Hello there
I have a HTC One 32GB international and unlocked. I am in the Middle East so the Model ID was PN0711000 and CID HTC__J15. We always receive updates the latest so I decided to make it a UK phone, with MID PN0710000 and CID HTC__001.
I only received the 1.29.401 update last night, however I did not get the 4.2.2 update yet.
I am aware that there are several CIDs in Europe that received it, including the Russian one HTC__A07, so I was wondering what the MIDs of those are? Are they the same as the international and unlocked (WWE) one which is PN0710000 and if so, would changing the CID to HTC__A07 allow me to update and I wouldn't get the "Your system is modified" error?
Thanks!
Never mind this post. I already updated to 4.2.2 by changing my CID to HTC__A07, so basically the Model ID of the European WWE (HTC__001) device is the same as the Russian one (HTC__A07). I had no idea if A07 was international or branded or whatever but turns out it is international and unlocked as well. 4.2.2 is a huge improvement over 4.1.2, by the way, but I already knew that since I had custom ROMs ever since I got the phone. If you're in Europe and really want it but haven't received the OTA yet, you can just change the CID if your device is S-OFF by issuing this command "fastboot oem writecid HTC__A07" and then after performing the update return to your original CID using the very same command.
I am HTC_J15 as well... And the updates for middle east comes after all other regions have got them....

Lol wow! That was fast. I guess things are different with the HTC One. When I had the HTC One X I never actually got JellyBean before I sold it even though it was already available in every other region.

I changed by device CID from T-MOB101 to HTC__001 .. I have relocked the bootloader to get the update .. but as you mentioned, no 4.2.2 .. can I change the CID to HTC__A07 with relocked bootloader (still S-off)..?
EDIT :: Nevermind .. issue solved ..
I'm from Pakistan with MID PNO711000 and CID htc_332, can anybody tell me which region this is and when i might get the update for it?

Hey everyone,
I am new to the HTC world, coming from Samsung, and have some questions. I can't seem to find the answer so I'm hoping someone here can help out.
I am currently S OFF and Bootloader unlocked. I am interested in changing my MID and CID so I can receive OTA updates faster. AT&T is way too slow.
From what I've read I need to change my MID and CID to flash a developer edition or international edition RUU.
My question comes in two parts:
1. Which CID is most fast at giving updates and
2. What is the cooresponding MID?
On a side note, if anyone knows, how do I find out which RUU to flash, generally from what I've read, the filename isn't very descriptive as to which CID it's for.
Thanks,
RPelham

Well I am not sure flashing the intl version will give you all the things you need to run on AT&Ts network but for the Dev Edition the CID is BS_US001 and the MID is PN0712000.

UK One owner here with 4.1.2 on HTC__001
Can I get 4.2.2 without rooting yet? No OTA's on stock ROM (Three network sim only)
I'm getting impatient.

Since HTC__001 is the unbranded CID, it should receive the update reasonably quickly.

Nothing as of yet. Still got 1.29.401.12
When it comes you'll be among the first to get it.
I have no idea what's taking HTC so long.

I hope they don't take this long with future updates and/or they're already working on them.
It takes longer for HTC to update because they have a smaller team working on the update and want a less buggy release.

Hi..
Any one tried 4g on htc one 801e after flashing a UL firmware??
I just wondering if both devices have the same hardware so technically that is possible!
I found the option for lte on my device after flahing the european UL ruu, but i coudn't test it as our country doesn't provide lte..
The main reason why i need to know is that i'm going to change the mid of my device as well the cid permenantly to the europian model, if the ruu is 100% compatible and get the OTAs.
Bought my device in libya and cid is HTC__038 MID PN0711000
The hardware isn't completely identical, the radio hardware is different in a lot of these devices
Someone has tried and it didn't work I believe
They bought a model off eBay and tried to use it in the states

HIT THANKS IF THIS WAS HELPFUL
Hello
Recently I returned my phone to stock with this RUU http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu-zip...1-27_10-31-1131-05_release_310878_signed-zip/.
After that I installed all possible updates for the phone.
Now when I look at the Software information I get:
Android version 4.3
HTC Sense version 5.5
Software number 3.62.401.1
HTC SDK API level 5.65
... and when I check for updates phone says that there are no updates available for my phone.
Why? Where is Android 4.4.2 for me?

you should try with HTC__001 and see if you get a notification.
Anyone with CID HTC__032 received update for android 4.4.2 (Kitkat)?
Is it really only solution to change CID?

If you have s-off, replacing your cid take 3 sec.
You can also wait for the ota to be released to your cid. Refer to the update sticky thread in general forum.

Can someone direct me to the link for the correct RUU / nandroid for converting my US Unlocked One to Indian One (801e - Single sim)? I am currently running CID BS_US001, which I plan to convert to HTC_038 (I believe this is the correct CID for Indian handsets), followed by installing the stock Indian firmware. However, I am unable to find the relevant Indian stock firmware. Please help me.

So you have m7_ul I have the same device, my cid is htc__001and I am using it in india no problems at all. I forgot to ask why you wanna convert your m7's cid to indian cid? As far as I know the indian version has model no. M7_u, no lte so Ruu will create problem.

I want to give my phone for repair - camera replacement. I read in another thread that US model can't be repaired in India as some calibration software does not run on it. So I want to convert the device to Indian (software and cid wise) and then attempt to get it serviced - maybe it works out!

No it won't be working as you can't change the model number of this phone or any other phone. Htc knows that htc m7_ul comes from europe so you will be busted In india htc ships only m7_u model.

But from what I understand, camera can be replaced but the calibration fails to run - I believe it runs similar to RUU, checking CID (and firmware version too maybe); so if I give them an Indianized phone, the software might run on my phone (and yes, I pay for repair).
Also, is that green tint possible to remove/correct through auto correct or something similar in photoshop / computer? I saw a sample of that green tinted photos on XDA - someone was able to actually correct it on GPE Rom. If yes the photographs can be corrected on the computer, I might just get the camera replaced at 5k and live with the green tint (in case calibration software fails to run on my indianized phone). Your thoughts?
