This is not a Nexus 4 specific issue, but rather a general CM10.1 issue.
The stock CM10.1 phone app normally does a good job of blacklisting numbers - but when you have the phone connected to a Bluetooth handsfree, and the blacklisted number attempts to call you, then the Bluetooth handsfree will start ringing and it's impossible to stop the ringing unless the caller gives up or you disconnect the Bluetooth.
The handsfree device in question is the Ford Sync system built into my car. Earlier today, I blacklisted the number 6474964196 (for others who live in Toronto, blacklist it too!) after realizing it was a scam to impersonate the bank TD. Later, when I was driving out of the office with the phone connected via Bluetooth, my car started ringing and displayed that very number on my GPS screen as an incoming call. I kept rejecting the call using my steering wheel button, but the caller didn't relent.
The whole time, my phone screen itself did not show any signs on an incoming call. Normally when I drive I keep my phone in the cupholder, and if it gets an incoming call from a non-blacklisted number, the screen turns on and shows me the number along with a big red button to reject the call. But with the incoming call being from a blacklisted number, the screen remained off.
After failing repeatedly to silence that call, I had to wait till I got to a red light so I could manually turn off the Bluetooth. At the same time, I noticed the phone app showed nothing from the blacklisted number in my missed-calls log.
I'll report this on Jira later. In the meantime, does anyone know of an alternative call blacklist app that doesn't allow a Bluetooth handsfree to ring when a blacklisted number calls me?
I previously used root call blocker pro to block calls. I don't use Bluetooth so I can't say if it'll help you out.
You can also add the number to your contacts, then go into the contracts app and have all calls go to voicemail. CM's method is better because it doesn't let them go to voicemail.
Yes, there is a bug in there. I now use root call blocker.

I use true caller to block calls. It even has option to block numbers marked as spam by other users

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll use root call blocker and see.
I just create a contact names no answer and add the number there, with the option to send calls to voicemail. Now my phone won't ring when they call, and when I wipe and flash a new ROM, the blacklist numbers all carry over with my Google contacts. I have about 15 blacklisted numbers there.

Hence the meaning of a call log...it tells you exactly who you called and when. I don't think there is a fix for this but you can always change the options in the menu to show you what you want....for example. Missed Calls, Outgoing Calls, ect....
I was quite annoyed with this in the beginning. On the original ATT dialer, if you press the d-pad down instead of going to call logs it will show you the last several calls before going to your contacts list. This is what I usually used when I was using this dialer. This in turn is compacting your call log to the calls the you dialed or just received.
Hope this helps
I have a little problem. Diamond don't notify when an incoming call has been diverted from another phone number.
So I can't know if the incoming call is for my cell number or for the number that has been diverted to my phone.
I often divert the office phone to my private cell phone and it would be nice to know if the incoming call is private or business...
Normal phones like nokia and sony ericsson have this function...usually they show a little arrow near the phone number of the incoming call.
Does the Diamond finally have it too???
Thank you for the answer....
unfortunately, all Windows Mobile phones can not do this, it also wont alert you when you call someone and you are on call waiting.
Sorry this is really basic.
I was informed by my carrier that calls made to my voice mail will be indicated on my phone and that the caller ID and time of call will be visible in the missed call log.
Well I did a test and yes, there is an indicator that a voice mail is waiting, but where can I find the Caller ID/tel. number?
TIA
There is an app that does that if that is any good to you.
Is it not under the Call Log in the Phone?

Yeah that's where you would think it would be.
The only thing that's showing up there are calls I have made, not any incoming voice messages/missed calls.
Is there are other place to look?
I've also looked at messaging, but that looks like it's just for text/sms messages.
The only thing that comes in is a notification on the home page saying "new voicemail dial +1-647-xxx-xxxx"
There is nothing about the caller ID.
That's a bummer.

Sure, what's the app?
You would think a brand spanking new phone like this would have this feature?
I mean I'm subscribing to caller ID.
I think it is an Android thing as my last one didn't have it either.
It is called Missed call.
I haven't used them yet but there are also apps that act as an on phone message machine so you do not have to call your voicemail box and if your like me, get charged for it.

Very odd. My Call Log shows calls I've made, calls I've received and missed calls that got bounced to voicemail (Green left arrow for received, orange right arrow for dialled and red angled arrow for missed calls)

I'm slowly figuring out this puzzle.
I was inquiring about two specific situations (which I hadn't made clear).
The first is when I have my phone turned off (flight mode) and I receive a call.
Is it possible with any software to find out these missed calls (caller ID/time)?
The second is when a call is made (again with phone turned off) and a voice message is left in my box.
In this situation my I9000 just notifies me that there is a voice mail. It doesn't tell me who called or the time (in the call log or anywhere else).
If I have my phone turned on, then yes, if I don't answer it (missed call) it will show up in the call log (caller ID and time).

I'm curious about these apps. It would be nice to avoid charges for accessing my voicemail box.
How can these apps possibly help though? Surely they must answer the phone call before they can record it? Once they answer the call, you're zapped with the charge, just as if you listened to a recorded voicemail.
Why would you be charged for someone else phoning you? The phone answers and records the message to the SD. There is also a version I believe that cancels the incoming call and then sends a text to the caller with your own custom message. Of course with this you would be charged for the text.

Because I live up in the frozen white north (Canada) where phone companies are making a killing charging you for both out and in calls.
Has anyone tried sipgate.com for free voip service? Is it any good?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
It works perfectly for me for incoming calls. I don't use it for outgoing since that costs per-minute. But now when I am at home, my Google Voice number rings through to my Nexus S via my Sipgate number and I use none of my mobile minutes.
How do you have it set up? did you enter a phone number for it to ring to are or the sip settings on the phone are enough?
You set the ring-to device in the sipgate.com settings.

Using ring to device would still use your minutes unless you have free incoming I think
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Nope - incoming goes right over the voip link, not forwarded to your normal like with google voice. So no minutes are used. You could even pull the SIM and this would work as long as you have wifi.

Hmm when I had ring to device set up and Google voice did the confirmation call it charged me a minute from the free 60

I think it works great. You can have completely free calls anywhere in the USA by getting an sipgate number, set google voice to forward calls to sipgate. Setup a pbxes.org account which forwards incoming calls to sipsorcery and a sipsorcery account that will automate the making the phone connection for google voice to connect the call for you any seamlessly route your call back to you sipgate number.
I'll admit it's a pain in the butt to setup, but it will allow you to make and receive calls for free over data plan or wifi.
ipkall is another site you can use to get a free DID phone number (although it must be used with something like pbxes.org)
the only part i'm not sure of, is whether sipsorcery is still excepting new accounts.
yeah, i just checked. they periodically are accepting new accounts and post them here:
http://sipsorcery.wordpress.com/new-accounts/
Anyway, I don't really have the time to go over a step by step guide but there are many out there if people are interested.
I use Sipgate for incoming calls and sipdroid for outgoing. You just link it to your google voice account and free outgoing calls on Wifi too.
I just got this feature working.... wrote up a DETAILED "how to" on how place AND receive calls 100% FREE without having to use Sipdroid, but since I'm new here I can't post it yet. Rrrrrr...

So, how do I get the phone to make I call when I activate OK Google and say, Call "Jim" etc.
Presently, as I am not using the SIM and disabled the cellular network it will tell me I need to turn off airplane mode. I though I had it figured out when I set it to forward calls to my phone, however I think that is intended for when both have a SIM. It seems like a massive oversight if this is not possible, given the fact that the Style does not have the HR monitor and Fit. The two reasons, other than the spinning selector, I went with this model over the style.
I have cellular turned off, and if I say "ring Fred", it immediately calls Fred through my tethered smartphone.
If there are multiple phone numbers attached to a contact, it then does not dial straightaway, but asks which number to dial first.
Whether I use the phrase "ring" or "call" it does not matter, works with both phrases.
I know this is an old thread but did you figure out how to initiate a phone call on the tethered phone without the sound coming through the watch?...I want to say"ok Google call Bill" and have my phone call Bill and not hear it through my watch. If I disable call audio on my phone then the watch says check blutooth connection...this seems rediculous that Mt Sony SW3 can easily intiate my phone to call any contact through ok Google but my lg watch sport wants to blare my conversation from my wrist.
Is the LG call app installed from the PS
