FAQ:
[Q] Pons, why are you compiling your own? Why don't we get official CM10.2 goodness?
[A] Well, now, why don't you take a gander at this: CyanogenMod: CM 9+, N1 (and other S1 SoC)
[Q] Why did you disappear?
[A] Long story short, my computer broke right before I went on a business trip. Now I'm stuck on a side of mountain, but only have a 256kbps internet, which has a lot of filters on it (I actually can't download from Goo.im; I have to ssh into my profile to download.) And now I'm back in lovely Hawaii.
[Q] Well, that doesn't sound pleasant. Are you back for good?
[A] Hopefully.
[Q] Oh. That's cool. Onto what really matters: how often are you going to update?
[A] Will shoot for weekly, or bi-weekly (if major changes come out).
Credits/Thanks
All credit goes to Cyanogen and the rest of the CM team, and especially our HTC Incredible maintainers, as listed by the CyanogenMod site: jistone (aka CUViper/This Guy), slayher, and of course, koush. Of course, don't forget about the Evervolv team, who have given our outdated qsd8k device a lot of love, despite being dropped by CM.
In addition, tiny4579 for his incredikernel, and for helping with my builds while I'm away.
For some reason, I have received several requests to put a donation link in my profile. You can always donate to the CyanogenMod project or the Evervolv project, but if you feel you HAVE to donate to me, I've put a link in my profile, and all donations will go towards upgrading my computer, so I can stay on top of this for CM11 and beyond.
Footnote: This thread is a WIP. I will probably restructure it and try to make it look pretty, and I might add a Q&A thread, depending on how many inane and repetitive questions I get that take away from development. I also didn't include any Launcher screen shots, since that is the easiest thing to change and theme.
Due to Goo's ongoing upgrades, the download link isn't showing yet. If it's not up by tonight, I'll upload to dev-host as well.
Alright, Goo is up, and got 20 downloads so far. I don't think I said this, but a full wipe is recommended when coming from any other ROM (CM10.1, Evervolv, etc). You don't have to, but don't complain to me if it doesn't work.
Also, an important note: internal emmc storage has been switched with sdcard. Preludedrew thinks this will be best since it will allow the ROM to run without a sdcard. But you want to wipe internal (emmc) and external (sdcard) storage to prevent conflicts.
Good to see you back and building again!
I might have to dust off my Inc and give this a whirl... if I can get it to charge up.
great! I will be following the progress on this ROM with great interest.
Thanks again!

My bad. I recently changed the naming scheme from cm10.2 to cm-10.2 (to bring it in line with how cm labels their branches) and forgot to update the OP. OP updated now. Thanks for the heads up. And dev-host will be updated only upon request since Goo is relatively stable now, and I don't feel like uploading to multiple mirrors if I don't have to. Yes, I'm that lazy.

Thanks....I downloaded 11/6 nightly and it seems data doesn't connect. Wifi works great I did a logcat but I can't connect to my device neither emmc or sdcard show up. I am going to download initial build and see if that solves the data problem

Alright, some questions/statements to make sure I got the issue right:
Data doesn't connect on the latest 11/06 build?
Does network info show correctly on this (under Menu, Settings, About phone, Status, check Network for Verizon Wireless, Signal strength for a decent signal, and Mobile network type for CDMA - EvDo rev.A:6 I beleive it is)
Internal and external storage isn't showing up on the 11/06 build?
Now when upgrading from a non 10.2 build, did you wipe everything, including system, data, and datadata?
Then you downgraded to the 11/04 build and data still doesn't work?
How about the network info on this one?
How about internal and external storage on this one?
And when downgrading, did you wipe system, data, and datadata?
Also, can you get me a radio logcat (logcat -b radio)? Be sure to scrub it for and remove your phone number.
I currently have 35 downloads on 11/06 and 28 on 11/04, and this is not including the 100 or so download stats from 11/04 that were just wiped from Goo recently. Is anyone else seeing either of these two issues?

Thanks Pons! I was waiting for someone to do this! I know that wimax/some data isn't working on the gs2 e4gt(Sprint) just an FYI, but thank God I don't use data!
I noticed that standby battery drain is pretty drastic. My music phone sat on standby from 100% at 6 hours and its down to 74%. Is that normal?

@Vernox701 sorry I haven't had time to really look into that yet. I did see the data not connecting in your logcat, but didn't have time to drill down into the why. Anyone else with mobile data running this ROM see (or don't see) any data drops, or even not connecting at all?

Not quite "normal," but not bad enough as a cause for alarm (imo). I tend to lose 10-20% over the course of sleeping six hours.
Alright. The last hour it has sat at 73% so it must just be a sporadic thing.

ROM performs so well. 20131106 was my first build. 20131107 made my INC a speed demon--so much faster than the Tiny 20130708 build of CM10.1!!! Holy crap, this phone screams! Data not working as of yet, but I am near wifi a lot, and the new predictive dialer in 4.3 is very useful. Flashing 20131108 soon
The purpose of this thread is to show the current status of CM 11 (Android 4.4 KitKat) on the P990 (LG Optimus 2X) and to discuss the various builds that may appear.
I will try to keep this post updated with the latest info about CM 11 for our p990. If you guys find new information that you think should be in this post, then please make a post about it.
Please remember that there is no support for any bugs you might find in builds listed here!
You are very welcome to post about stuff that is broken, which has not been discovered before and I will then include it in the working / not working section below.
Status:
@tonyp have released a new test build (cm-11-20140120-UNOFFICIAL-p990) and here are his notes for it:
tonyp said:
Last notes:
As always thx to @hjuuni for his great work, without him this wouldn't be possible.
The kernel is NOT updated! Do that yourself.
The PerformanceControl app you'll find in the Appdrawer is there by accident and is a _different_ version than the one baked into the settings.
Don't use it, or just remove the apk from /system/app.
The reason for stuff like that is simple: This is an alpha testbuild for myself which I'm just sharing because I haven't released anything in a while and am going to be busy again during the next days.
Once I do a proper release I will of course polish it.
So don't complain, if you do I just don't share the testbuilds anymore, easy as that :cyclops:

The working / not working list looks a little better for this build and the changes are great, so I think it is just a matter of stability if you are thinking about running this build as a daily driver. I can't conclude anything about stability just yet though.
If you dirty flash this build over your current CM 11 ROM then remember to do this first:
pengus77 said:
For those of you having issues with the hardware keys (not working after dirty flashing) I found reason and solution
Most probably you had (like me) the google keyboard selected as default before flashing the new build... which removes it. This leaves the rom without a default input system, which in turn blocks also the events from the hw buttons (excluding home apparently). To fix this, just go to settings -> input and click the little settings icon on the right of the aosp keyboard. By doing this, that keyboard will become the new default one and everything will work again. Have fun

The previous build (cm-11-20131226-UNOFFICIAL-p990) is working very well as a daily driver if you can live without BT calls and wifi tethering.
The builds come with kk alpha 15 by @pengus77 and a mini gapps package.
To read more about the status of the KK 3.1 kernel check this thread: [KERNEL][stable: M1 (2.6.39.4) - exp: Alpha 28 (3.1.10)] Kowalski Kernel.
Most stable test build: cm-11-20131226-UNOFFICIAL-p990 or cm-11-20140120-UNOFFICIAL-p990?

Please don't nag anyone about ETA's or progress updates.
Builds:
Test builds by @tonyp can be found in his basketbuild folder. These are for the new bootloader only! Use the tool from this thread to convert to old bootloader.

Changelogs
cm-11-20140120-UNOFFICIAL-p990 by @tonyp:
Ported my TheROM hardwarekeys customization options (open power menu, screen off, toggle torch, take screenshot, toggle last app).
If someone is wondering, personally I do the following changes:
double press home: power menu
long press menu button: screen off
short press search: recent apps switcher
long press search: In-app search
Added my dynamic Quickmemo support which activates when you flash the (CM10.2) Quickmemo app. Untested!
Replaced CMs performance menu with Omnis PerformanceControl.
It's been a bit more work than I hoped, but it's really nice imo (as it's fully baked into the Settings app, which I like a lot :good
This hides the zRAM preferences currently, though (so you'd have to disable it via the build.prop if for whatever reason you don't like zram).
Cheerypicked the commit which keeps the InCallUI in memory (thx @pengus77 for discovering it)
debloated and slimmed down the ROM (CM Updater etc. stuff gone). Forgot the Movie Studio which will go in the next version
Updated mini gapps to 4.4.2
Synced (mainly) to CM11 M2 (this might be related to the issues, I'll try a full nightly build once I find the time)
Pre-included BarcodeScanner (as I use it to connect to my wifi after a full wipe).
Using tegra2 optimized bionic instead of the generic one, thx to @Firtecy. No idea if this has an impact.
Removed Google Dialer and Google Keyboard. You can flash them yourself if you want them.
Edit: Oh I almost forgot, fixed some permissions (mainly bluetooth related), but I have no idea if this has any effect.
I don't have any bluetooth devices here.
Lowered overall vibration intensity.
cm-11-20131226-UNOFFICIAL-p990 by @tonyp:
switch to bcmdhd & 3.1 kernel (kk alpha 15)
fully fixed internal storage
removed the CM crap (CM Account, CMUpdater, CMFota)
synced to the newest CM11 sources
Reserved for @tonyp.

An earlier test build had non oft the hot reboots wheb turning screen off. It seems to something with the surfaceFlinger, but not directly the surfaceflinger. But it is something in frameworks/native.
The first testbuild was quite stable related to hot reboots. But there are problems related to SD card, wifi, camera...

I'm glad to hear that hasn't been a consistent issue. I noticed tonyp wrote some notes about the build from 02/12 being more stable with regards to the hot reboots. I haven't tested that build myself though. Thanks for the info and keep up the good work.
I just tested the latest build from 6/12 and updated the working / not working section accordingly. You will notice that I added some logs in case you guys are interested.

I just tested build cm-11-20131202-UNOFFICIAL-p990 and it seems quite stable as I had 0 hot reboots during the hour that I was testing. The hot reboots when turning the screen off is also gone, just like @Firtecy said earlier. The build have no gapps though. Apart from the hot reboots this build have almost the same issues as two most recent ones. Check it out in the working / not working section.

Thats right and because of that i use the libgui, libui, and libsurfaceflinger from that build if i need a stable build regards of hot reboots.
That works for nearly all new CyanogenMod builds i made.
So you can test other builds, but when you get a dark screen, just push the libs to /system/lib/ and reboot. For me it worked several times. But when cm update their sources in next time, i don't know if it still works.

CM11 ROM for SU660 maybe help our developers. It is said that it doesn t have hot reboots and works ok.Here is a link of this rom:
http://d-h.st/hU8
I've built a new version, which should fix most of the apparent issues.
No constant hot reboots anymore and a working camera :good:
Edit: It appears only the preview works, actually taking pictures doesn't.
The external SD card doesn't get mounted properly yet, but apart from that it should be fairly stable to use (although I still wouldn't recommend it as a daily driver).
Note that this does still ship with the Kowalski Kernel. The 3.1 kernel will make a huge difference once it's fully ready.
Getting the kernel stable now should be the first priority now I think, if that turns out great the future of KitKat should be a lot brighter.
Unfortunately i'm extremely busy and will continue to be so, this is just a quick build I've been working on every now and then.
It might as well be the last one I'll be able to make until next year
Huge thanks to @hjunii, this is largely based on his SU660 build.
Download:
http://tonyp.basketbuild.com/index.php?dir=main/CM-11.0/
Edit: some more notes regarding the build:
I've enabled each and every of the low RAM configs. This does disable some of the nice animations and apparently even the transparent statusbar but in return it will result in a smoother device experience.
Some of these effects will get enabled again at a later stage, I just wanted to see which measures kitkat does offer for low end devices.
I did not yet do any customizations to the build whatsoever apart from the needed changes.
I would suggest you remove/disable/freeze the CM Updater, it's useless as we don't have official support anyways and it takes about 2mb of ram.
(but even with the included gapps we do have >120mb free ram after a reboot, Google really brought down the ram usage of their apps & framework!)
Allow me some general advice:
Pretty please do not constantly ask all those people who're working on pushing the device forward about their progress.
You might not believe it, but they will tell you if there is anything new that's worth mentioning.
I'm seeing all development threads cluttered by meaningless posts, it's insane.
Yes, I know at the 2x (and in general at xda) the development section is often misused for unimportant comments and this might not be a problem when a ROM is established and only gets minor updates.
But ask yourself if you're doing yourself a favor if you're making useless posts in the dev threads which will make it harder for the devs to find the rare useful posts somewhere between all those spam.
(This does not apply to this very thread as far as I'm concerned as it's in the general section - but ultimately it's @Fíghter02's decision as he's the OP).
Fantastic tonyp, just fantastic thanks
I had install today's version everything work perfect very fast fluid just only thing about sdcard like the first picture that sdcard report error AND I prefer to use external SD as sdcard0 and internalSD as sdcard1 so I push some script into /etc/init.d and bingo other picture.
IF someone want to try just push 99kmount file into /etc/init.d and set permission to rwxr-xr-x OR wait for tonyp add feature of switch sdcard like the previous rom has in setting.
EDIT 99kmount file content for script are
#!/system/bin/sh
mount -o rw,dirsync,nosuid,nodev,noexec,uid=1000,gid=1015,fmask=0702,dmask=0702 -t vfat /dev/block/vold/179:11 /storage/sdcard1
mount -o rw,dirsync,nosuid,nodev,noexec,uid=1000,gid=1015,fmask=0702,dmask=0702 -t vfat /dev/block/vold/179:17 /storage/sdcard0
SORRY IT seem to be trouble with camera so please do not use it just delete file if you create it SO it will be back to tonyp default.
wow,downloading now.....great dev @tonyp

video player quit when playing .avi or displaying black screen but the audio is there also .wmv is not supported.
Thanks,
This is the best rom so far , bluetooth audio works perfectly , camera works fine , you can flash latest stock gapps on It , It doesn't use much battery and Its beautiful .
Will Blekota V10 Rom be released by OTA or I must wait to upgrade manually?
Delete here my post please
I believe Its the nandroid backup you are restoring ,
try this :
1-Go to SImple Explorer , back up your apps and transfer them into a pc
2-Go to TWRP Recovery , do a factory reset , wipe cache/dalvick , wipe data , format system
3-Install rom , install gapps
4-wipe cache/dalvick
5-restart
6-install your apps by transfering apks back to the device and installing them
I have no network issue with any custom ROM. With android 4.3 and original ROM, I just used patched modem and kernel but here I can't find out which one works, same with CM11.
Any sugestions for SlimKat?
Ebay app won't work with Slimkat 4.4.4
Hello I'm new here. I recently got my i9300 rooted and flashed with Slimkat 4.4.4.
First of all I would like to thank the developers for all the great work. You did a great job on this rom!!!
I found only one bug so far and that's the ebay-app. This shuts down immediately after the start up of the app. Can anyone help me with this problem?
Thanks for your help.
UPDATE: The problem is solved after a few times re-installation of the ebay-app.
Same for me (v9), my phone hangs after charging while off.
No charging led, just the big battery pic.
I'm to unplug the battery than plug it again to boot up...
Any idea? Kernel issue?
Thank you

hi,
I also have problems with the camera of this ROM, for example I can't record videos with instagram or whatsapp the app of camera crashes and If I select to save photos or videos in SD I get an error that not detect a SD card and it works correctly.
Sometimes the app of camera doesn't start and I have to clear the cache app and do a wipe cache and dalvik cache to get it working again.
any solution to fix it?
hi
try antutu benchmark
kernel
what kernels are supported? cos i have agniPure kernel already installed..
so can i flash directly? or do i need to factory reset my phone?
battery drain slimkat 9.0
I've flashed slimkat 9.0 on my galaxy i9300. The only problem i have is battery drain when phone is not beeing used(when it's locked). I think the reason for that is CPU which is constantly working. How could i fix this, is there any other suitable kernel for this ROM or something else? I attached photos of my battery stats and usage.

Re [Q&A] [ROM][OFFICIAL][Lollipop 5.1][TENDERLOIN] PAC-ROM LP-MR1 Beta-1
ROM: pac_tenderloin_LP-MR2.Beta-1.Unofficial_20150608-111712.zip
Purpose: Feedback
Installed from Touchpad Toolbox V42.
Complete Data Wipe.
HP Touchpad 32GB.
Just about when Google begins to download Apps and Settings during the prompted welcome setup the Touchpad rebooted. The ROM came back up with the WiFi disabled and message about Camera stopped. Re-enabling Wifi locked the tablet hard. Reset and reboot to try Wifi again. The Wifi settings were lost. Re-added the settings and all is well.
Not sure why the panic attack but I figured you might want to know. It's been running solid since.
pac man LP 5.1 boot order
I upgrade from to PAC Man LP 5.1 using twrp and now whenever it reboots default is twrp and not LP in moboot. How can I change the sequence to default to select booting in LP. Many thanks

Find the file moboot.default in /boot. Using a root file editor, change the contents from TWRP to:
(note capitalization):
Code:
CyanogenMod
Editing files in /boot is tricky. It may not save it, in which case you'll need to save your file under a different name, delete the original moboot.default file, then rename your saved file as moboot.default.

Thanks for quick reply. I tried to change permission using Android Browser and ESplorer with no luck. It won't let me delete boot.default or modify the file. Do I need to delete the file connecting to my PC or using toolbox to delete the boot.default. I was trying to install your version of LP 5.1 with tool box but it didnt like the zero gapp file from op. So I install with TWRP. Now the boot.default read what is left from previous build of LP "everVolv".

I don't know if it's still the case, but in the past you often needed to wipe going between AOSP builds and not. That it says EverVolv seems to indicate it's not been cleaned. In any case, make sure you have root. Hit the build number in "about" 5 times to get developer options and turn on root in the developer options. The root apps should let you modify after that.

I was not able to install PacMan LPGA 5.1 with toolbox. It said something wrong with the gapps file. How did you install it? With toolbox? I tried with several different gapps in the Op but fail to install with toolbox. So I download the Rom and move to external card intt folder that was created with tool box from evervolv then use twrp wipe system data delvik and cache then install. Will that consist of clean install or do I need to install with toolbox?
Anyway I got the problem fixed using your advise to to turn on root access to App in developer option and install SuperSu then with root browser to change permission and delete old moboot.default and past a new one that I previously copied to a different folder.
Thanks for all the help. Still can not figure out how to install PacMan LPGA 5.1 WITH toolbox?

In the about section this rom build said LP-MR1 Beta2. One of your post said it should be LP-MR2 Beta1. I downloaded the 6_08 build after you erase the 06_09 build.
latest 06_15 update
Hi I just update to the 6_15 update and can not log in to Google play? Is there a fix around it or do I have to down grade back to 6_08 version. Thanks

Downgrade. Read in the development thread.
Just did a clean install with jcs's TPToolbox, installed cleanly and seems to work great! The only thing that's bugging me right now are the volume buttons, since I tend to use my Touchpad in portrait orientation, which makes things a bit confusing XD

What is a bluetooth WIP? Camera? Cache?
Hi, I upgraded from CM11 to CM12 unofficial tenderloin on Rolands thread to the Pac Rom and it is wayyyy better and wanted to give my praise and thanks.
Don't know what is meant by Bluetooth WIP?
I am unable to pair or find my Bluetooth speakers... Maybe the bluetooth isn't functioning...
I have another soundbar I can try to pair to later this week.
I upgraded to Pac Rom today and registered to the forums.
I am new to the forum world and just wanted to say thanks.
Last weekend I was running CM 11 on Kit kat and now I am up to date with the latest Pac Rom
- cm11-20140705-unofficial-3.4 kernel-tenderloin with gapps kk-20140105
To:
Rolands cm12-20150331-UNOFFICIAL-tenderloin and gapps-lp-20150222-signed.zip
(this crashed all the time for me) I was going to roll back to kit-kat
To:
pac_tenderloin_LP-MR1.Beta-2.Unofficial_20150620-171712.zip
Slim_mini_gapps.BETA.5.1.build.0.x-20150629.zip
Is there anyone working on the camera? OR any idea when that will be working like CM 11 was.
Lastly, I don't believe I removed the cache files after flash? How do I go about doing that with TPTB?
Unless a part of the flash cleared the cache for me? but not sure..
Thanks,
:good:

No active work on the camera. Bluetooth is problematic (WIP-Work In Progress). You clear the caches in recovery before or after you flash, but before you reboot.
Hello, as I understand it, there are no vpn libraries? vpn software not working.
I have been using the 11 July 3.4 ROM on f2fs for the last week and it is the best 5.1 ROM so far. Very snappy. The only downside is the battery drain and the rare doubletap. Thanks for the great work!

Installed from Touchpad Toolbox V42.
Complete Wipe.
HP Touchpad 32GB.
Touchpad locks solid after about 3 minutes of use after boot. After forced reboot the ROM optimizes all the apps fairly quickly. Wifi settings are lost and have to be re-added. Restore starts download apps. After about 1 or 2 apps the HP Touchpad locks. The cycle repeats. Previously used build pac_tenderloin_LP-MR1.Beta-2.Unofficial_20150620-171712 with Slim_mini_gapps.BETA.5.1.build.0.x-20150620 had worked ok.

Im using the 3.4 kernel.
Is this using the built in kernel adiutor or are you using a third party program?

My phone recognizes my internal SD as sd1 and memory card as sd0, apps are installing on memory card and back ups previously on sd1 can't be traced because the phone is automatically opening memory card as sd0
So it booting? Good to know.
About swapped SD card, I just forgotten about revert some changes in fstab (for codina), its not a big problem, I will give you another kernel just.
Does it work on i9070P?
Yes, you can choose your phone model during installation process and let's me know if NFC working, if not than manually move from /system/lib/modules/pn544.ko to /system/lib/modules/autoload. Reboot phone and test NFC again.
Thanks for the ROM
Its great to see a Lollipop 5.1.1 ROM for our device.
I did flashed it today and came across few issue related to GAPPS
Am testing right now, will share experience soon
Shutdown and reboot doesn't work.
Is this rom support f2fs? . There is an option in CWM Wipe and Format Option -> Custom Format Option -> toggle f2fs <> ext4 migration but after formating /system or /data in f2fs phone stays on boot screen.
Sensors, BLACKSCREEN
Bugs
Accelerometer and proximity sensor are not working. Restart does not work (unless you remove battery) and I have encountered 'optimizing app 1 of 1' severally. Sometimes the phone lags and displays a blackscreen for some minutes.
I want to help
Hello. Thank you very much for the ROM. I work very well. I want to help in development (I am a programmer). And I have this mobile.
I found that it has some bugs with google services, for example I can not use the app Gmail Inbox or connect to Gmail accounts to sync contacts (I consider very important this part).
I await your response. Greetings !!
The kernel is working and booting.
Please fix the bug, it would be good software!
Bug:
- auto rotating not working
- Installation of unknown sources is very slow
- proximity sensor not working
- very slowly booting
All sensors are already working
