CyanogenMod was updated to version 10.1.1 yesterday which addressed several major Android security exploits. Is that something that gets into next touchpad nighlty build or does it wait for next version release. Just wondering.

Hi guys,
Recently I've used Cyanogenmod Installer to install Cyanogenmod on my HTC One M7, now I've Cyanogenmod 11.0 (XNPQ32P) and the build date is "Wed Aug 6" (build number KTU84Q). But which version is really installed? If I take a look here: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=m7 I can't find a stable or RC version so I'm assuming I've got a snapshot, but there isn't one from 6 Aug... And there are already new snapshots, so why does the updater don't see these?
My questions:
1) Which Cyanogenmod version does Cyanogenmod Installer install?
2) Which channel does this version follow for updates?
3) Do I make a chance to get an update to Lollipop through the updater when it's available?
I hope someone can help me out!
Thanks in advance!

lollipop is Cyanogen 12 you won't get the update running 11
if you want the latest nightly version just download it to the phone and flash it
Thanks for your reply! Does anyone have the answers to my first and second question?

As written in my first post I know it's CM 11 and I know the build date (6 Aug 2014) but I can't find this version on the CM download page, so I think the CM installer installs an other version... And I've no idea which channel this version follows for updates. I hope someone can help me out with that.

When you install cyanogenmod using the installer you'll only get updates when there is a newer stable or snapshot release. Don't know why its not updating to the latest snapshot, maybe they are using a different channel for the installer.
Why not flashing the latest snapshot? Then you'll be able to choose which channel (nightly/stable/snapshot) you want to use for updates?

Thanks for your reply! I've no idea why I don't receive any new updates, I'll try on the CyanogenMod forum, thanks again!
Edit: just found it: http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/93185-when-will-your-device-see-an-update/ it's another version, not the CM community version.

This post also explain it
the one-click installer uses code from a separately maintained and tested branch of CM that is not related nor can be compared to the community builds. It will only install stable builds that are tested by our QA engineers in our offices.
(...)
Stable builds will still be available for one-click devices when they are ready to be rolled out.
(...)
If you are wanting more rapid updates, my suggestion is to switch over to community builds.

So if you want updates, flash a CM zip
Yes, I've read it and that explains why, thanks again! I'm helped!
This is an unofficial build for all those who want to stay with CM11. The build is based on the pure CM code and does include the stagefright patches and other patches up to July 30.
It does run perfectly on my wife's N7000. However, use at your own risk.

Since - again - a severe security issue has been patched since the last time, I encourage everyone to upgrade.

Please tell us what is the changes applied to the official version of Cyanogemod. You only says to test it, with no description? No , thanks!

Well it's up to you if you use my ROM or not (basically you always have to trust anyone providing a ROM, because you cannot confirm the actually used codebase anyway!). In the meantime there is another official version out, so you can readily stick to that. I did not wish to wait with a severe security issue until someone built another official version. Last time it was 2 weeks between builds... which is far too long with such severe issues as recently.
Apart from that, your accusation is incorrect! Did you read the initial post? Apparently not, because it clearly stated that "The build is based on the pure CM code". This is still the case and will be if not stated otherwise. So there are NO CHANGES APPLIED TO THE OFFICIAL CM CODE, period! I just build it when an important patch is out but no official build.
no thanks
New version available. This includes the - not yet merged - patches http://review.cyanogenmod.org/112044 and http://review.cyanogenmod.org/112043. According to stagefright detector app this has removed the vulnerability CVE-2015-6602 (also termed stagefright V2). Here you go:

Official version of November 22 available. As a number of bugs have been remedied, everyone should upgrade.
Only thing is that Xposed does not work due to some patches. I will try to compile a new version including a fix for that next week.
New version available. All patches up to and including the one of November 23, and also including a fix for Xposed (taken from here: https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/15695/).

Hi NeuDLi,
after many test with cm12 i am now back to cm11 because i think cm12 use to much rom and our old n7000 will work very slow.
I have had many break down and automatik restarts. cm12 has no advantages for me.
the official cm 11 builds -i agree with you- will not quick updated.
now i give your rom a chance to work for me and my n7000. Thanks.
New version available. Includes official patches including December 8. Unless stated otherwise all further version will include the Xposed patch as of the previous post.

As the title states, does anyone have a copy of the last official CM13 biuld for h811? I'm unable to build it myself because it fails when it gets to Gello. Something about security issues (yes my ca-certs are up to date)
https://pastebin.mozilla.org/8929824
@codeworkx has stated in the h815/h811 thread that there will be a weekly CM13 build. I'ts been a week, I don't see any for h811. (Official builds are broken for some reason/something up with jenkins)
I built my own. It can be found >here<.
It's a folder. I'll build new ones on request or if I've found there's been changes. (New build on the 28th)
Any help would be appreciated.
I have the 11/06 and 11/08 builds. I believe 11/08 was the last one, but I'm not sure it's stable. Which do you want, and where should I put it? Is Mega okay?

Both if you don't mind. I'll try em.
11/08 is done uploading, and 11/06 should be done within the hour.

I am still running 10/04, and the latest official seems to be 11/30, so should I go with 11/30 or the build here?
I only see an official 11/30 build for CM 14.1, not 13.0.

You're right, the 11/30 one is CM14, I didn't notice that

Just flashed the November cyanogen mod update. Xposed isn't working. I'm assuming that it's the November android security patch causing the problem, because it stopped working on my phone Saturday after I flashed an updated rom. From what I've found, the cm team doesn't support xposed, so xposed developers will have to find a work around, and all we can do is wait.

Known issue with Nov 16th security patch impacting (at least) CM 12.1 and CM 13 on multiple (likely all) device types. CyanogenMod does not officially support Xposed; will be interesting to see how this plays out. For now stick with 20161021 build of CM 12.1 if you want to use Xposed.

Why would anyone use an outdated version full of bugs and security holes?
You can always check out the code an do a build for yourself.

Not everyone has the ability to build a ROM from source themselves. When I first got into building from source it took me 2 years off and on just trying to get a build environment together. My first successful build was CM 11 for Hammerhead! I build on a Virtual Machine with Ubuntu and a build takes me days to complete. I remember the days of being a noob in rooting and flashing ROMs for Metro PCS phones
i have tried ti load nethunter Kali, without success
