I live in the Netherlands. I bought the Xperia from T-mobile with simlock. I used the service of htccode and it works very well. It is unlocked now for all carriers for only 20 euro;s

This is an english forum; please (also) post in english. To answer your question: you can find a pretty clean KPN rom and a slightly customised T-mobile rom. You probably have to use HardSPL before you can flash either one of them.
Please PM me if you need a little help with it, so this thread will stay clean (since it's about SIM unlocking and not flashing roms/ changing languages)

Kinda stupid. Since Orange is a part of T-Mobile, the devices you got from T-Mobile should work with Orange also. This means, it has to be simlock free.
If not, T-Mobile will do it for free.

Try using different sim to test if the sim is broken.

Yes we all know there is another site called HTCCODE which also unlocks by code.
I left the first post mentioning htccode, but removed the others.
Now stop spamming the above mentioned site, we know it already (because of the hundreds of posts in other unlocking threads)!

How to Reset the Phone lock?

Yes, you should hard reset. This has nothing to do with the simlock mentioned in this thread.

Company where I am working bought for me this phone from one operator "BITE" . After 2 months my company stopped working with "BITE". And "BITE" blocked all phones whose they give to company I am working for. Now this phones don't work with any operator in other country. But it work perfect outside my country!

Or maybe some have same the problem, and how i suppose, we can make a change. My phone will work perfectly in your country, and your in my!

Can somebody tell me if I can unlock(clear SIM-Lock or operator-lock) Xperia X1 with a firmware change? Or do I need something else? Can you give me a link to it? I saw the link above(with ROMs), I know that I can flash X1 with these ROMs using ROM Update Utility(somewhy called Kovsky) and I saw also a topic with Hard-SPL, but don't know what's its purpose.
Especially I would like to know if it's possible to unlock X1, locked by english operator called "3"? Did somebody tried it? I've heard that it's almost impossible.
I saw a link with unlock for money, but would be nice if there was a way to do it by myself.

I find using other people their work to make money off it offensive. Would you people donate every penny to either the creator of the unlocker(s) or XDA-Developers, sure - no reason to stop a good cause. But the selfishness of selling it as your own doing is simply appalling.
That, is in no way nonsense.
So, I'd love to be proven wrong and finding out that you're doing this with tools you created yourself. In that case, you shouldn't advertise it on XDA.
If it's not the above - you don't belong on XDA.
(P.S. this goes for both crusher and platinumLA.)

i m using xperia x1... now there is some problem... i cant send a msg to any body when i press the send button its showing one notification
it says:
your text msg can not be sent. be certain that your service center address is correct in settings and then try sending the msg again.
and when i m trying to check the text msg setting its showing error also.
it can not read setting from the network.
is there any kind of unlock software or some thing.?

[Q] Stolen Xperia Z

Hi,
My Xperia Z got stolen nearly a month ago!! Unfortunately, I didn't had anything installed on it that could help me track it down.. But it came with McAfee security installed as standard!! I had it registered but was not using it. On the McAfee website it shows my IMEI number.. but since my subscription has expired I cannot track it from there.. My question is, whoever stole my device obviously did a factory reset! As standard Mcafee should be up and running(atleast I hope so) do you think I should buy mcafee subscription,?? Is there a chance that I would be able to track my device back?? if anyone here know, weather the McAfee registration gets reseted if you do a factory reset?? Cause I did a few data wipe, for the brief time I had my phone.. It was always there.. and it didn't allow me to uninstall it..
Any inputs on weather buying th McAfee subscription will help me or not.. will be very usefull!! Thanks

Honestly not sure if it will help, but try it anyway.
You should've had an antitheft app installed for this very reason....

Truth be told, Sony just launched the MyXperia stuff that helps you track and trace your phone with this link https://myxperia.sonymobile.com/ unfortunately it has to be activated on the phone. McAfee might be able to help you but I wouldn't hold my breath on that matter, good luck hunting down your phone!

Well, I know that there is very little if any chance of me finding my phone back.. But thank you for the input.. I'll try buying the Mcafee subscription, and see if it can locate my phone (fingers crossed).. The my xperia was not available to everyone when my phone got lost.. so no luck with that. till sony does not introduce something to keep track of their devices with IMEI, it thinks it pretty impossible!!

If you are in india. Report to police with u imei and police can track it and find it many of my friends who lost got back this way

It´s bad luck.

I don't know how your local police work if I am totally honest but over here in the UK the police can track phones that are stolen, if there is enough evidence it was stolen and such. Speak to the fuzz, see what they say, the worst they can do is nothing, but nothing for free is better than paying for it.

I got the unlock code from the provider and they gave me the wrong code and told me to put it in and i kept on telling them that its not the right code and told me to keep on trying so in theory rogers have screwed me over thats why i switched to a different carrier i had enough
As of right now im trying to unlock the phone but right now there are no tries left so i can get rid of any connection from rogers if you know what i mean but its a tough situation im in if anyone knows what i can do or if theres anything please please let me know

I suggest that if they gave you the wrong code and then they continued to tell you to use it when you said it was the wrong code you are well within your rights to ask them to fix the problem.

I am not sure there is anything you can do from this end. Personally I would take it further with them and put in an official complaint. Keep pushing them about it and take it to their complaint department etc....don't take no for an answer. Explain you had witnesses and they are willing to give statements etc.
Unfortunately there is very little work on network unlocking on xda as in various countries it is illegal (AFAIK) to do it without your carriers permission.
I wish you luck and hope you can push Rogers into a corner and convince them they gave you the wrong code.

Many users reported flickering-minilag problem with 4.3 version on SP.. 4.1.2 version works great without flicekring..

I wrote to sony support in Croatia , I even sent phone to repair center in Bosnia and they dident fix it. I complained to Sony and they sent me that message.

Please provide a screenshot of the mail, I cannot believe this! It would stop me from selling my Xperia SP if they fix this via software update. What did you write in the initial mail?
