Need to get back to stock so did a nan restore, but lost touchscreen function.
So flashed arhd11 back, now working fine again. I did update to the newest firmware so do I need to flash the original firmware back so it works with my old nan restore?
my phone is Bootloader unlocked, cwm and s-off HTC_001.
Cheers

You need to read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358738
That thread got me back to stock, and I now have official 4.2.2 from HTC and it's brilliant.
I would backup everything though as you'll lose it all.
Read everything in the thread, shouldn't take more than half hour or even less to do.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you're talking about firmware. Firmware is completely separate from roms, Viper's rom is based off 1.29. You just need a rom that's on the 1.31 firmware like OMJ's rom. The reason the old RUU failed is because you have the 1.31 firmware so the old 1.29 RUU won't work.
Interesting thanks for the help

All,
I am pulling my hair out, I decided to root my phone today so I could delete the default APN's, I have tried CWM and also TWRP.
All was fine, as soon as I installed Busybox something went horribly wrong, my phone will not boot up and just displays the "HTC Logo" I can get to the boot menu and boot to either CWM or TWRP. However there is nothing I can do within there, I cannot find a RUU for my model (CID is Orange) I have found a nandroid backup but CWM/TWRP refuses to see it via OTG and I have tried lots of USB Sticks.
I really do not know what to do next, I cannot turn S-OFF as HBOOT is 1.54
What can I do, I have read thread after thread.
Is there a default recovery.img or one for my carrier as I cannot find it.
Many thanks,
Dale
Managed to restore a nandroid, but I have no touch screen!
Tried clearing cache etc, have currently got a mouse plugged in to it to control it, there is an OTA available so going to try that.

Don't try it with a custom recovery. You'll need to relock your bootloader too.
No touchscreen is a firmware issue. The nandroid you restored will be an old one not compatible with the latest firmware..

Thank you for the reply
I've re-locked the bootloader.

Just for now for the sake of getting a working phone I would just flash a 4.2.2 stock ROM, or Sense-based Rom. You'll need to unlock your bootloader again obviously.

Thanks for the reply, was up till 3am trying to get around this and got it going eventually.
That's what I have done for now, I sideloaded a stock Sense ROM which came with a stock recovery.img, guess I have to wait for a S-OFF for 1.54 if it ever happens.
htc one deleted os

Hey guys i was running Coin 3.2.2 (4.3) rom with the latest firmware, and so i downloaded the tmobile stock from thats been odexed and when i flashed it everything went ok, however once the phone booted up the screen no longer was working? anyone run into this? I tried flashing the stock tmobile firmware but it's still unresponsive.
You mean that the display is on but does not respond to touch? I had that problem because I had updated the touch drivers which apparently don't work on 4.1.2. If you have s-off you should be able to downgrade the drivers or run the RUU.

Yes cyrixfreak is correct I did the same and freaked out but went back to 4.3 I'm okay with no WiFi calling

Got it working! Thanks guys!
So I had my HTC One rooted and flashed viper rom. I relocked the bootloader and flashed back to stock rom 1.31.651.2 and everything went smoothly. I went to system updates and it found the 4.3 update and downloaded it. When It gave me the option I clicked install now and the phone rebooted, but into the HTC screen with the development warning and then straight into bootloader and did nothing after that. I rebooted and tried install now again and the same thing happened. What am I doing wrong? Why wont the 4.3 install?
I would suggest getting S-OFF before taking the OTA.
BTW it's NEVER a good idea to take an OTA
I would assume there's already an odex and deodex version of stock 4.3 floating around somewhere. That's usually the first things devs release when it comes to OTAs.

If you are taking an ota on a stock rooted Rom you need to.flash the stock recovery. It will not work if you still have custom recovery on your phone.

Sure it is, I took it knowing I had S-Off and that the OTA wouldnt reenable the security flag. That's all you need to do is be S-Off to ensure you can downgrade if need be.

Awesome. That worked. It wouldn't install the first 2 times, it pretty much just went to installer, did nothing, and then factory reset itself, but the third time was a charm and it installed fine. Thanks so much for your help!! Greatly appreciate it.
My phone screen was cracked this morning and the store said it would have to go through insurance for replacement. My phone is rooted and was looking for what needs to be done. I did a backup with TWRP and backed up all user files and system data with TI-Backup. My main questions are:
1. Do I need to set my phone back to stock, unrooted, and lock the bootloader? Easiest way to do this if so?
2. Are there any new updates/hboot that will make it harder to unlock and root the replacement? This one was unlocked and rooted with 1.29.651.10
Thank you
Okay Replacement came and hboot is 1.44, software version 1.31.651.2
Going to try unlocking and rooting the same way as before.
As for the old one I gues deleting any root apps like superSU and flashing a stock rom will get it locked and unrooted again?
Any help appreciated.
Since the new phone is 1.31, could there be issues restoring my 1.29 nandroid backup? Or should I so a rollback to stock 1.29 first?

As far as I know you can't restore a1.29 nandroid if your updated to1.31 due to touchscreen drivers being updated. You would be able to flash it on but have no touchscreen at all

If i'm not mistaken, 1.31 isn't the 4.3 update with the new firmware. The build for 4.3 is 3.04 so you should be fine restoring your nandroid. You shouldn't run into any touch screen issues.
S-off first
