I just tested Nottach Xposed on the (rooted) active (Thanks Geohot!!!) for science, and I was able to remove the NFC and Smart Stay icons without any issues, so I would assume the majority of the other functions work as well. You will recieve a warning message stating the device is not compatible, but just ignore it.
To install the mod, please visit the following threads in order:

Mod (Nottach) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285074
TL;DR (joshuadjohnson22):
1. Install the APK from here
a. Download XposedInstaller.apk and install it
b. Launch the Xposed Installer and click on "Install/Update"
c. Reboot
2. Install the APK from here
3. Enable the module in Xposed

I have chose a lot of settings and everyone of them works. Most have to do with hiding things in the status bar and notification center. Install xposed update reboot, install nottach reboot, enable nottach in the modules of exposed. Chose settings in notch and reboot. Worked like a charm
Now probably a few things do not work but everything I have tried has worked

Nope didn't try that. Not a feature I need so I disabled
So far mods that work with the Xposed/nottach install:
Custum carrier on lockscreen and status bar.
Tap clock for apo (clock)
Change battery icon
Hide "select input method" for kb
Hide emegency call button on lockscreen
Most color/font/size changes (all that I have tried)
Really great mod for customizations.

I've done the same, but I was hoping to be able to change the battery indicator to one of the Circle mods. Hopefully somebody can figure it out now that Nottach has open-sourced his mod.

I think I found the necessary parameters to do that. PM me where to send the test version. I probably wont be able to send it over right away, i am still out of my house
Edit: NVM, I can't seem to do that under SDK, probably requires the framework handling or overriding with NDK. I can disable keyboard pop up within the apps I create, but once the app is not in focus, keyboard respond the same as if nothing happened.
Even if I make it a service, there is no available features for me to disable keyboard globally.
I can, however, use a Broadcast event onreceive to see if the phone is "charging"(or docked, whichever is handled by Atrix on CM7) and prompt the user if they want to switch keyboard to something like this. So, this is one way if the dock is detected, ask if the user want to switch keyboard? But I can't get the permissions to pass the onReceive properly... I am too noob
Another possibility, but this is going to be hard unless CM7 team jumps in, add the docking listener to the default keyboard itself, therefore, if the keyboard itself sees the phone is "docked", dont bother showing up for text edit text fields
I wonder if the Sound Switch can't be handled by the event of pluggin in the cable insted of an app or a widget.
plug in the cable -> start script *sound over hdmi*
plug out the cable -> start scrout *sound over speaker*

CM 7 has HDMI enabled as soon as the screen is on. More of a software limitation right now.
No hardware call is passed from what I can understand

I'm developing application that allows you to control tablet with multitouch gestures. Root access is needed. Currently it allows to execute following gestures:
Back:
Swipe 2 fingers from top downward
Home:
pinch 3-4 fingers
Show/Hide status bar:
Swipe 2 fingers from bottom upward
Please try it out and let me know what you think. What other features or actions would be helpful?
You can download it here:

There are a lot of requests for status bar hiding widgets or apps. So you just start the application when you need to hide status bar (for example before browsing or gaming). You don't lock your device in the middle of gaming.
In my opinion it is still better than all other bar hiding apps (and I'm talking about free version of my app). You have to click something in all of them (and here you click - start app). Just in my app you have the opportunity to control your tablet while bar is hidden.
But if you think this version is useless, I value your opinion.

You don't get any error messages, notifications on gestures nothing? Does the last button in settings screen (Status bar toggle) works (hides/unhides) status bar?
I'm now using this and works brilliant. Finding the swipe gestures to suit me. Hiding and unhiding status bar no lag. Keep up the good work. Bought full version.

I will add setting to turn off toast message on unlock (when tutorial mode is switched off). However free version will stay for occational use. Application contains a lot of native code that will need support with new versions/devices. And the application is niche anyway. I really tried using this version myself and I find it usefull, but you can propose different model, I'm open for ideas.

Well, there are other apps for this (HideBar - free, Honeybar - 1$), my intention is to evolve the gesture part. Allow to create your own gestures and define your own actions.
Any chance of making the gestures more like the ipad? E.g. 5 finger pinch to home? Its a more natural closing type gesture imo

Changed gestures to multitouch (see first post).
Also fixed a bug that I think prevented actions from working on some devices.
Excellent, thanks!
I just bought it and it recognises my gestures fine but it stopped doing anything after the first gesture?
It still pops up with home etc but doesnt do the action.
If i open the gesture app and disable and reenable the service again it works for one action and stops again
Hello All,
I just share to make your Xperia T/TX/GX into full screen mode (Your Device MUST be ROOTED)
First, The apps is not written by me, I just share the apps and the link
Second, I just share my experience on this "If make your device burnt, don't find me!!! ha XD"
To hide your Virtual Button, you need to install the "Full Screen Toggle V2" which come from the Galaxy Nexus
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1497558
Thanks to mrx8836350
But Before you active this Apps, you need to use another apps to make you can press "back , Home, etc...buttons"
So that you need to install the "GN LMT V1.5"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150
Thanks to noname81
The Full Steps (Root your device before start the following steps)
1) Install GN LMT
2) Config the GN LMT, you need to set your Device to "2" from the GN LMT Setting, after that, you assign the action on pie or gestures
"If your gestures is not work, please double confirm you had choose the Device to "2" , from the GN LMT Setting"
3) Test the GN LMT is work or not
4) If work, please make the GN LMT auto start from the GN LMT Setting
5) Install Full Screen Toggle V2 "Must be V2", after that active the Full Screen Toggle
6) Reboot your phone, after that the soft button will disappear and you got the 4.55" full screen
Thanks~~~

I haven't had a chance to work on this yet, but that's a good point. I can probably put the back button in the statusbar but the full-screen issue is a good point. There's not much I can do about that. The camera button can probably be remapped so that's the home button, but that's a bit impractical.
You can always exit games without the home and back buttons anyway

Hello Fish,
Finally I can modify the Navigator Button Size by myself
I search many post, no one can tell me how to solve the aapt bammi issue
After a long long search, I found a post said, if aapt not work then bababababa...
The method is, build the unchange version of the framework-res.apk first
after that, modify the res/dimens, then build the modified version
Extract resources.arsc from both unchange / modified framework-res.apk
use the Binary different software to compare which address value is different
After locate the address, and modify the original framework-res / resources.arsc
But the address is not the same, but the pattern is almost the same, so need to search
Use Hexeditor to edit the value which you want "you changed"
Then put back the resources.arsc to the org. framework-res.apk
Then finish~~~~~
PS: modify the Hex address, call up my memory of playing Nitendo to modify the save file or even crack the PC games password ...ha...
I saw a lot of people not knowing how to configure it, so here's how I got it to work
1. Install Floating Notifications and enable it in the Accesibility menu.
2. Select the box labeled "Launch Apps in Halo Mode"
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3. Go to the app notifications menu and check which ones you want it to notify you for. HINT: if you want a real halo experience the rightmost icon in the app list will make the icon stay floating.
4. This is a personal preference: Go to Customize in Floating Notifications and select "Dock after a few seconds of inactivity" and then at the bottom set "Amount of the icon hidden when docked:" to 55%. If it is more than 55% then you will have trouble clicking the stack.
5. REBOOT PHONE.
Now for the Xposed part.
1. Install Xposed Framework
2. REBOOT PHONE.
3. Go into Xposed Installer and go to "Downloads" and select XHaloFloatingWindow, and then install it.
4. REBOOT PHONE.
5. Go into Xposed Installer and go into "Modules" and check the box "XHaloFloatingWindow".
6. For safe measure REBOOT PHONE. And then you're done
Lemme know if y'all need any help!
Also on the reboots it hung on the splash for a while.
Oh yeah not responsible if your device catches fire.
If you're having a problem with the stock messenger app look here:

using this will make the sense stock messager app from working properly as you won't be able to see the "SEND" button in the halo window
*correction* you just have to change the height of portrait 0.8 or at least for me, maybe this doesn't happen with other ppl.

How is this different than using floating notifications by itself??
using this will make the sense stock messager app from working properly as you won't be able to see the "SEND" button in the halo window

Because this actually opens the window of the app. Floating notifications opens the whole app.

In the attachment you can find two small mods for stock firmwares.
Both are based on NPN25.137.35 build.
1. Potter_Stock_VRT_status_center_clock.zip - Center clock in statusbar ( based om VRTheme so it should be compatible with all firmwares )
2. Potter_SystemUI_Clock+Battery_deodex.zip - Battery percentage + center clock in statusbar ( deodexed SystemUI, it'll work for sure on NPN25.137.35 firmware )
3. Potter_Stock_VRT_status_right_clock.zip - Right clock in statusbar ( revert to original position, based om VRTheme so it should be compatible with all firmwares )
4. Potter_SystemUI_Battery_deodex.zip - Battery percentage in statusbar ( deodexed SystemUI, it'll work for sure on NPN25.137.35 firmware )

Please make a backup of your /system/priv-app/SystemUI folder before flashing!!
Installation:
Download the file and flash it through TWRP
Cheers!

Yeah! It works perfectly! Thanks a lot!
@eskamhl Do you think you can make the 4G in status bar font a little bit smaller? =p

If you mean only 4G icon, that's probably just a PNG so it is definitely possible.
I'll look into it.
Nice mod..can you make for moto G4 too?
any idea this to work moto g4 plus? or any link?

Any way to have only battery percentage, that too without custom rom or without custom recovery?

It's not easy as I thought because those icons are in xml (vectorial) format, so I should find the proper replacement for them.

The VRT mod could work also for G4/G4plus.
I don't know if I'll have time to do the percentage one for g4, but in order to do that you should send me a deodexed systemui.apk or systemui(apk)
+ systemui(odex) + framework-res.apk + boot.oat in case it's still odexed.

You can enable systemui tuner and turn on battery percentage inside the icon ( for me it was really too small and unreadable ), or maybe search for some app that will put a percentage on the left of the statusbar.
@eskamhl Could you provide only percentage next to the battery icon (without centered clock)?

Done, just added to first post :good:
Any way to remove this mod...after installing my navbar also changed
Worked beautifully. Was momentarily concerned as after I flashed and said done twrp said could not mount storage but booted up fine and now percentage is nice and big thank you!

I would love to see more mods like these as I can't have xposed and I don't want to have camera troubles with a custom Rom just to get the sweet customization I am used to
Morning,
There is an inbuilt systemUI tuner if you know where to look.
Swipe down twice on the status bar until you see the little gear icon. Press and hold it (5 seconds should be plenty)
Should get a notification saying systemUI tuner is activated. A new menu is then activated in settings.
It allows you to turn on battery percentage. Removal of ANY icon from status bar. Few other things that I can't remember. Will not allow you to centre clock unfortunately.
Hope that is of some use.
Thanks
Wayne

It doesn't allow centering of the clock and the only battery percentage it allows is some tiny little Itty bitty text inside the battery bar that is near impossible to see when the battery is as certain percentages

I installed the zip for battery percentage, then went to ui tuner and chose (don't show battery) now I have only the percentage text huzzah
