No.You should not use ics stock kernels to wipe or flash
Use either philz or hydracore
that is a zip file. You need to be rooted and cwm recovery installed for installing this.

You need to do full wipes, cache data and dalvik, then r install rom.

Hey guys i rooted my ace last night using superoneclick but for some reason every rom i try to.install the installation aborts on me the first time it semi bricked my phone and i had to flash a stock rom using odin ive since rooted again but still cant flash a rom any suggestions guys

Which recovery are you using ?? You should use CWM 5..

There are some things you can do:
-reflash ROM
-flash another baseband with odin and then flash cm7.
Also check if you are using cwm recovery and you are rooted.
