I just wanna ask u why u wanna hide the logo?it looks really nice and we can know that stamina mode is up and running by looking at it..I don't know how we could hide it though..anyways,just leave it on..it looks really cool too..cheers

Why question his motives guys? Maybe he just doesn't want the whole notification bar to be full of icons.
If you have wifi, vibrate/silent mode, stamina mode and power saving mode on, then two thirds of the bar are full of icons. Even more was taken up when I had a rom that showed the NFC icon. It just looks cluttered

Whichever feels best to u..I mostly like having the icons on the statusbar as it is meant to show the icons..I just don't see the point of hiding the icons..but it's up to u to decide cuz everyone has their own likes and dislikes

Then why post just to question him and tell him to leave it alone? Not wishing to cause an argument. Just curious.
Edit: To try and answer the original question - I also cannot find anything in build.prop and it seems that you are unable to disable notifications for the eco mode controller. It looks like it can't be disabled easily.

Not at all,I ain't trying to stir up any arguments..I'm just trying to tell him that such thing isn't possible and live happily with what he's got.

woa woa, chill, chill everyone. hm.. i really appreciated everyone's opinion, thanks any way.:laugh::good:

If you're rooted, try this :
Install Notifications Off
Disable notifications by unchecking Eco Mode Controller
Reboot
Check if you can see the icon when you enable stamina mode.
If this doesn't work, I'm not sure there's an easy way to do this.

Have tried, and dont works, looks it somting difficult. Thanks anyway.

I can scroll pages by hovering in chrome, but I don't think pop-ups like the Note 2 are possible.

NO NO NO!!
Dont use that! Thats for gingerbread it will mess up your phone! What we are talking about is using the phone without touching the screen. This is included in the xperia sp already, no need for any mod i will give you instructions how to do that:
-make sure glovemod is enabled
-go to the lockscreen and hover over the screen a little bit, not to close and not to far away from it
-if you see the screen recognizing any touch keep that distance and try to unlock your phone without touching it
-enjoy using your screen without touching it
I come from the sola thats why i know that, the sola was the first device to feature glovemode, it came with the ics update.

Ah, that explains why glove mode didn't work after unlocking without gloves. That confused me a bit.
And yeah, Chrome doesn't recognize it as a hover. I'll try some other browsers...

I tested this on a couple of browsers (Boat, Chrome, Dolphin, Firefox, Next, Opera) and as far as I see the glove mode "hover" is simply interpreted as a single touch (opening the link) or long press (selecting text, giving options for opening in new tab, etc.).
The only browser that gave me a mouseover text (well, part of it anyway) on an image was Firefox.

Wait a minute. You tested this after following my instructions above right? You didnt get me. The instructions where for how you can use your phone without touching the screen, everywhere in every app with floating touch interpreted as single touch.
But when it comes to the browser hovering dont do that. Test the browsers with unlocking your screen normal, then hovering should be interpreted as mouseover on browsers that support it.
I guess i am gonna write a F.A.Q about Floating touch.

Huh, okay. I misunderstood then. Still, after unlocking the screen normally it didn't work either.
Anyway, I've just had a look at the Sony support forums and the question if the SP has Floating Touch has been answered that it doesn't. It has glove mode instead.
So it's not the browsers' fault after all.

[Q] Dark theme saves battery?

So I ' am an owner of Sony Xperia Z and there are some threads about this theme but nothink straight said.I would be grateful when someone
could tell me if I use pure blackscreen wallpaper or just the darker theme is it going to affect the battery? In a positive way. Looking foward
for šime helpful answers thanks, also if anyone knows good battery saver app would be great when you could share link or name. Thanks.
Dark themes are useful for amoled display that's what i know.
Sent from my C6603 using xda premium
A dark colored theme or a pure black wallpaper won't save battery. In an LCD screen, the backlight consumes the most power (to my knowledge).so whether its black white blue red it should be the same. In an amoled display the battery gain is sizeable.
What will save battery life is screen brightness..so try keeping it lower as that makes a huge difference..
I use battery guru by Qualcomm(Xperia Z's chipset manufacturer), I don't have figures to quote but it increased my battery life by a lot since I have been using it..and it's icon can be hidden and it's very simple to use..and doesn't annoy with spam.

Just switch WiFi off, it's ridiculous if the app is asking for that :/
It's has the manage wifi feature which automagically switches from 3g to wifi say when you reach home.
But you can always manually turn wifi off.
Infact I turned that feature off.
Here's screenshots of my settings.

Why would you even do something drastic like that? :what:
Sent from my C6603 using xda app-developers app
I could disable it on my x10 mini pro by night for example. But it was cm feature. Possibly linked to kernel also (cm was disabling module controlling led. If I remember well).
It is useful for example by night. When the led try to make you remember "hello, I am charged, I will put this green light in your face for you to know it"
Xperia z led power is still correct, x10 was my morning sun.

Simple... I don't like it
I can't stand the stupid thing being lit at night like 'hey your fully charged, now I'm going to dazzle you till you wake up'. I don't like the fact it doesn't show colours properly since the last update and more than anything else, it looks ugly as hell when it's lit. I initially liked it S my BlackBerry had one, but the BB had the far superior light control and brightness, the colour was more defined too.

Settings, Display, Brightness
UN tick Adapt to lighting conditions.
Is that what you wanted?
There was another setting before the 257 update that let you uncheck an option that said something like 'automatic change screen condition to save battery"
I'll just have to reflash the old version to do a screen shot for you guys.

I've posted similar question earlier, but no answer so far. It was called "Optimised backlight" and it was positioned right below "Pulse notification light". It is basically DLS (Dynamic Luminance Scaling) and it is the most annoying power-saving feature in the known universe and I absolutely hate it. It should be a way to disable it with root explorer, but I can't find it in the folder where it was on my Xperia T.

I think I read somewhere that Sony removed it due to it bugging out with some apps.
They should remove it then, not leave us without possibility to turn this crap off.

Yeah. I would think if it doesn't work when on, then they should have disable it and left it off by default.
All other Android phone worked without trying to change this crap.
I love this phone but it's annoying me a lot when reading text that has dark background and graphics.

[Q] Intelligent backlight and Glove mode on Xperia Z1?

Has anyone succeeded to get them to work on Xperia Z1? From the thread about intelligent call handling, i installed all 4 apks, including intelligentbacklight, i implemented the smartbacklight in settings menu, but its not working. I noticed that when i change the setting from on to off, the logcat shows warning: datachanged but no participant pkg='com.android.providers.settings' uid=10352. Any ideia how can it be fixed? And about the glove mode, did somebody make a port from Xperia Z2?
We had glove mod on older android version. I don't know why we don't have it now.
And can you explain intelligent backlight.
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Free mobile app
Well...intelligent backlight is the feature of Xperia Z2, which keeps the screen light on while you looking at it.....similar to the Galaxy series...the devs here successfully ported the smart call features (the gestures whenever you receive a call) but the smart backlight still doesnt work...and about Glove mode....ive had the Z1 since the first release on jelly bean, and ive never had the glove mode
I had glove mod on this I can swear with my z1.
I guess there is no much interest in intelligent backlight from devs.
But I would like to have it in future.
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Free mobile app
At least can they give me a clue what this warning is about...because the only things left to port from the Z2 are these two, plus the double tap 2 wake, but obviously the last wants a different kernel...lol

To get the glove mode setting just decompile framework-res apk and then modify one of the bools for the glove mode. It's there. If you don't know how then just go into my threads and find multiuser mod. I put 2 easter eggs into it with one being glove mod support. Unfortunately it's not working and it never was. The other easter egg works great though, it's just not that easy to find or realise.
