Hello Everyone,
I am new to XDA, so pardon me for any mistake.
As everyone would be familiar with S-View Covers for Galaxy SIV, i am developing an application that would work with SIII Mini flip cover and will provide similar experience as S-View Covers, Attached is the photo so that you can have an idea.
I need to know your response towards this App, do you want S View feature in Galaxy SIII Mini ?

Thanks for the response, the app will be uploaded to Google Play Store soon...please suggest some name for it
Please just make sure it's battery efficient and, if you have the time, customizable. But the priority is battery efficiency and that is very difficult to achieve when using the proximity sensor.
Thanks for suggestions. I am testing the app for battery efficiency, as so far its using 3% of battery.
Can u please suggest some ideas how to improve battery efficiency ?

Customizable sensor polling interval. perhaps even a copldown time between succesive sensor triggering.
okay, I'm actually new to android development but i will look into the things you said...thanks anyways

Hi everyone,
I need your help, me and my friends made a short Youtube video for a contest and we want to know what you think of it. If you like it great (don't be afraid to click "like") if not, please give me your honest opinion (be kind).
The video was all shot on a Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G.
Thanks to all who will check it out !

It was edited on a separate computer, but all shot were captured with the Tab. We only had about an hour to take all our shots so not all of them are great.
We'll be doing another mission soon and this time we won't have a time limit, so it should be even better.
Hey bossman, could you make the image in your signature a little bigger please? I think I can still see some of the forum around the edges

You tried to search around? maybe a little Google search...
Cause if you did, you could see that most part of us is very happy with it (even being a little early for customs, hacks, etc...).
If you need motivation, you'll find a lot in LG Official site
XDA-developers.com is a great forum but I think it starts to be a little flooded with some... unnecessary questions or posts
(at least in "LG Optimus 4X HD").
Thank you all and please, search before ask
the phone itself is good especially on 10f. however some games still lags with it. for your case ill recommend that u stay on ur note till ur jelly bean and meanwhile wait for 4x to get its custom roms unless you are fine with stock and also monitoring other brands and phones. otherwise i dont have much complains on 4x either especially from someone who was pissed off at 2x previously.
Be careful not to buy this device in the developer version. I and many other friends here are facing hell to find a solution upgrade. :banghead:
But the phone is good! Very good!

The phone is very good, about that you're right
Yes but they're selling developers phone as retail phone. Search ebay.com as an example.

I think andrasandhi was only joking bones
Ok its just alot of people decide to be funny on forums and post unhelpful and unnecessary comments, I hate people that are rude to those that are less able to understand things im no Einstein but I share any knowledge I have to those that want to listen. But no harm no foul a joke is joke you just never can tell unless a peron is physically talking to you.

I have bought a flip cover and so thought of having an app for it which turns on screen as i open the cover and turns off when i close it.
So i searched xda- and found on "proximity off 6.1" but when i installed and config the settings and when i used it , it turned the screen off but when i removed the cover the screen never woke up.
So had to restart the phone:what:
So i tried 2-3 more apps from playstore but they were the same. Nothing worked me.
I'm on DDULP8 ,cocore 6.0, amd no mods.
So anyone know a good app for this cover purpose? Plz tell.

A few weeks back I saw an app... It is not exactly what you are looking for.. It uses the phone's front camera to automatically detect the presence of a person and unlocks it.. BUT it drains a lot of battery as it will frequently turn on the camera to look for a face (although your display will be turned off)
Did you try that? If no then I will try to search for that thread again
Sent from my SGSA... If my post(s) helped you in any way then please wish me Good Luck for my exams!
I got an app cover lock working. It didn't work on cocore 6.0 when i returned to stock kernel it worked fine.
But now its not working correctly, as i have edited my SystemUI.apk. but the things which i have edited were only pngs, i dont know why that app started to misbehave now.
