Hi All,
Sorry for posting here, but I cannot post on the i9001 dev forum...
I'm wondering if there's a HDR mode for the camera in CM10.1. I have flashed it into my i9001 but there's no HDR option...
I am missing something here?
Thx for the help!
Should be there.

Should be there.
I have official CM 10.1.0 (Stable) flashed on my I9000, and the HDR mode is there.
Are you looking in the right place? (See attached image for guidance)
If not, try a release candidate, or even a nightly build.
I have a nightly build, but still don't see it. I have all other icons, except for the HDR one. But I have an additional one with a clock on it, so I can do a timed shot...

Hi!
I have HDR-Mode, too on my i9000-Device ...
Have you tested a stable-version instead of the nightly oder an never nightly ???

Camera should be the same. Why it isn't I don't know.
i9000 and i9001 have the same camera. The only differences between these two are bandwidth on mobile cellular, CPU speed and storage capacity. Pretty much everything else is the same.
Besides, the HDR mode is in the software. Not hardware.
I guess the one who compiled up the CM on i9001 simply excluded the HDR mode for unknown reasons. (Forgot it or simply don't know it's there to be included.)

The camera hardware is not the same with i9000 for i9001 and actually i9001 is completely different from i9000 in term of the hardware and many things else...
Why i9001 doesn't have HDR? It just because of the hardware and driver different so end up we are using an ugly camera hardware abstraction layer to drive the camera in ICS, JB 4.1.2, JB 4.2.2 using the GingerBread drivers and this also causes some mode and effect doesn't work on i9001...
Sorry man you are right ...:good:

Please just read the first few topics here.
and you will get your answers.
And, no, there is no application to make it work properly.
There are some new roms today that are based on official and unofficial CM10 that the camera works almost good. Just lags a bit on video recording and the quality is not great. Or u can try a test rom based on the Korean ICS of KU5900.
Check the development section and you will find it.
I hope i've helped you
Hy all.
I've been watching this board for quite a long time but in the end I decide to ask for advice from someone that knows.
I'm searching for ideal rom that has working device parts like tv-out. I kinda dount I'll find any 4.3 tom with this feature if not pease suggest me some other latest build. I tried sevral latest rom on CM base (CM 10.1, 10.2 Slim beam 4.2.2 4.3, C-rom v4) but with no luck, thus many of those are very buggy in basic operatios. Currently using updated Helly Bean 4.3.
Thanks
CM currently doesn't have DeviceParts working. And because a lot of 4.3 roms draw from CM sources, none of them will have that feature fully working.
Odd though, CM10.1 and Slim 4.2.2 should have it working

I'm lost...
But when i`m using CM 10.1.2 stable the deviceparts worked as well ... what was your prob???

When I connect phone with tv with cable, I just can't enable tv.out setting under menu, it stays gray. Cable is fine, I've been using it with my very old rom (2.2) before and decide to refresh my rom, that is why I asked in the first place.
Am I missing something or?
Okay i think you should report it here ...

Just keep posting and helping others in the Q and A section, you'll get to your ten posts in no time don't spam though, that doesn't go down well...
But once you do have ten posts, as freakymod said report this in the dev thread and see if someone knows what's going on.

The (Front) Camera + Bluetooth problems are both well known post Android 4.1.2. (i.e. CM10.1 or CM10.2)
If you wish to continue using those Features you'll have to stick with Android 4.1.2. ROMs (CM10).
As you have already noted akop-sgt7 works well with our GT-P1000s, as does those from Paranoid Android, and Sapir.
I suppose the next question is will we ever get to see a working CM10.1/.2 mod for our GT-P1000s now that Android 4.4.x (CM11?), is now out?
Here's hoping that those Builds won't be plagued by those same Bugs!
just wondering
if you camera screen flashes/jumps when lighting/focus changes?
i am currently using 10.1 4.2.2, and it dose that on both back and front cam...
very annoying especially when filming

I could say no it doesn't, then again I could also say that I don't use CM10.1/(.2) Android 4.2.2 / 4.3.1 either because I prefer a 100% WORKING Environment over having the latest shiny shiny, either.... It seems to me like you've been 'round long enough to known that much of it to by now. If you like the (Front) Camera & Bluetooth that much, and who doesn't? Then you had best stick with CM10 based ROMs for now...

[ROM]SGT7 CM10.2 UNOFFICIAL/EXP.[JB 4.3/4.3.1][P1000/N/L][Kernel 3.0.XX][2013-10-28]

Yes I would say that any number of CM10 based ROMs (HumberOS, Paranoid Android, Sapir to name a few), all work very well in my experience,

Same question applies... Does the (Front) Camera, and Bluetooth work?! If not why waste our time with it?
@Icarus1314; Very simple rule CM10 WORKS... CM10.1, and CM10.2 + CM11 currently do NOT work! Its still early days as far as CM11 goes, and People are working on it for the P1000, but it may still be some time before we actually see anything at all, if ever. As far as the (Front) Camera & Bluetooth is concerned.
After all this was a Bug that plagued this Device for nearly a Year now, and it still hasn't been fixed.
P.s. If your looking for "compatible" ROMs for your Device. I'd suggest you go to the Play Store (Formally the App Market), and download, and install the Goomanager app. Then search for compatible ROMs, and pick the last CM10 ROM http://goo.im/devs/cm/p1/nightly/cm-10-20130203-NIGHTLY-p1
You can also just download it to your Computer by going to http://goo.im and "Browse roms by device" (search) GT-P1000, or P1.
Sadly goo.im seems to be a bit wonky after their most recent update. So you might either have to fight though it, or find a different source.
Sadly Cyanogenmod do not seem to be hosting this File anymore though.

Cam still Rom issue
It seems that porting camera features take too long now... fc on video on cm11... still front cam issue
I am just wanting to know which ROM doesn't have camera issues, so far I have had problems with CyanogenMod and Carbon. Omni didn't have issues, but I had massive power drain with it.
Am I going to be stuck with a Samsung\Stock based ROM?

Yes seems to be a fix for the i9300 but nothing for the i9305 which is unfortunate. I haven't found a real stable solution at the moment.
Omni was as close at it came, but had Data issues (now resolved) and bad battery drain.

Hey Frac,
sounds like You're using StockRom?
I think that Should work, if You do not have a hardware problem.
Or maybe You use a broken/wrong kernel?
My Jena worked very well with CM10.2 (and CM11). So did the camera with both, foto and video.
