How to remove status bar from today screen?

Hi. I want more space for calendar on my today screen. Is there some way to remove status bar?

You can use PMC Today Shrink (I think this is one of Vjays creations). This will remove the bottom status bar - but the functions of the soft keys remain. Try it - it works for me.

Status bar icon question

What does the number icon on the status bar mean (circled)?
I can't find an explanation in the user guide. First I thought it had to do wifh new messages or something, but there is no correlation as far as I can see. Usually the number is between 1 and 4.

That means you have enabled the option to view app notifications as numbers instead of icons.

Three notification if I pull down: alarm, weather and google backup.
But if I return on home screen only one icon on status bar.
This started with 12.5
Did a full reset as well.
