Hello there,
I was running the latest android 4.2.2 on my device when I installed the current version of CyanogenMod for the Xperia Z. Since using the mod, my NFC no longer works, which it did previously. I tick the box, it stays grey and then unchecks itself. I have tried 2 fixes to no avail, both "NFCfix" and "possible nfc fix).
Is this a commonly known issue and is there a fix? Many thanks. Stephen.

Backup your data and flash to the firmware before the latest, reboot and then re-install Cyanogenmod, worked for me.

Hi, if anyone could help me it'd be much appreciated i have tried two different roms running the new 4.3 sony firmware but in both cases my phone seems to stay awake with android os being at the top of the battery drain list. for some reason or the other i is not allowing the phone to sleep, i believe it may be kernel related but am unsure. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and does anyone know of a way to fix this. any help would be much appreciated

Thank you for your quick response but that won't fix it as as far as I know I'm the only one having this problem on a freshly flashed fw with not even my Google account set up
I'm having the same problem.
At the moment it's on 57% of resources used. While the one below is only at 14%.
It's not all the time though... Some days it uses this much and other days it's just normal

Personally I would like to see something similar to what BetteryBatteryStats or Wakelock Detector show. On the main screen show Google Services, but when we click it for more information it would be nice to see a breakdown of exactly what service within Google Services is using up the CPU, battery, etc ,not only u have this issue even ur using google apps or not its still working on background .so, i disabled "Google Play Services", cleared the cache of all Google Related Apps, also Uninstalled All Google Related Apps, and it seems to solve the issue...:fingers-crossed:
Fasbook and Chrome drains the battery also really much. Delete all share apks and social engines with Titanium Backup or a root browser. Before I deleted some apks I don't had more than 3.5 hours Screen on time. Now every time 4+ hours. Once up to 5.5 hours.
Bloatware drains the Battery really much.
And yeah mtayabkk is right, Greenify some apps.

see i think that may be why im using a c6602 so
I have a similar problem, still trying to figure out what's causing it.
Conclusion
Ok guys ive drawn to a conclusion that the c6603 ftf file just does not go well with the c6602 model, maybe because of the radio of the c6603 model using LTE. But im not sure so if anyone with a c6602 phone wants 4.3 without battery drain youll just have to wait till sony releases it and someone makes an ftf of it
Never mind guys I reset back to 4.2.2 with ftf factory reset there flashed existence z then the stripped.ftf and now I seem to be getting no problem anyway thanks for all the suggestions
I have read (and experienced) the failure of location issues with pa_gapps-modular-mini-4.4.2-20140524. Do we have any solutions to the issues? I am hoping someone has a solution which I have missed.

I'm currently on Milaq's latest and have also had problems, here is what I've done :
Installed PA micro Gapps so that map's isn't a system app. Then disabled automatic update in Google play and installed this version of maps https://app.box.com/s/xepi3tqyu06bc01l8q6y which works after that I manually updated on play which has worked. If it doesn't just uninstall the latest version and revert back to the one you dl from the box link.
I hope this helps.
Works, kind of.
Thank you, the apk you linked to works.
Unfortunately, manual update breaks it again. I can restore to the downloaded apk, no problem.
I still have problems with location(even with the linked apk) for other applications(weather, etc.) not getting location.
I am guessing this has something to do with 4.4.2 builds and their interaction with Google.

Sorry that didn't work for , you could make a backup of your current install and then see if Milaq's latest works for you as jcsullins rom I believe is based on Milaq's. That's what I ended up doing and am really pleased with it.
All the best and good luck.

To check that, could you simply press the "uninstall" button in the Xposed Installer and reboot? Don't worry, you won't lose any configuration, you can simply press "install/update" to get back to the former state.

I disabled all the moduls, the problem still exists, only after completely uninstalling the exposed its solved.
Please check the few last posts here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...emaseks-unofficial-build-v97-t2681344/page394

Ok, then I'll have to check it once I find the time for it (hopefully this weekend). Any free theme I could use for testing?

Thanks for your help , you can use this theme : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2631573
A few problems with theme and icon pack (Cobalt) too, I noticed it recently so I think it's caused by the last changes in theme engine from CM 11.
Logcat in attachment below (no really sure it help you but I'm not dev so...).
Yes i am to facing this issue i am on a CM based rom every time i reboot the device settings app theme goes stock i just thing that its just beacuse tCM made some changes to its theme chooser ..
+1, same issue here . I love xposed!
Same issue.
Uninstalled Xposed and the theme stays after reboot.
Tried to install and reboot and theme reset to Holo.
Uninstall and reboot again and the theme returns.
I did not change the theme in between reboots.
Theres probably something about the recent CM nightlies.
Cyandelta started crashing on download if its icon is themed.
And now Xposed resets themes to Holo on reboot.
Kind of reminded me of the time CM changed to CAF.
rovo89 said:
Did you also try steps 5 to 9?
Anyway, it might be related to some recent change in CM11: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/cm11-themes-issue-caused-xposed-t2803025
In that case, you have to have patience until I find the time to flash CM11 again on my device.

I reverted back to 2.6.1 and the issue is gone. I'll wait the next soft reboot to see if the theme happens to change.

The problem has been present with 2.6.1 with the last few CM nightlies.
I tested it yesterday:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53919585&postcount=10
Maybe one thing to try is to revert to a CM11 build before July or further back.
Someone tested and the theme will stay after reboot (with Xposed installed) if you downgrade to the 30/6 CM11 nightly build.
Refer to recent comments here:
https://plus.google.com/u/0/107968316887546180702/posts/1cjAGhD5zrR
(EDIT: G+ post disappeared as of 8/7...)
So something changed in the July CM11 builds.

So it means that something changed in in the July CM builds.
And now its either Cm reverts/edits the change or Xposed adapt to the change.
The users are stuck in the middle (unless some are capable of coding it out ).
Well, its the nightlies I suppose I can't complain as I chose to flash it.
On the side note another problem this change causes is the crashing of Cyandelta on download start if the icon is themed via application of icon pack by the Theme Chooser.
I am also facing this issue using the last few nightleys when xposed is installed it's really frustrating as I love xposed and I love my theme i hope it Gets fixed soon
Just installed test version and seems working fine on HTC one x with aicp all except the theme issue with latest nightleys
i am too facing the same issue on AICP Rom 4.4.4, please fix this.can't leave Xposed don't want to leave my CM 11 themes:good:
Sorry probably should have mentioned that myself I am also on aicp 4.4.4 on HTC one x
can any one help US on the Xposed CM11 theme issue, its really getting hard to run device with an one of them......

Hi,
Do you know if Sony XZ2 is rSap capable ? or maybe we have to wait for a clean root (backup drm) to install this option ?
On Android-rsap.com their compatibility list is about older phones like Z5. I have also one but I don't remember being able to make rsap connection or maybe they only say that this phone can install rsap app and make it working ?
Regards,

Hi,
Now we have a solution for the Sony xperia xz2 H8216.
Special thanks to Martin Gerczuk the developer of android -rsap!!
We have worked together on this version of android -rsap and here is the working BETA!
1 Execute the installer (MK3) is only working.
2 Install Android-rsap from Google playstore
3 Install Bluetooth phonebook from Amazon
appstore
4 install phonebook plugin from Google playstore
5 enjoy working rsap on your sony
Great !!:good:
I will try
Well for now magisk 19.1 gives boot loop but 18.1 seems to work
still not working, I tried Mk2 and Mk3, no connection to socket, no access to sim and after reboot no sim card in phone. Removing mk2/3 the sim is back

I'm on magisk 18.1 and Mk3, everything work fine!
Please use only Mk3, mk2 is not ready yet! Use the in App uninstaller and try again Mk3!
No access to sim is normal on this beta but it works with phonebook plugin!
Please look at Screenshot! ?
I mean when I reboot the phone it tells no sim inserted and access to sim is restored after removing Mk3
If I install mk2 or mk3 I have the same result no socket connection

So on wich Firmware are you actually?
I'm on 51.1.A.11.51 modded by MartinX3, and it works without any problems.
So the only solution for you is to contact Mr. Martin Gerczuk the programmer of android-rsap.
[email protected]
He is very friendly and works hard for it!
Send him your log-file and greetings from Peter from austria.
Cheers.

Interesting, "ril not compatible" on omnirom 9.0 April for my xz2.
But the last app update was also in 2017.
Even no update to upgrade the app runtime/permissions for newer android versions.

I know, but the actually released version of android-rsap is just a beta to see if it works on Sony XZ2!
And it looks like the beta works only on android 8.0!
So you could contact Martin Gerczuk and help him to develop an official release!
Cheers
