It's working, but laggy. Superiour auto is always crashes. There is no updates in picture quality, only visual changes and some toys like AR Effect. But you'll loose 13 MP in Superiour auto, scene selection and stability.
So choise is yours. If you still want it you can find it in Honami roms like eXistenZ Ultra Edition or Essential Honamix.
Or if you don't want to flash new rom you can ask for it in Honami ports thread. Someone will give you a link in a private message.

Do you know how a company works?
They deleted it for marketing reasons, do you understand how bad it would be if Samsung and other brands would got their hands on Sony source before release? They want it to be exclusive, not that another brand would release something similar earlier

But what is with the Roms of ZeroInfinity and monx.
There is the new Camera .
My own Camera Mod wich i have made for odex Roms works perfect without FC. ( No PM`s...I don`t share it )

Xperia T has the same hardware with Xperia SP.Why new applications on Xperia SP is not shared with Xperia T.
Not like Samsung, Sony created a puzzling problem
Apparently this new firmware fixes the walkman app bug, all I've done to fix mine is freeze the smart connect app and now the walkman player works like a dream

Yep I did that too. Hoping for BE2, HDR video recording and maybe Stamina mode.
It's just a thought, I don't think it's possible but nothing is impossible
Can it be done? It's more of a software issue any way and it would make the xperia even better

While the camera is pretty much the same, the stock S4 camera app runs on Samsung's proprietary framework.
I highly doubt that the camera app could be ported over.

I meant to say that the hardware is nearly the same. S4 uses the same camera hardware as Xperia Z. Read the post again, I think you misunderstood.

Maybe not, coz not saw HDR setting there, res. 13MP is there. but u can add more some features like photosphere. that not include in stock camera. if u like

Did this reduce the noise in Xperia Z pictures? I didn't buy the phone because the processing artifacts were a turn off... I was going to wait for the Honami but if this software enhances the Z's camera output sufficiently I might be swayed.

Getting a bit bored of the Monx rom, though excellent for Sony base.
I was just wondering if anyone had a definitive list of what I lose if I go aosp, cm11 etc.
I know for example that the xreality goes (not too bothered), but are there camera implications? Anything properly broken?

Make a nandroid backup.. And try AOSP, if u don't like u can come back..

as I know you will loose x-reality , xload , clear audio+ , you will have a less loudness on speaker , maybe the BIONZ ( not sure about that) .. as you know the sony apps ( album,movies,walkman,camera,keyboard) replace with aosp default apps

Thanks. Does the lack of Sony processing on the camera help or hinder the quality? I'm assuming sound can be mitigated with something like pimped kernel?

album, movies, walkman, keyboard already available for AOSP rom, please do a proper search and there is no problem with loudness

Cheers I tried Google camera and honestly I don't think I'll miss the sony camera too much. Auto hdr is nice but I don't need it most of the time. Think I might take the plunge!

Apart from stock camera we can have some Sony ported apps in CM and PA na ? Like Z2 ported SystemUI etc etc... ? I think yes..
Aosp, snap hdr camera, xposed and you will have the best stability

And also there is a Z2 social camera port for CM 11/ PA / AOSP based roms.. Did u tried that ?
I know it will not give any big difference in photo clarity..

I tried many camera apps but snap HDR is the best of all with aosp, there is a Facebook calendar sync app also and Walkman is not good at all if you're using BT, the default music app is the best in term of sound quality.
