Hello, I recently decided to open up a hosting site for Android. I am starting off with three servers on it. I was wondering if you'd guys could give me some feedback on it. I currently run it by myself and I am using a hosting script made by yetishare. The site is just for fun and I made it original for my friends.
The url is hive-hosting.org
If someone would want to theme it I would love that. Please have some type of notable person who can back you up. I know very little about making a website. Thank you in advance.

The benefits of using that hosting script are as follows.
Private folders.
Public folders with option of password.
Easy uploading
Easy setup
Easy controls if you want to setup pricing and such
Gives users a lot of control
Easily add servers.
My only issue with it is that there isn't an option to add mirrrors so if one server goes down alll that work is gone till its moved over.

I added another server.

Its cm9, miui, cna, and aokp in one installer with all the options, tweaks, modifications, and changes you could ever want.
Best part is you get to choose what you want and don't want. You can even change options and try different setups anytime without multiple cwm zips.
Status: bug testing 2.0
What's in it so far?
The entire kitchen sink
What's gotta be done?
Testing
More stuff
Aokp
translations
Polish
More tweaks
requests
htc multtask
modded google maps
-AOKP on screen navigation buttons.
-Tablet mod

cool facts for fellow devs!
900 line installer script
900 line aroma script
close to 2000 , ; and other annoying syntax bits that could go wrong
3 full aosp roms
total of 700mb shoved into 350mb
well over 150 test zips(stupid syntax errors)
by far the most bipolar project to date.
Also requests are nice especially during the building period

Jokersax, are you uploading this project right now? I've been advised by senior moderators that placeholder threads are no longer allowed (too many issues with devs placing them and not delivering anything for days). I have no problem leaving this one up for you, because I know you'll deliver. Just make sure you can upload and/or write the post within a timely fashion.

I'm thinking tomorrow for upload, I wanted to start off requests while we finish building. We have a basic test with a lot already for the photon. Making it for the atrix is a 30 minute swap of files.

That sounds awesome! I'm excited to test it.

neat =D you'll get it near perfect and assuredly someone will find something to complain about, jsyk xD
This sounds too good to be true what's the catch... jk

Full MIUI build? Put the one with AROMA installer inside the kitchen sink and... you'll get an AROMA within an AROMA? Arception.
Looking forward to it ! Too bad most of the builds are not fully stable / operational just yet we gotta wait for that to be fixed, too...
Awesome! Can't wait to test it!

Hi, i wanted to ask if there are any apps that could act like online cloud service, box, dropbox and drive, but instead of uploading it, export it into the phone rather upload it to the internet. One apps i just installed is called flipaclip has export but only upload via the network, no option to save into phone.
Thank you in advance

Confused as to what your asking it isn't completely clear... all those apps let you download and save to your phone...can you clarify what you want to do

Thread Closed as requested by OP.
As one of my first application, I decided to create an application that would have all of the most popular Android News Sites in one place. The application was originally built for use for myself but after sharing with some friends, I received a lot of feedback telling me to release it.
What makes the application special to me is the ease of use in which I made the options selectable. By giving each respective site their own button this kept everything organized. I then added in a drop down menu that can be used to navigate from each section of the application instead of having to go back to the home page. I finally added in a request button. This button is made so that users can request other Android news site be added into the application. I wanted to keep the application strictly for Android news and I plan on adding a lot more sites as it goes on.
I choose the price of $1 because that's what I truly felt the price should be. I didn't add in all the wasteful features that take away from the User Experience and I will not include features that make things difficult.
The play store link is

Thank you for your time. I appreciate the read. Let me know what you guys think. I am just getting started in my Android development.

Hi.
Im sick of seeing icons everytime I turn on my phone, is there anything I can use to make it different? I dont care it its like windows with the blocks, just something different then the 4 icons each row.

Use folders, each folder can be of a different type i.e. Games, Web based, Productivity and Entertainment.
The only limit is you imagination, don't forget you can always nest folders as well.
Good idea. I was thinking about making some round doughnut things as well but don't know how.

There's lots of launchers.. Windows 8 launchers for example.. Need to experiment with them... And look up the theme section in android general..

I tried that and liked it. Except the stock lock screen still active even when I turn it off. So I have the stock one and the W8 one. Its annoying.

You can make it look however you want, you imagination is the limit. Just go onto the homescreens thread and look there for inspiration.

Thing is I don't know how. I have thought of round moving circles that have apps around it. But no clue how

this is stupid
you change rom, you must apply for a new code
Hello everyone,
I've signed up for the beta a few weeks ago and I had the good surprise to receive my code yesterday.
I launched the app but what a disappointment when I realized there wasn't any theme displayed in the app.
After some research it seems linked to dpi or resolution of screen. I tried to change the dpi but no luck.
So did anybody find the good combination to display themes on our razr i?

First of all even if it's FREE, it is forbidden as per Forum rules.
Second, it is one time use only and is linked to your e-mail and your device. Even Your own code will not work if you try it on second device (I tried on my wife's device - not working) Or if you change the Rom

I waited patiently, got my code. But after getting into the app, I can't fond any themes in the 'browse themes' section to install. Strange.
Anybody else facing the same issue?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk now Free
Edit: The reason behind not finding themes was later realized as not keeping the screen in stock DPI. I reverted to stock screen from Expanded Desktop and Pie mode, making themes visible in the app.

Codes are only good for one time use and only on that phone.
This Themer app is essentially an exact copy of Buzz Launcher.
I just got my code and set it up and said "wow, this is an exact copy of Buzz launcher" without the hundreds and hundreds of quality themes. Not sure what to think of this.

Really? So buzz launcher started from a foundation hewn from some of the best designers in Android, was built from a crowdsourced site where people worldwide spend countless hours sharing their original works with the masses, provides detailed tutorials that assist any and all to replicate the same look on countless phones, with little to no monetary benefit, promoting app & widget development, and takes the next logical step in an evolving business model dedicated to the designer and user?
Pray tell, how did you make such a deduction, and upon what facts do you base this assertion?

So instead of buttressing your initial assertion as requested, you resort to backing it up with the self sealing of he whom questions thee is ignorant. And you lug in sarcasm for good measure.
As an aside, My Color Screen has many fine devs that love buzz launcher and rely on it regularly. I have nothing but good things to say about it.
I'd rather do no harm, besmirch none, hoping all the chance to prosper, allowing for choice and the market to ultimately determine what's best.

this app is all misaligned on my phone, i'm guessing due to my lower DPI on my rom. It really makes it much harder to get the themes looking like they do in the sample photos. It would be cool if they could add an option to calibrate the theme based on the phone's DPI value
I have the same problem. Every shortcuts get out of place making the themes look pretty awful on my phone.

In my opinion, it's much better than buzz launcher. Buzz launcher requires you to do all the work yourself. You have to separately download widgets, and set them up.
Themer does all of this for you.
