[Q] about the Stock Rom that came with my phone

i have several issues that i want anyone to clarify please:
1- my phone is HTC ONE M7u with MID PN701000, But the CID is HTC_BS001 wich i've known that this CID is for the developer edition version
and my phone is NOT a developer edition, and i don't know what is the proper stock rom for my phone since i've installed custom recovery and custom rom and i want to get back to 100% stock
tip: the phone downloaded this OTA once i opened the phone for the first time

2- about the S-off and S-on, if i have S-off and i reverted to 100% stock rom and recovery will this prevent the phone from updating to 4.3 via OTA ?

3- can i execute S-off while using custom Rom ? or i have to be stock ???

4- i tried to download some stock Ruu.exe from (Bugsylawson "which is unavailable now,htc1guru and androidruu.com) but i've never been able to complete the download or even pass 30% and i don't know why..is there any website other than those that supports resuming !!

Wait, if your phone is an M7u, there is a prob, because the MID and the CID of this version aren't right.
So, are you S-OFFed or you're S-ON?
If you're s-off you can revert back to 100% stock and get the ota update by HTC

yes it's M7UL and i didn't S-off the phone yet

[Q] S-on? Flash a RoM?

What if any ROMS can I use if I am S-On and on the 4.3 firmware?
I knew what I could do with S-Off, but having only S-On has me scared to try a rom without fully knowing first what I can do.
If I can flash a rom, should it be only the ones built off the 4.3?
Thanks for any help, been doing searches and have netted some results but not for my phone and not for the newest 4.3 HTC update.

Hi i bought an HTC one 801s to my friend. which is in viper rom.. want to go back to stock and remove all data even the firmware. well i managed to install a stock OS but it is in taiwan and it made my 801s to 801e... i got my info down there way back before i installed taiwan rom which is .709. and i just want to go back to stock firmware of myself 801s. enligh. im here in philippines. any help which stock rom should i download.

I thought that sort of thing was impossible if you have S-ON? You need to find out your CID (in fastboot) and find an RUU based on that. If you can't, there are plenty of third party ROMs that are very similar to stock (and in English).

guys i rly missed up with my phone get it s-off and rooted
and convert it to GPE now i want to back to stock sence rom + rcovery
i still want be s-off but with stock sence rom and recovery my old cid is 621 and my new change cid is j15
can any one just lead me how to back i like to stay at j15 just need stock rom with recovery sry i am kind noob

i'm going to try some custom roms on my gf's One M7, unfortunately she updated her M7 to Lollipop so i can't make an S-ON (right?!) except sunshine, which is not free. Anyway, i think S-ON is problematic but still ok, but which rom can i flash with S-ON?
Only stock based? Or any aosp based, but not higher Android than 5.0 ? I would like to try SkyDragon (Sense 7) but not sure if i brick the phone

If the phone is now running a lollipop firmware, you can flash any rom you'd like. S-On doesn't matter.

Even the Lollipop 5.1 (e.g. from M7 GPE) or 6.0 unofficial releases (if they are released/ported for M7)?
How about flashing cutom kernels (They will boot?) ?

System, boot(kernel), radio and recovery partitions are not secured so you don't need soff to flash a rom, kernel. Radio or recovery, you only need an unlocked bootloader.
