Hello everyone. I have a problem with the audio when recording video. When playing back a video the audio is always distorted, as if the video was shot outside in high winds. I am running ARHD 12.0 with firmware 2.24.401.1.
Using the Voice Recorder app, the audio is recorded just fine.
Check this clip I just recorder to hear the audio:

This was shot indoors apparently. Even when I speak, there is no voice recorded. Only this distortion.

So I've been playing around with the video camera and it doesn't record sound. I have record with audio turned on in the camera options =/
Any ideas?
Okay the sound plays on the phone...but not on my PC wierd...that means I'm missing a codec somewhere =/
Im also having the same problem....im using a vlc player on my pc and getting no sound
Hi. This is probably because bluetooth headset was paired. When there's a bluetooth headset paired to the HTC One, during video recording, no sound is recorded.
Hi There,
I was using yesterday evening the built-in audio recorder#( voice recorder) app and I just now realized that it records in Mono......
Is there any chance to change it to stereo, to use all the mics what we have in M8? )(just like in case of a video?
I recently updated my phone (GT-I9305N) to the latest stock 4.4.4 firmware. Everything works fine, but the default video recorder seems to record audio in stereo without duplicating the mono audio input to both channels properly. This means that most of the recorded audio is coming, in my case, from the right channel and the left audio channel is very quiet. Only the video recorder seems to have this issue. Am I doing something wrong, is there a fix for this or what's going on?
Hi guys,
I was wondering if someone with a HTC One M7 with HDR mic could record loud audio with the voice recording app, or an app like "Smart Voice Recorder" which allows you to select the sample rate at which to record (it has an option for 44.1Khz CD quality on it), and see if the recording is distorted at all?
I'm asking because Nokia's phones which have a HAAC mic utilise the HDR mic when recording video, but when recording audio only, loud sounds are distorted which means it doesn't use the high quality HDR/HAAC mic, and apparently no one'd written a windows phone app that uses the HDR/HAAC mic when I asked last year - can someone confirm things are different on Android?
Of course running a custom ROM may mean the HDR mic isn't supported in the first place (referring to this thread).
Would be great if someone could experiment and find out what's what!
In previous version of Android(9 Pie), I was able to record the audio in stereo mode. After android 10 only able to record mono sound. Is it Device issue or Recorder App issue?
