Please help regarding my new sony xperia V battery - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

I have just got my new Xperia V
How could i know that the battery is fully charged??
I have left my mobile at the charger more over than 8 hours...it reached 100% and the led color is green...
But there is still electricity sign over the battery...
Even when i charge it when its turned off the battery sign is all green...but also there is an electricity sign over it
I have used on my neo v that the mobile is fully charged when the electricity sign gone away.....is that normal on xperia v or there is something wrong?...please help specially i don't feel good with the battery life....about 5 hours display on

the Forum doesn't have a single user with Xperia V to tell me what is the right answer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Xperia V only 4 hours to get fully charged.

Mine get fully charge under 2 hour..should be Ok..but v battery isnt as lasting as other phone..since the battery capacity is just too small for a LTE powered phone..

Best way to ensure your phone is fully charge is to make it die. Then, make sure it's unable to turn on. Charge it without turning it on for 2-3 hours.

[Q] using phone while charging battery

hey folks noob here sorry to say, first off glad i stumbled across this very informative site. will be seeing/ learning more here thats for sure.
i dont know if this a common problem or rooted to my own phone but, when on charge if you use the phone whilst charging the phone, it will not charge (id imagine charging the same level as whats being sucked from the battery) but i was always of the understanding when phones are on charge they don't really use the battery, surley this is a bug? The phone itself is amazing coming from an iphone 4. cant really say a bad word against it otherwise, loving xperia and my first android otherwise.
on a side note is 0.1m/ps the going rate for 3g or H as stated on this phone? im pretty sure i got 1meg with my iphone.
cheers for any input lads.
Anyone of you 39 thats viewed not charged your phone yet?
Yes that's normal to loose battery percentage using the phone while charging especially if you charge it by usb port.
How much your charger output in mA?
Mine is 1500mA

hey mate thanks for the reply, no thats with wall socket charging not via the usb port on comp etc. ill see if i can fine out the charger output. :good:
the Sony charger just can't provide enough power to hold up the thirsty quad core CPU when it fully loaded like playing games. My experience yesterday when it was low on battery ~5% and plugged in with the bundled charger, the battery level kept dropping while I was playing candy crush and eventually it shut off itself. I tried another charger from Note 2 and it holds up better and the output current is 2A for that charger.
Use a tablet charger ora note charger as said

If you use bigger charger and play games than the phone will heat up and will explode.

Paranoia?
Not too sure what games might cause that, but I charge using the Nexus 7 2A charger AND do compute intensive tasks (games, benchmarks, etc) at the same time - got a wee bit warm but if it blows up i'll definitely be the first to know.

Battery charging

How much time i need to charge the xperia z for the first time ?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
So far, I charged mine or about 45 mins before turning it on using the wall charger, then let that drain to nothing, then did a USB charge which took a while (around 5 hours before the fully charged light came on) and now the battery seems pretty good and is getting better. Apparently it has a big impact on how you charge it, fast vs slow, for the first few times, so do some reading around if you havent already : )

No.
They broke my signature...
No, it wont cause any damage. Also, leaving it connected to the charger overnight will do nothing. You can't overcharge a smartphone battery, they are protected against it.

You can read this info too on the XSP's user manual pdf, sony stated about the battery there
Just make sure you use original plug
Sent from my C5302
Battery won't be damaged by much while doing this. It would just be slower charging if you're using the normal 5W wall plug, or even see the battery draining while charging through connection with computer (via USB).
im gonna say yes
hmmmmmmmm

I think it's happen on all XSP, because my friend XSP has that too. As far as I know, it happen because when you don't use it, it starting to lower the CPU frequencies so the battery use is become smaller than before
Sent from my Sony Xperia SP using xda app-developers app
And it happens if phone is hot then cools down, then indicator guess up.
As long as it is only 2-3% it is nothing to be concerned about
Sent from my C5303 using xda premium
Yes, it happens on almost all the devices. @Pulsa However I don't think the cpu voltage can be so low that it makes a negative battery use (we speak about the battery getting more charge than before). I suspect changes in temperature between use and standby to be the cause but it's only an assumption. We need some physicists here
Edit @zolaisugly didn't see your post :S

Yes,therefore I set it in quotation marks I just didn't know how to describe it otherwise
Problem you described happend on my S+ too. The problem was a faulty battery gauge. To solve this fully recharge it and let it slowly discharge by using it..
With removable batteries you just clean it and done. But with the XSP this is not possible

Battery Charge Time

Hi Guys...
I have a XSP and a tipo.I dont wanna compare both of them but my tipo charges full in less than an hour while my XSP takes almost 2-3 hours for a complete charge.
Any issue with it or is it like that only?
Hey,
That is just because the SP has a larger battery than the tipo, and the larger a battery is the longer it needs to charge
So no need to worry.
Hope I could help you
