Can't seem to find the download...
I'm trying to install the latest OTA update and I'll need to revisit stock recovery for this. I've flashed another recovery that claims "stock" but it doesn't work. Anyone have a link to a sprint recovery stock image? Thanks

OK First and foremost i would like to say Thank You XDA Developers, you have helped me figure out ALOT about my phone.
First lets just say I'm a noobie at this (aren't all beginners?) and i did try the search function but couldn't find anything . if someone does find, please link me too it, it will be greatly appreciated.
OK now back to the problem, the thing im trying to do is install a custom ROM onto my HTC Raider LTE from rogers, i have rooted/unlocked/ installed CWM recovery on it and my phone is S-ON. this is where things get difficult for me, i don't know where to go from here, i have already downloaded DarkRaider_v1.5.0 and virtuous_inquisition-v4.0.2 just to see which one is better but i do not know what to do with these files. i have booted from recovery and installed from zip but i guess that's not right cuz i tried it three time and had to re-install the stock rogers ROM 3 times due to it Boot looping. Thanks in advance and sorry for any annoyance i may have caused
can a mod please Delete This Post it was my first one but i realized i posted it in the wrong section Thanks
i belive rogers is still on gb so you cant flash ics roms unless you make your phone s-off by doing this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1576668 and then this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1612685 or wait till rogers updates your phone to ics
Oh so atm i could only flash GB roms is that correct?

Oh , so in order to have an ics Rom I must upgrade my hboot to ics the flash the boot IMG and then flash the zip file from recovery?

Correct and the only way to do that is wait for rogers to release ics or go to the links I posted earlier and do what they say

Hi,
New to Android, I have a Nexus 4 and HTC One in black. I dont like the sense stuff, prefer the Nexus 4 due to vanilla Android so now that Cyanogen 10.1 is being worked out for HTC One I would like to ditch HTC 4.1.x with Sense and go to Cyanogen.
I'm fairly ok with unlocking bootloader etc however have some questions that I wonder if you guys could help with - I learn pretty quick so wont be a n00b pain for long
First question
I'm running stock HTC on Three UK. The ROM has not been released on HTCDev. What can I do to back up the Three UK ROM so if I need to go back, I can?
Thanks in advance
I think is better wait for cyano.
Isn't stable and thr official nightly aren't released too.
However, you can backuo your rom in recovery

For sure I'll wait until at least stable.
How do I go about backing up rom in recovery? Use CWM?

First of all, I'm a total noob in HTC world (coming from samsung and nexus line). HTC One is my first HTC device. I'm really in need of a detailed explanation right now, and I know my kind of topic might have been posted somewhere in this forum but believe me, I've done so much research (google-ing, searching on XDA forum) most of them is quite 'off-topic' and not exactly as what I need to do.
So here's my noob question...
I'm on STOCK rooted HTC One atm, with software number of 1.29.707.3 and using ElementalX kernel. Got TWRP recovery installed. And I want to install and OTA update of 1.29.707.16... So what do I need to do actually? I know custom recovery can't be use to install OTAs so, does reflashing the stock recovery and removing root will make this work? or do I need to do the total "going back to stock" step like relocking bootloaders etc? It's driving me nuts searching for this kind of solution...
You need to install the stock recovery and kernel (just in case) and you're good to go.

the kernel is not mandaroty right?
Is a correct ota for each region required, or can we flash any? For example could I flash any ota on my Australian one?

OTAs are restricted to their CID's so don't go around flashing OTA's from phone on a different region
Right. thanks for the reply bro.
I'm already using Android 4.4.2 KK but I'm still in Sense 5.5. Can anybody tell me why can't I get a update to Sense 6?
Thanks in advance

Right now I'm using a Viper ROM. But I want to revert back to a rooted stock sprint ROM for my m8 HK. Can anybody hook me up with a link to download one I'm using TWRP recovery. Thx
Check out OMJ's RUU thread in the development forum. He has stock rooted ROM's there.
