Hi
Hopefully someone will be able to help me this. I have just got a Optimus 4x HD and i seem to have a persistent problem of suddenly phone say no sim inserted even when a sim is inserted. Then I restart and sometimes problem is fixed, at other times nothing happens, i check the information under settings and under baseband it says unknown.
The IMEI is also not shown someone please help me!!
I have changed software from ICS to JB then thought it was an issue with JB but problem is with all software :/
I think that your sim has the problem. But before you change sim try to reflash baseband and stock rom via kdz

I would like to know if the problem has been solved and how. I have the same problem with my LGp880. Can't make calls or send sms's. Often I get the message "USIM missing" or other messages like "reorganization of internal processes in progress.try again later".
I have discovered that many other users have the same problem and, weirdly enough, for all of us it started around the same period June 2014.
I have left my phone to LG's technical assitance. Technicians have changed everything possible (new Imei, software update, replacement of pcb-I hope this is the right word in english) but it's still not working. Now they have agreed to substitute it with another model. The same thing happened to many other users of lgp880 that have had the same problem.
The phone has been bought and is used in Italy. Same thing with the other users. So I was wondering if this problem with no apparent solution is located in this specific geographical area. Or if someone outside Italy has found a solution.
Thank you for your reply

Tried with Zaiben - and the same issue. Tried to flash back to ICS but it get stucked at about 18% with flashtool.
It´s either corrupt EFS partition or hardwarerelated (I´ve ordered today a new "simcardholder" that Demetris recommended.
Well, lets keep snooping around at google for a another while. Cheers

AFAIK sim card holder has absolutely nothing to do with your IMEI. Try MoKee or ZAIBEN or flash stock JB with KDZ.

Well, still no luck here. Have not recieved the "simcard-holder" yet - seems like that should be my last resort.
I´m not even able to flash trough LG flashtool - it just fails after certains seconds (about 14-50sec).
Going to flash latest CM11 nightly this evening from clean (everything wiped but CWM-recovery).
For now I´m using my old "one core" Defy.

Still no luck here.... get from Demetris on CM11 official forum that it might work to flash with "newmans flash tool" no luck this far as the tool says that a ebl-file needs to be injected.

My Galaxy S GT-i9000 has a problem with mobile network signal
when I flash a new rom, it work for 2-3 days normally.
after that, it lost the mobile network 1 time per day.
and 4-5 day later, the signal lost 3-4 times per day
When signal lost, it shows symbol "stat_sys_signal_null.png" on status bar. I can't enable/disable flight mode. If I restart the phone, the signal will be restore.
is a software problem or hardware problem
Help me, please!!!!
thank you so much!
What ROM did you flash? Did you have any problems prior to the flash? Have you tried to go back to the previous ROM to ensure it is not something else? Perhaps your radio ROM is not compatible with the kernel ROM you are using.

I have flashed:
Stock I9000XXJQ3 2.2.1
Stock I9000DXJV9 2.3.3
Stock I9000XXJVT 2.3.5
they have same problem ( lost network signal sometime )
I don't known "how to flash radio rom" (I don't understand "radio rom" term)
Could you sent me some link to some guide topics "how to flash radio rom i9000"

Ohh sorry...i was reading too fast, so i didn't understand the problem, however you can try another card from another mobile operator or you can try to search in settings the network signal...sometimes they block the signal, maybe for maintenance so you have to wait to call or receive call

Maybe its because the modem, when you flash a new ROM you usally also change the modem that controls the network connection (WIFI and 3G). Try to search in General section the post with the modems/radio and flash them through CWM (i can't advice you an specific one, it depends of the country and the place which one goes better...)
I would put the link here, but I'm a new user (however i know a lot) and I can't, sorry!
its not a wifi problem its a network signal problem.
this is a Sirius problem come-on world.

I never faced such a problem, so I'm just guessing now. Can you try to flash a new ROM with an CSC coresponding for your country and mobile operator? You did not write from witch country you are and what CSC you have.
Why CSC file? because this file contains specific configurations for each mobile operator from each country (not just APN settings).
And another lead for solutioning your problem: did this problem start happend after unloking the phone or editing nv_data.bin file? Because the nv_data.bin contains some calibration data for your phone and you cant just editig or replacing this file.
hi "weld bladi",any luck with the signal problem of GT i9000 ,did you find any solution??,i'm facing exactly the same issue,
any hint would be appreciated

As the title says, i have a problem when trying to use GPS. First time i tried to use it on a gb rom and it didn't lock to any sattelites.
I tried modifying gps.conf, both on ics and gb, with no luck. And i don't want to open up my phone since i don't want to lose my warranty.
What i wanted to know, is there any way i could try to solve this, assuming it's not hardware related?
I'm now using the arco CM9 beta build 2 with castagnaIT v6.7 kernel.
Thanks in advance.

I personally think it is hardware related. If you flash an other rom and the problem is still there, than at least it isn't a software problem.
I suggest that you flash the stock firmware and see if the problem os still there. If that is the case, contact samsung or your service provider
*note that you wont get warranty with cyanogenmod installed on your phone.

Nope, still nothing.
Just got this issue yesterday out of nowhere.
I can't make a call. Each i try to do so, it only stays at calling but the receiver is receiving my call and when they answer my call, my phone still stays in calling so without being able to do anything, i end call. Phone will then lose the network, no bars no nothing and it will reboot. It happens to any call i make, even pressing any random number, as soon as i hang up, it will lose all network and then restart.
when receiving a call, i can accept it but hear nothing. and again, after i hang up, my network will disappear and phone will reboot by itself. I really need help
My phone is i9305

No problem man but as i9300 and i9305 threads are together and misplaced in Q&A forum, that's why it's very confusing.
I bought an used samsung Galaxy S4 phone and after a while I found out that my imei has been changed I mean its not the same as the one under the battery, till then I thought its not a big deal but after a while I met some problems one of them is I cant connect to 3G network and my 2nd problem I found yesterday when I tried to update the android software I got that message"your device has been modified"
Now guys I want to know why am I having these problems? Can they be solved?

What I'm asking is what carrier are you using your device on and if the device is branded by a different carrier. Most times flashed devices won't be officially supported by another carrier flashed devices are different from unlocked devices as some flashing requires a "donor phone" for an IMEI and this can be problematic for data etc.

Post this thread under Galaxy S4 Forum and I promise you vill get help... It´s not that hard
There you can get help to flash back the stock firmware for your phone and to get everything to work again. Thankfully the Samsung phones are quite easy to restore.
Probably you will get help to get the right IMEI too... unless there´s something else behind the fact that it differs from the label. Perhaps a new motherboard on the phone after a repair?
Still... post it in the right forum and I promise you will get help
i'm really confused

Lets suppose they changer the motherboard ....So why do i still get an imei that starts with 4457.......... IN the status
and the one under the battery starts with 35...........
Strange... I agree...
However... if you restore to Stock firmware via ODIN the you will probably be ok.
Again... take a look at the S4 Forum, you will se that you are not the only one with this problem. So your motherboard is probably the original one, the flashed firmware is probably at fault.
When you flash firmware for ANY phone, stock or modified, it´s very important to get the right firmware for the right model, or a fimware that is tested for your phone. If you want totally stock it´s very important that you get the carrierversion of the firmware (for example Verizon or At & T)
Stock firmwares can be found at Sammobile.com. There you can also find the tool you use to flash it... it´s called ODIN. Very easy to use if you make sure you follow the instructions and have the correct drivers installed on the PC
My P8 Lite doesn't show any WiFi Networks anymore and also Bluetooth can't find anything.
I tried nearly every WiFi Fixer app from the google play store and also every available firmware.
