Hi. I dont use SD card , because 5GB of internal memory is enough for me, but when I try to use camera it just write: Inseret SD card before using camera. Even photogalery wont load pictures from internal memory of the phone
With stock ROM everything was OK ,but now...
I am using cyanogen latest nightly build (but with RC1 it was the same problem)
Anyone know solution to this problem ?
Either **** about with the mount points or get yourself an SD card.

Yeah i have got and SD card on spare, but it is a shame have a 5GB of memory and dont use it
You can change some .fstab file around and it'll work, search on the forums I found it here myself
I'm new to the Nook, I've had it for just over a week and have been running CM7 stable on the sd card from day one. I decided to install the newest nightly (168 I think) bc of increased battery life.
I followed the sd card boot instructions I found on this forum and elsewhere: drag and drop new nightly onto sd card, boot into recovery, but the update wouldn't take. Took the plunge to wipe the sd card, rewrote the size agnostic boot image, put on the new nightly, nothing. What finally worked was me increasing the size of the boot partition to a gig, and then the new nightly finally installed.
Alls good right? NOPE. Now for some reason I can't access ANY files I have on my emmc! I have all my books and videos stored there bc of the limited sd card space, but now I can't access them on the new nightly like I did on the stable version. I can see the emmc files in the file manager, but when I try to open books with aldiko it says "sd card not found" or "operation could not be completed. " in settings it says that the sd card is unmounted, but when I go to mount it, my notification bar says the "sd card is damaged" and that "you may have to reformat the sd card." It also seems the sd card is recognized as "internal memory" in the storage part of the setting menu.
Help! Should I drop down to the previous nightly? Reduce the size of the boot partition? Please treat wiping the sd card again as a last resort. Thanks in advance for your help.

My suggestion is getting a new uSD card.
What was your card capacity? 1GB?

Thanks for the response! This is really confusing me.
My sd card is an old 2 GB sandisk I took from an old berry I had.
But per my post above im not sure that the problem is with the sd card. It worked perfectly with cm7 stable. Im thinking maybe I messed up the installation process? Please help!

Also, the actual problem here is not accessing the sd card, it is accessing books on the emmc! For some reason cm7 wont let me open books from my internal memory bc of an sd card issue. Im confused.
Again, the sd card worked perfectly in cm7 stable. AND cm7 is booting fine from the SD card! Please help folks!

Hello everyone.
I am using the Cyanogen mod 7 on my Galaxy Ace. Everything was going fine, I used link to SD to make an Ext partition and linked/moved all apps to the SD card.
Today I went to sleep and rebooted the Galaxy cause it had been a long time since I powered it off. When I woke up, all the widgets were broken and I had some overlay saying "Safe mode" on the bottom. I rebooted and widgets kept broken.
I realized that ALL the apps on the SD were gone, so I suspected it was not mounted.
Now the problem is that I can't get the phone to read any SD card at all. New, old, formated...nothing.
Thanks in advance if you can help me.
Regards.

Goto CWM and format your card. If in CWM i doesn't work, use a PC to do so and do not connect it via USB. Use a card reader or something. What class SD card are you using?
Anything below class 4 with Link2SD is bound to get damaged. I lost a 4GB class 2 and another 8GB class 2 because of link2sd.:crying:
And while you're on cm7, use s2e, it's recommended over link2sd for CM7. :good:

I can't, it says unable to mount in the CWM. The card is class 4.
But the problem is not the card, because I can read it in PC. And I tried another card in the phone and can't read it too. So the problem is in the card reader/mount.

Flash to stock and check if the problem persists. If yes, then maybe your card slot is damaged.
Hi,
I flashed CM 10 (latest build) yesterday night on my Bell HTC Raider 4G LTE after doing all the steps from unlocking the bootloader, to S-OFF, etc.. and all went fine. I tried to install Swiftkey but could not because it always ask for SD Card which I already have in the device. I can see the SD mount from OI File manager. Although it has some files in it, I cannot see them. I tried to run the camera, and I got the same issue asking for SD card. I hope you can help. Is there a way at least to make the internal SD take place of the external one.
This is the structure I have in my phone:
/mnt/external_sd/ (removable SD card)
/mnt/sdcard/ (empty)
/storage/sdcard0/ (empty)
/storage/sdcard1/ (removable SD card too)
/external_sd/ (again removable SD card)
There is no directory /mnt/emmc/
Get TWRP...ditch CWM
use USB mount in twrp... plug into windows... let windows format it...
Try again

I've been having the same problem with CM10 after the last build. It will see the SD card on the phone using file manager, but will not mount the SD card as a drive when connected to my Windows machine (internal storage connects fine). Another Undocumented Feature?

This is a known issue with cyanmod 10. Update to the latest CM10 or just flash another rom, till the issue gets sorted out.
you can change the mounting type to MTP and it'll mount both at the same time. also, after you connect it and click the "mount" option on the phone, it mounts one of the cards, and then if you dismount it and remount it, it'll be the other card.
I tried taking a picture yesterday, as it was taking my phone crashed and rebooted. Usually I don't find this to be a big deal, but when it rebooted the phone came up with a notification that "Blank SD card: SD card is blank or has unsupported filesystem." When I click on that it says "Format SD card? All data on your card (under path '/storage/sdcard0') will be erased. This action can't be reversed!"
Although I believe sdcard0 is internal memory, I backed up my sd card just in case by plugging the micro sd card (32 gb patriot class 10, about 22 months old) into my computer and it read just fine, so I copied all the data off of it, formatted the sd card, copied all the data back on, and turned on my phone. I still get the same error and can run ES File Explorer and it shows all my data on the sd card in /storage/sdcard1 (although opening up the Gallery app shows "No external storage available" but opening up pics from ES File Explorer still shows them behind the message). Just to confirm, sdcard0 is the internal memory right? If I format sdcard0 will that format my entire rom? Am I better off wiping and reflashing? I don't think I have anything important on the internal memory.
I'm running cm-10.1-20130806 (waiting to upgrade to 4.3 when Bluetooth is working).

Wiping internal memory worked fine, thanks again for the help. I thought I would have more free time to try out your pac rom, hopefully I can get around to flashing this weekend.

Dunno what to tell ya. It worked for me the entire time while on vacation. Make sure to click bluetooth and go into the deeper settings and turn it on in there.
