I tried all the ROM available here at Atrix Hd and so far the most rom that i like is the Carbon Rom. For me the battery is better than the Mexican stock rom.

I'm running the 7/10 build of Xenon HD and I have had pretty decent battery life considering I overclocked my max CPU frequency to 1.9GHz.
I'm probably going to go for the EB40 mod eventually, but it lasts long enough for me since I'm never far from a charger for too long.
Xenon HD is very smooth, especially if you get something like CPU Tuner and set up custom profiles for better performance/battery life. I'm using the smartassv2 governor and I have had a pretty good balance of power to battery consumption. I haven't tried any of the other ROMs yet to be honest, but Xenon HD has performed well enough for me.
EDIT: family heykam was my captcha. I put it in the wrong box. Time for some sleep, I think.

I have also used Carbon and the battery drain, when I leave it powered on and untouched overnight is about 1% an hour.
One thing I noticed on my AHD with all 4.2.2 roms, with the exception of Xenon, is that my wi-fi connection will suddenly disconnect for no apparent reason. Sometimes, it reconnects on its own. If it doesn't, I have to turn wi-fi on and off before it reconnects again.
I tried Holoblur and the battery life is quite good on that as well. I also noticed that Holoblur connects very quickly to my home wi-fi compared to the custom roms.
I have gotten over 32 hours using clean rom (which is mex retail debloated and a few other tweaks ) it is a 4.1.2 rom so there are no bugs and after that holoblur

Hello i have just recently rooted my phone on stock 2.3.3 and looking for the best battery life ICS ROM.
It will we good if it was stable and hardly no bugs would be good.
Thanks!
I have CM9 with the latest Devil kernel. The battery seems to be very good! You should give it a try!

How much does it last with a "normal" use? I have the same kernel + teamics 4.2 but i'm not completely satisfied...
Also i'm interested in some others opinions since i have the same OP's question in mind
The best ICS roms regarding battery are 4.0.4 roms. Semaphore kernel works very good too.

I use SmartassV2. I use my phone very much and it still lasts for at least 24 hours.
until now, slimics+kernel stock seems the best choice for me.
For example, this morning:
- 40minutes listening to music
- wi-fi always on
- brightness almost at maximum
- 20 minutes with adobe reader
and only 25% burnt down.
I've used semaphore for a long time, very good kernel though, but the battery life ain't enough for me.

Here is a screenshot from my battery stats. I used my phone almost the full 7 hours, jet only 30% down. I think that is pretty good!
Slim by far. The ROM has literally no bugs, way more features than default ICS but doesn't have any bloatware. Battery life is awesome with default kernel & as for performance, its smooth as silk. Can't say about the others but literally for months I haven't even come close to considering others, there's no point. I haven't even upgraded from my SGS as a result, still satisfied with my phone.

By far it seems very good to me.
I'm at 70% after about 5 hours, used the phone pretty much (whatsapp, sms, browser mostly)
Have to wait some days to judge it completely but first impression is nice!

That rom is nice, how much does battery last with strong use?
Cm9 nightly build stock kernel gives me about 1d 12h battery (approx) from normal usage (phone call, text ,music via phone speakers, internet and little games)

Really? A day and a half? Even on my stock gingerbread battery only lasts around 20hours on normal use.
Ok i know gamers rom v10 is not ICS but im really amazed that it has better battery life than lots of ICS roms. Now im at 50% battery and been running for almost 19 hours.
Its about with normal use i do. And i got 3g or wifi on all the time because im so lazy to restart it when needed
I might try slim because i heard so much good things about in and see the battery life if its better or not.

Slims rom and what kernel are you using?
Currently i'm using ics infinitum rom. Battery life is really good. It easily went for two days. But there are many bugs in ics roms like camera fc, phone dialer fc etc. Now i wanted to go back to any good customised GB rom which matches the battery life of this ics rom, lasting upto 2 days.

with CM7 I was able to go a day and a half without charging and same with infinitum ICS v2.1 .. so am guessing it would be same for you
I9000XWJW5 2.3.6
And Sephamore Kernel 2.74..
I get almost 2 days with minimal use.. i get 24 hours with browsing, youtube, skype,, etc.

Try DarkyROM v10.4.2 [XWJW1]; it is arguably one of the best custom GB roms.
For cm7. What kernel you recommend

Strange... When I tried CM7 (CM7.1) on my i9000, my battery drained quite fast. Battery life was almost 60-70% down ( as compared to JVU stock rom) with CM7.
However I am quite happy with batter consumption on JW4 but I do miss video gtalk on this

I always updated to latest nightly and the last one I used was nightly 181.. smooth and great battery life.. auto sync and data on all the time along with other normal usage gave me batter life of 1 day +
Battery life is most important for me. i've tried alot of roms for this reason but then always came back to this combination.
1-) install I9000XWJVZ_I9000OXAJVT_OXA via ODİN,
2-) flash this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1058814
3-) then remove these apps

-battery life depends on usage : 2-4 days (i have 1700mAh momax but now i would prefer EPIC TOUCH 4G 1800mAh)
-you can delete those apps with "root explorer". ("/system/app")
Is there really any deference between android versions in battery life?
And in your opinion what is the best ROM for battery life at all (including GB)?
Well everyone uses their own phone accordingly. I currently use AOKP ROM. I do not have a data plan. If i use my phone only for calls or messages, i cant last thru 2-3 days. If i play games or whatever, then a single full charge only gets me through 1 day.
Battery Life is very dependant on how you use your phone so there really is not a best ROM for battery life
I meant that for the same usage which ROM (or android version) gives better battery life?
hmmm... I guess the you get best on CM7, which is Gingerbread.
I used lacoste 4.1.2 jellybean Rom . I have about 1-2 days on WiFi and average use . It can be considered as a battery saving Rom . Have not tested out other jellybean Rom yet besides that

Afaik, most battery friendly ROM is CM7 nightly #146 (GB ROM). Somebody recently posted download link for it. If you can't find it, download one of these, it will do the job. In general, avoid Sense ROMs if you need good battery life.

+1 for Gingerbread 3 days battery, over ICS 2 days with light use.
that's with tbklakes stock GB rom verses tbklakes stock ICS rom, if i oc, scraping 2 days lol.
Addy
GB 3 Days
ICS 2 Days
With normal use
i think the best battery life is for gingerbread.
Gingerbread? mmm
with my phone, I had a quite good feeling about Jeally bean.. if you use a lot of data/3G traffic, gingerbread is not the best

Cyanogen Mod is really good and reliable. I had liquid Smooth for a couple months but it kept restarting. I want to try Carbon but I'm having too much fun with CM. CM may be a little more basic but it works. Good luck.

One more thing. Download goo manager. I wouldn't recommend flashing and rebooting from there but it'll definitely give you the most current "popular" ROMs and gapps.

If I didn't touch my phone, I can get around 10-14 hours on the CM rom. If I use it periodically, 8-10hrs. Keep in mind, you can always hybernate specific apps that run in the background using Greenify. Performance is pretty good. I don't get any wierd lags or crazy color flashes on my screen. I haven't tried Carbon but I may switch over in a couple months just to try something new. Overall, CM is a very good product.

tilal's 4.4 OMNI rom seems to have the best battery in my opinion .... i wasnt going to go back to OMNI until it had more of its features but to be honest its fast smooth stable and battery lasts A LOT longer than any other rom i have been on
Stock ROM is best for battery.
Stock ROM debloated and then left alone
Keep in mind the display is the biggest consumer, then connectivity options, then only software. There its mostly Widgets and other things which need to constant update.
In my opinion,Hybrid rom(stock kernel) is the best rom i ever used..it provides good battery life too..

As surprising as this may sound the above is true. I seem to have equal battery life with Stock rom and Omni (except when 3G is enabled). 4.4 is so damn light. Keep in mind I am not a person who debloats. Have all sorts of apps syncing and background services running.
