Cannot restore phone HELP PLS - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys
I think Ive messed up my phone pretty bad.
It loads up fine everything works, but camera and wifi just refuse to function.
it boots into bootloader and either CWMR or TWRP
BUT I canot drag n drop any files from pc to storage, or download anything from phone to it's internal storage.
When connected to PC i can see /storage/emulated/legacy.
Im on software 1.29.401.12
As far as I'm aware, there isn't a RUU available yet.
Ive tried using rev one/moonshine to get s off and change cid but no luck.
Please help me get this back to a 100% working state.
Thanks.

1. Where do you live?
2. Are you S-Off? If you are you can almost flash any RUU in fastboot mode. Getting S-Off here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314582.

Do you have fastboot (at the bottom) in settings/energy disabled?
Is HTC Sync Manager running?
Sometimes you have to try it multiple times to get S-Off to work.

If you have Hboot 1.44.000 and follow the revone instructions there shouldn`t be a problem bro. Did you open a second cmd window after ./revone -P and rebooted the phone.

OK if you are running the Downgrade script, just answer yes when it asks to make a goldcard. That is what is causing the CID error.

Thanks for hijacking the thread. Your question doesn't have anything to do with the topic in the title.
Anyway, in your case it sounds like you have not prepared your PC correctly. Have you installed the latest HTC drivers? Have you verfied that your phone has ADB Debugging enabled on the phone and the FASTBOOT option disabled in Settings?

Sorry for hijacking the thread . I was trying to avoid creating a separate thread for a thing that could be answered in this thread. Yes latest HTC drivers are installed, ADB debugging is enabled and FASTBOOT is disabled. also i have tried this at least 3-4 times, when i disconnect the phone after waiting for around 10mins it asks do you want to create a gold card, then i connect my phone again and press yes. Once the whole process is done and i try to run RUU it says incorrect CID.
Thanks,
Akshay

The question could have also been asked in the downgrade script thread. Go there, read the instructions, specifically the support section and post the required information.
So how can I fix the problem? I'm new to this forum and I don't know what is the next step for fixing the mess.
When I press the volume down and the power I get
Fastboot
recovery
factory reset
sim lock... (but I cant move through these options)
then SD checking \image pg....
loading failed
then CID incorrect!
Update Fail!
Press <POWER> to reboot.
What is the procedure to fix this error? I can't even navigate through the options.
Does it have to do with the unlocking the boot loader in htcdev with ncredible S( asia wwe)?

Run the downgrade RUU in fastboot mode.
Yup I created a goldcard.
I haven't run the RUU yet waiting for it to finish download.

Yes that's normal, the ruu cannot run on an unlocked bootloader so the script automatically locks it.
RUU didnot work, the error is that the mobile is of different version,
what should I do next?
What Rom should I use and the link to download it

Phone stuck on HTC screen

I tried to flash a RUU in order to get back to stock but what ended up happening was that after the installation the phone would continue to boot up on the HTC screen and continue in that manner.
When I go into Hboot mode this is the information that comes up:
VIVO PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-6.13.1002
RADIO-3805.04.03.27_M
eMMc-boot
Apr 1 2011, 18:34:39
This is the RUU I used: RUU_Vivo_BellMobility_WWE_1.37.666.3_Radio_Radio_20.23.30.0802U_38.02.01.17_M_release_174461_signed
I know other people have had this problem and some of the solutions recommended were getting the rom.zip file from the RUU and renaming it to PG32IMG.zip and putting that on the root of the sdcard. I would like to know which RUU would be best for doing this as the one I previously used doesn't work.

Since you are S-OFF with the Revolutionary HBOOT, you can not simply flash a RUU to return to stock because the Revolutionary HBOOT prevents itself from being overwritten.
Also the RUU you are attempting to flash is an old Froyo ROM and if you have run any Gingerbread based ROMs, this RUU would have caused you to radio brick your phone. In fact you may have already radio bricked it and that is why it won't boot past the HTC screen.
You need to search this forum for the correct way to remove the Revolutionary S-OFF and return to stock.
I tried using this method to get rid of S-OFF but whenever I attempt 2c I get this: error: cannot load 'vivo_downgrade.img'

Yeah I did the .img file in the same directory, it might be a USB problem although on bootloader it says Fastboot USB so it should be connected properly. Still get the same error.

That fact that your phone is booting is a good sign and the radio version is higher than the one in the RUU you tried to run, so that is good.

do you have s-off? you can only flash a RUU with s-off...
How exactly did the computer glitch? Calm down, if you can get into the bootloader which I assume you can (as you can see the tampered etc tags) then it's still salvageable. As the person above asked, do you have s-off?

nope still got it to work though. was very shocked. bootloader worked, was locked, and s-on. could not do ruu so i found a stock rom i ran it once got a security issue then manually typed it in something like fastboot flash image XXX.zip and got another thing 12 security signature or something other, ran it again imediatelly <did not close command prompt and left phone with the htc emblem on there> with the same command and surprisingly it worked!
Unlock then reflash a recovery
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Yep, that should do it since you unlock and flash from the bootloader.

Using CWM and TWRP - sometimes one works and sometimes one doesnt
Using adapter to 16gb jump drive (to install roms using recovery)
My trouble is that every rom i've installed has left me in a boot loop. sometimes the rom will load, sometimes i wont make it past the lockscreen, the time varies but never more than a few minutes and not once have i had a connection - no service, no 3g , 4g wifi or anything.
I've looked into acquiring S-OFF, but for hboot 1.56 im not sure.
firewater requires the internet connection and seeing how i can barely keep my phone from bootlooping... this has been two days now and im in desperate need for my phone.
what do i need to download/install or research? i wipe every time i flash, i can use adb...
Im fairly savvy enough to use/understand the tools provided to me, i just am at a loss as to what to do now.
I've tried to go to a RUU but between the two versions i tried, neither worked ( i tried with the 'locked' and 'unlocked' )
i used the guru reset (thanks crushalot) for CID SPCS_001 and it did load but again i had no service and the phone would restart every few minutes. I used the htc all in one tool (thanks hasoon) to push revone - never got anywhere with that at all - moonshine and rumrunner also did not work.
Heres the list of roms ive tried already by using both twrp and cwm. these are zips located on my 16gb flashdrive attached using an adapter. the roms normally load and give successful messages but then when loading either fail or only loop:

My guess is you tried to install a GSM rom which messed up your parttions.
Use this guide to fix
Use the 4.06 s-on firmware and when you get to step 8 refer to 8a (adb push a Sprint 4.06.651.4 sense rom to your device) once you are up and running you can flash any Sprint 4.06.651.4 rom.
Any questions PM or post here

So here's what i did.
Fastboot oem lock - Works
Fastboot oem rebootRUU - Works
Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip (s-on 4.06.651.4_firmware.zip) - Works!!
Fastboot reboot-bootloader - Works
Fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin -Works
Fastboot erase cache - Works
Fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.3-m7spr.img -Works
>Go into Recovery
>Sideload
(CMD)
adb kill-server -Works
adb usb -Works
adb sideload sprintkitkat.zip Works!! (renamed from sprinthtcone_signed_020214_4.06.651.4_kitkat)
Reboot - crosses fingers!!
:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
...Fail. Bootloop again! It recognizes touch, but the home screen reverts back to the green HTC logo, and then restarts.

It says you used the 3.04.651.2 firmware..it would not be possible for you to flash the 3.04 firmware because you are s-on your phone wont allow it.
Or if that was a typo and you did indeed use the correct firmware you most likely got an error and it didn't finish flashing.
Or the rom was a bad download.
I noticed that you sideloaded a Rom and flashed after the RUU? Did you flash the boot.img found in the zip of the Rom you flashed?
Sent from my HTC One using xda-developers app
Dang i dont know since i named it firmware. I knew i had to get the 4.06, maybe i made a typo. nonetheless i dl now and going to follow the exact process again.

Sideloaded a rom yes, im not using an ruu, (although if i could i would use an ruu but i have yet to make it work without error maybe due to my version) but if i was, flash what after? if unzip a rom and find the boot.img should i flash that?
I feel that the fact my connection is gone; cell,3g 4g wifi - that it means something much more devastating has happened. I rooted an evo years ago and i remember finding problems like this that refer to wimax and rsa keys. Anyway. ill post more info once i figure out EXACTLY which firmware i install this time.

Alright. Using the correct firmware 4.06 this time and it finished and gave a success message, afterwards i adb sideload through twrp this ROM Sprint-HTCONE_Sense-4.4.2.zip found here on xda http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2633129 and then i extracted the boot.img found in the ROM. I used fastboot flash boot boot.img and had success. At reboot... Failure looms again.
Described as Odexed/Rooted
I'm wondering whats happening. at the lockscreen i open and see this message: "process htc.dialer.com isnt working would you like to.." then it gives me a green htc logo and whit background. at the lockscreen i see that i have no signal. seems as though i am missing vital pieces of the puzzle.

YES! I used firewater (thanks to the developer) and it was simple! It also removed the ***Tampered*** flag.
Cheers! Have a beer on me.

Just out of curiosity how would i go about installing a ROM that isnt 4.06, downgrading to use ROMs, like Viperone or Paranoid Android?

[CLOSED] M7 not recognized in fastboot mode

Hello,
Currently I am running a converted GPE M7 and wanted to revert to stock ROM. But right after I changed my CiD from GOOGL001 to 11111111 the phone stopped getting recognized in fastboot mode (it gets recognized when booted normally). Can anyone help me solve this issue?
I have tried numerous guides on how to solve this, no luck. Tried reinstalling drivers, HTC sync drivers (removed sync), manually, nothing, phone shows a yellow exclamation mark in device manager. Using a USB2 port btw.
I am running win8.1 x64. Before it worked flawlessly. Now nothing... So can anyone help me with solving this and getting back stck ROM?
Phone is s-off, unlocked, rooted btw
Thanks all

hboot 1.44 isn't compatible with windows 8.1 hence why fastboot doesn't work but everything else is fine (detected when booted but not detected when in bootloader)
Use win 7 or try this walkaround

You can use Ubuntu on your computer without installing it, go to ubuntu website, download the iso and burn it on a disc. Boot your computer from the disc, select "try ubuntu". Once booted in ubuntu install android tools and flash your ruu.zip.

If I remember correctly, it was HTC__032 and PN0710000
@alray - I was trying it in ubuntu (14.04 version), but couldnt get very far... I couldnt install adb and fastboot
In the terminal I used these commands one by one:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot
And after the last one it said - unable to locate package android-tools-adb etc.
After that, I am lost...
EDIT: I also tried Ubuntu 12.04 but there was no option to "Try without installing"
@alray - Ignore my previous post, I FINALLY made it work. The problem with the 12.04 version was, that I downloaded the wrong one, I downloaded the "alternate" version, not the "desktop" version, now it is working flawlessly and ADB+Fastboot are running, phone is detected in fastboot, so today I will be flashing back to stock
Many Thanks for your help and guidance

Don't forget that since you are using Ubuntu, you will have to use an older ruu.zip because newer ruu (7.xx.xxx.x) will only flash using htc_fastboot.exe which is Windows only. No problem flashing older RUU using the standard fastboot from ubuntu e.g. 1.28.401.7 or 4.19.401.9
