[Q] [Q] Transparent bottom bar ? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can anyone tell me that will this update make the bottom black bar transparent like it is in the lock screen ? It luks ugly that they don't have transparent bar at the bottom once you unlock the screen. It hides the bottom part of wallpaper and live wallpapers. I hope it does make it transparent. If someone can than please list the changes all the new features coming to android 4.2.2. Thanxs in advance

Hey there!
sorry for activating up that old thread, but i'm trying to get my statusbar transparent at the momen.
I think al almost did it, there's just one strange "bug".
I changed all the *.png relatet to the status bar with transparent pictures, that does work for now i think,
BUT:
If my Screen is locked, i can see the background picture behind the status bar, if screen is unlocked, background picture is "cut" under the statusbar, statusbar is just black, if i drag down the bar, i can see that the dragdown menu is "sliding" between the statusbar and that strange black background....
any suggestions or tips?

If you have it working that far i cen tell you how to see it on regular screen too. You need to be running ADW.launcher (or launcher pro but i have no idea how to enable it)
In ADW launcher there is a setting for Wallpaper hack , in system settings i believe. Turn that off and you should see the wallpaper through the statusbar.
thanks for the reply, would be nice to know how it works with launcher pro, that's my prefered launcher...
will test it in ADW now.
I guess there could be some similar trick to Launcher Pro.
ADW is working fine, looks cool, unfotunately i can't attach files here, if i could, i would share my framework-res.apk with everyone here
I did already build 3 framework-res.apk file, theyre similar to each other, no big changes done, just other style of the status bar and changed battery Icons, sothat normal battery icon is black/white, only the orange an red batteryicons are colored.
Launcher Pro doesn't work, there's no way to use it without the wallpaper hack...
at the moment I'm trying to build my own custom Rom, but have to read more about that before i can realy build one...

[Q] What's the black bar below the status panel

Dear folks,
I've searched the forum for black bar issue below the status panel in home screen but got no results. I wonder what's the black bar below the status panel? Is it the background color (fill in black)? How to change it to transparent and fit with the background picture?
Please help to check the attachment. This black bar occur both in portrait mode and landscape mode.

The one right under the top statusbar is the activity_title_bar.9.png.... it's tough to edit because it requires 9patch work and if not patched right, it causes mad force closes all over the place...

Nav bar

Is there anyway to make the nav bar transparent? Instead of that black bar. Like it is on the home screen. But when you go to a app that Dam black bar.
If it can be done in Lollipop, no one's figured that out yet. Best alternative IMO would be something like pie controls
Yeah I know about pie or swipe. Just wondering about that it would be cool. Pretty sure someone will come up with something thanks.
The problem is apps don't go down to the bottom of the screen due to the Nav bar so if you made it transparent, you'd probably see your home screen wallpaper and that would look naff.

I use expanded desktop and so when I swipe at the bottom they come up transparent.
Never mind I see what your talking about.

Yeah when you use expanded, the app fills down the screen in the gap where the keys would have been. Maybe forcing expanded desktop mode would do more what is being talked about.

How to resize and swipe to hide the navigation bar?

Is there anyway to do this on the G8. I would like to make the navigation bar as tall as the status bar. I have blacken the status bar to hide the notch. If the black region on the top and bottom are the same. I would have a symmetric screen

Really? You would want to do that? Personally I feel like that would look much much worse. I don't know a way to do it though, sorry
