Camera on CM7
Hi RomWiz,
if you could try to port the original camera on CM7, it would be awesome. In my opinion the camera is the only thing thar is avoiding CM7 to become stable.
[]'s
Miui please. If you can port miui 2 you will have lots of users i think. Because you can see upper 2000 users wants stable miui. Doesnt matter 2 or 4

That CM9 for the 2x looks awesome though =)
I think that i will start working on it on friday.
So i am taking wishes untill thursday
think about miui
I would advise to follow your tought once we have ICS fully working it's not so hard to port miui
Best of luck!
Cheers!
it is true. but you know, we have stable cm7 but there is no stable miui.
i know stable cm7 is not stable enough.
but miui is more unstable than cm7.
i like miui man.
i used to have huawei x5 and i always use miui.
i miss it.
stock rom sucks.
miui have a lot of settings and customzable.
Pure ics but without released drivers I know it won't be a stable one.... perhaps something like mooke cm7 but without the 3g and phone signal drops

As far as stability and battery life is concerned, you can always go with the stock firmware. Here is the link to all stock firmwares,
All Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 Stock Firmwares (2.3.X) Ever Released
But if you are only interested in custom roms, then I suggest you go for CM 7 (2.3.7) based rom as it offers much more speed and stability than any other CM versions. You can decide for yourself which is the best among them. Here is the link to all custom roms for Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 thanks to @brijeshep,
Know your Device:Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 ~Root~Odin~CWM~ROM LIST
Hope I Helped
I'm surprise with your incredible response, may many thanks.

On the other hand I suggest you to use a custom STOCK rom. They're the most stable, battery friendly, they have a good performance and are compatible with more games
If your friend use your smartphone such as a normal user, flash a custom STOCK rom and forget to face troubles
The problem is that with the time, all the stock ROM gets lag,and that's a bit annoying.

Have been using cm13 by audahadi for a week now. Very stable, fast and reliable.
1. Data working fine. The only glitch is after using WiFi but there is a solution in the cm13 thread. Check it up.
2. Haven't encountered any sod so far and as I said rock stable.
Try it out.
Cm 13 audahadi or CAF 6.0

What you want are Mokee nightlies (06th January onwards). Data working, Xposed working, No slow-charge bug, No SOD, No problems at all. Seriously, you cannot go wrong.
6.1.11 official alpha rom but better other mm roms
https://youtu.be/RhBrR29R81g
Is there any MM rom with working Sweep to wake (S2w) functionality kernel?
I have tried all the MM ROMs available for Mi3 except Ivan's and MIUI. For me XPerience ROM is the most stable and buttery smooth.
Cheers
Ivan's AOSP 6.1.1 is the most stable, pure android, and fully functional ROM with no bugs at all.
I think it's complete.
Now waiting for Android N.

It'd be great if you could mention the best procedure to flash the ROM so that I don't get the device bricked.
Thanks!
