having it sit around for an hour or so) it just freezes up and when I battery pull to reboot, almost all of my apps and settings have been erased. I've used the built in a2sd to move apps and dalvik to sd-ext, dunno if that could be part of the problem... Anyone else have similar issues? I'm thinking if it's not the ROM, it could be corrupt storage or something.
Is butter working in these builds?
This is more in response to your rant on the development thread than in relation to the ROM directly, but I was thinking it would possibly reduce the amount of posts about stuff not appropriate for the development thread if you could put a warning to come up when someone is writing a post for the thread asking if what they're writing is going to contribute to the development of the ROM and with links to this and the discussion thread suggesting them as more appropriate places to post. Dunno if that's possible, or if someone like you with lots of posts could suggest it as a solution to this problem that plagues so many threads?
Sent from my Nexus One using xda app-developers app
Another question which is more directly related to the ROM.
Is it possible for an option to be added to remap the soft keys? Such as remapping the search key to be a multitasking key as is in actual ICS phones?
I know I personally hardly ever use the search key but often use the multitasking features which would make it awesome to have that functionality!
Just a thought, thanks if you implement it!

Just wondering when TI will release next build. Am having trouble with notifications. I have pushed all the libs but still the video playing is broken. I really don't know what bexton has fixed but p1 with all fixes was just awesome. I know TI will incorporate all those stuffs so just waitimg eagerly for a p3.

ROMBot's still isn't working for me (at least nothing is showing up for targa). Cool to see kexec working though.
So I played with the threshold rom a bit tonight and its alright. I'm gonna keep an eye on the updates though cause I swapped back to .232 ICS. JB is in its infancy for the bionic but give it time and it will mature.

The contents of that directory change frequently, and the targa files seem to have been removed. They are working on getting a non-kexec build of cm10 working and will then get back to the kexec builds once the codebase is stable.

Here are the flashable ZIPs if you guys want to try out Dhacker's CM10. I flashed them on the safe side of safestrap 2.0 and they worked fine, albeit without camera or data. I happened to still have them on my SDCard so here you go! This is the 07/28 nightly of CM10 with the JB Gapps zip you'll need to flash as well.

Thanks for posting the link. It has been removed from the developers site. From what I've read they want to button up there CM9 project so its finished and then they can put there full attention towards CM10. The latest Targa version was from 9-1-2012. They removed it about 6 days ago. I have it but haven't installed it yet. I don't have a way of uploading it if it works. I think data is better but still buggy in this update and so they took it down till they can get a better version out.
You can upload it with the dropbox app and link to your dropbox account for people to download. With android, there's always a way.

True... If I get a chance to mess with it I will post it. Time is a bit complicated on my end right now.
umm this is like all the others .. this is not JB its a rom bases off of ICS ....hate these kinds of posts
I haven't read or seen anything that shows this being built off ICS. Google speak works. It runs way smoother then ICS even as an alpha build. Because its KEXEC it can (and does) load a JB Kernal. People please correct my if I'm wrong. this is a quote from one of the developers, Hashcoe:

I'll post more details as it gets closer. Right now that build has some data issues that we're working through, and the camera is non-functional.
Either way this needs some polishing and we need to wait for an update anyway. I am going to keep an eagle eye on this CM10 project and keep everyone up to date as things progress. Thanks to the Devs Hashcode and dhacker29!!

What does it say when you go to System Settings > About Phone > Android Version?
If it's 4.0.x, then ICS; 4.1.x, JB.
It says 4.1.1
Things are getting stable!
CHANGES LOG:
[09/24] - Fixed more data bugs. It's MUCH improved.
[09/21] - Updates STOCK-base build. Added HWComposer, Camera function, fixed native cm10 wifi tether and CM10 updates
I've updated the links in my OP. I'm downloading it now. A big round of applause for dhacker29 and hashcode for their hard work on this!

[CM] CyanogenMod 10 KANG for the Xperia T [NEW]

This is a CM 10 KANG for the Sony Xperia T.
Thanks to:
CM team - codeworkx, Kali- and freexperia especially - they've done pretty much everything up till this point - hopefully I, personally, will be helping out a bit more when I have time. Right now the only thing I have done is compile and release.
This is an unofficial kang of their work.
Download - http://goo.im/devs/tilal6991/roms/mint/cm/cm-10-20121002-UNOFFICIAL-mint.zip
GApps - http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip
Installation:
Install CWM from my other thread
Flash the zip in CWM
Flash GApps
If this is the first time you have installed CWM then copy the boot.img from inside this ROM's zip and flash it with fastboot
Reboot and enjoy
Working:
Phone functions
Mobile data
WiFi
Partially working:
Graphics - still glitchy in places
Not working:
Camera
Assume everything else - more works than what I've said though
Edit - never mind

When there are codeworkx, kali- and fxp working on it
And when fxp has already made a thread for it, what's the need for this thread????
And this is not development in the remotest sense
Let the real cm10 devs maintain the real thread
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
Yes freexperia has made a thread. However on that thread there are no instructions on flash process, no working/not working list and the download link is unclear.
While this rom right now is based completely on their work I the future I will be using my own configs and sources.
This is basically an unofficial KANG of their work, be nice for that to be included in OP

I have updated the OP and the title to do the above

Wow guys. Its seems that things work differently around here than other devices I have had in the past that I have developed for. I didnt know that KANGS were frowned upon.
I hope I have not annoyed anyone by releasing this KANG and apologise if I have done so.

Its not that, it's just that freexperia haven't even released their first build yet and already someone is kanging, no harm in kanging, just everyone from the Xperia phones has huge respect for them and how much effort they have and are putting in,
I guess it looked like the thread was an attempt of a 1st release AOSP based rom, no harm meant its just how we are
If the KANG was of something different like paranoid or AOKP (which champ has already done) then no one would mind...
Regards

I understand. I too have huge respect for them and have used their work in the past on non Sony devices.
I might do what you suggested and work on paranoid android.

I see no issue with doing this as long as everyone knows it's unofficial. Over on the S2 (which I own) forums there are a number of unofficial CM kangs like this and they're left to carry on as they are. You've given credit's but maybe worth adding also a link to the source so it's clear where you're building from as it's not your source. Once official CM10 is released it'll be over on the Original Development so they'll both be kept separately anyway.
Thanks
AvRS
Hey,
No offense here
I am full OK with Kanging our sources, but please do not release a version (this one is ok but future ones), until we released the very fist one. For now mint is not marked as stable we want to publish soon but it is "unfair" to release our stuff before we decided to go public with it in a good manner. Also for stability it would be nicer to wait for our first version
For future i am really looking forward to see some of your (and other developers) work to contribute back to CM project
Best Regards
Bin4ry
I'm cool with that. I have helped out the CM project in the past and would love to and intend doing so in the future.

Mahdi-Rom Unofficial/Un-maintained builds

Alright folks.
As users of Mahdi-Rom have noticed, Dr87 has been awhile on updates. From reading people say he's stated that he's ceased development for the G2 until Android L drops. Given that, I've began working on my on builds of this rom as well as major modfiications to his base kernel based on Dorimanx's Stock kernel. I had tried Bart452's and the audio patch never worked quite right in all apps. It's also lacking hardware acceleration for video on this rom for some reason.
ALL FILES POSTED HERE ARE "AS-IS". THEY SHOULD ALL BE CONSIDERED EXPERIMENTAL.
I don't plan on providing support, adding devices, changing features. These will simply be builds of the ROM based off of a repo sync ... Nothing more, Nothing Less. These are being made based on the Mahdi 4.4.3-CAF repo source. This may or may not be the correct one, but it boots and seems to work on my device. This then gets the sources from Dr87's upgrade guide added in. lunched as VS980 (my device) and the OTApackage made.
If anyone has any tips/recommendations for better places to pull the source from (if there's a more appropriate one).... OR if there a better place to pull individual portions of the ROM from in the manifest, I'm all ears.
As far as my kernel modifications, I'll just be calling it "SimpleKernel+". I may end up talking to Dorimanx to get his blessing to keep the name, as I don't want to steal his credit or work, but also don't want to cause confusion either. This may take some time to start releasing builds of. For the time being, I've just mass-reverted some of one of Bart452's old ports of Dorimanx's kernel. I would only release for the VS980, as thats my device. But it's pretty quick to build for the others and repack them.
I don't want to sound rude or anything like that. But for the people that don't bother reading... I'm not a dev, I'm not maintaining this, I'm not coding for it. So posting feature requests and such will most likely go ignored.
I'm syncing sources and building. For the kernel, I'm picking commits and building. Most all commits to the kernel will probably come from Dorimanx's repo. I just don't feel right keeping the name when I'm not taking *all* his commits, as I'm going to avoid things for sound and video.
All coding has been done by Dr87 and Dorimanx and all the people they thank in their threads.

Also, for anyone curious. This should work with fauxsound as it has his mods in it, the STweaks app that's included actually has a volume boost bit in it. Also, cf.Lumen 2.40 *will* work with this rom/kernel combo. You just need to prevent it from updating, as newer version do not work with it.
Known issues :
Kernel Video playback doesn't use hardware modes. This prevents using Netflix. I'll investigate into this.
Some proximity issues.

Sorry, I left it out of the op..
You NEED to flash the associated patch still from the official thread.
I build these for my device, hence the name. I only share them because, why not....

Been running on d803 flawlessly since you first posted it, even dirty flashed over d87s last build. Thanks for putting out builds while Dr seems fairly busy which I fully understand as I built and maintained on the i717 for 2 years.

Did you flush dr87's patch from his thread? That step is still required.
Works on my vs980 but I know someone else reported similar

Why would they? Per my op, I'm only syncing Mahdi repos and building with no modifications. They're unofficial because they agent built by Mahdi. They're unmaintained because I'm not going fixes, changes, or anything of the like. These are only up for people that don't build themselves.

Seems 720p YouTube doesn't work for me. Anyone else? Or is this the same as the Netflix issue?

Wait a minute, YOU EXPECT PEOPLE TO READ THE OP? SHAME ON YOU..... THATS PREPOSTEROUS!
/sarcasm
Ok, so after spending the last 4 or 5 days trying to shoe-horn Dorimanx's commits in on Dr87's base... through picks, rebases, reverts... etc... I gave up.
What this means, is that I'm abandoning trying to port his kernel to aosp. What I'll be doing is picking various things to improve the kernel, largely from faux123 on nexus5. This should give us a lot of benefit, with minimal issues. I'll also likely pull the nexus tree for mahdi, which i'd bet is what dr87 was building off of... given the similarity in the devices...
