Try clearing the cache and data for the play store. Maybe try fixing permissions in recovery. You could also delete/ re add your google account. If those don't work, I would probably do a full wipe and reflash.

It's still not possible to install apps. I have a theory that there's something with the adress to my "sdcard" in my tab. When I try to download apps it say I downloading, but I could not see any arrow up on the screen how telling me I'm downloading, and no message telling me that my app is downoaded. When I og back to app store it's telling me that this app is installed, but there's no app on my tab.
Back to my theory, the adress to my "sdcard" is 0/sdcard and not /sdcard how I think is normally.Maybe therefore I not succeed.
Can that be the reasen? (Sorry for my bad English)

I came from stock gb rom flashed a stock ics firmware using pc odin. Now i can't install apks anymore using astro file manager or even the stock file manager. The install button doesn't function. Ive already ticked the install from anonymous sources but still no go. What went wrong? Help.
Get on a safe kernel and try wiping cache, dalvik, and data. (Franco, speedmod, or CM9)
Do NOT wipe data on stock ICS!
Is that the only workaround? Im a little bit worried about bricking my device with all the horror stories here.
Downloading and installing apps thru google play works fine. However when i try installing apps using astro, all my downloaded apps won't install, the install button doesn't respond.

I don't know what Astro is....so I'm not sure what else to tell you.
Sorry...astro is a file manager
Have you tried installing apps from Amazon app store?
Not yet, i only tried installing from google play, only my previous downloaded apps wont install using a filemanager. when i press the install button nothing happens.About flashing a safe kernel, how do we go about it?

Wow!! Removing the screen filter app did the trick! Thanks a lot man!
Same Problem !!
I had the same problem, now solved after removing the screen filter app.
This is just a guess - maybe the old apks are not compatible with ics maybe they are outdated and would only install on gb.
Sorry, I should have researched this before I did it, but I did a reset to factory default after I rooted. Now I can't get root back. Am I screwed?
You probably have not lost root. It just erased SU. Try re installing SU.

It is stated elsewhere, but doing a factory reset only removes SuperUser.apk, since it installs pretty much like other 3rd party apps. "su" stays in /system/xbin until you manually remove it. Factory reset doesn't do a full recovery of the /system partition, and Amazon hasn't provided a tool to do it. So, always be careful not to change anything you may not be happy about later in your kindle's life.
Did you succeded? I would like to reset but i fear for my precious root...

It's fine I've factory reset at least twice since rooting, nothing in the system/app gets touched when you do a factory reset, so if you have things like the Play Store, Google Services Framework etc. in there they will still be there & installed after doing the reset.
The only things I have added in my system/app are:
SuperSU.apk
Phonesky.apk (Google Play Store)
AccountAndSyncSettings.apk
GalleryGoogle.apk
GoogleLoginServices.apk
GoogleServicesFramework.apk
ApexLauncher.apk
They remain untouched after reset & available to use, no root lost.
I use Titanium Backup Pro (The free version doesn't include the feature) to convert user apps into system apps and integrate all updates into the ROM, then do a factory reset and everything is still there and still rooted.
I know there is other apps that do this but, i'm not sure what they are called.
Hi to all but I will get crazy with the problem I will have concerning google +
I have a Galaxy Tab 7 P1000 rooted, Overcome 4.0 Rom, Gingerbread 2.3.3 version, Google+ latest version 3.6.0 44338848
I am using Google+ from the begining the application was created. I week ago without doing anything ( I think so ) I have the above problem.
I had tried everything, I had cleared cash, removing app, installing earlier versions still the same problem.
Lets say I have not Google+ installed. I open play store, I find google+ I install the application, I have the message the application was installed ok.
If I try to open the app with the open button in the google+ page through the market, I get the message "The requested item couldn't be found on this device so couldn't be launched" Crazy??? because If I go in the google play store and search for it, it says installed/.
Now, if I try to open the application through the app drawer, app opens and I have the message Can't load data. Check your internet connection.
My internet connection is Ok all the other applications in my tab are running ok, gmail and play store included.
Google+ on my laptop and PC using the same connection are working fine
I had searched the net for this problem, I had not found anything to solve this problem.
Am I only the one that has this problem?
How can a installed android application when I try to open to get that doen't exist????
Please help , Very very strange problem I think
Thank you all in advance

Yes I had tried both no help though. I had checked permissions and I had cleared cashes through settings
Searching in google forums, another one with the same tab same rom same version had exact the same problem but he didn't found a solution.
If so, why not upgrade to overcome 4.1?

I had used 4.1 and I had problems in my Tab 4.0 works like a charm.
The case is Google+ was working with the same rom for a long time
I don't understand generally in android how it would be possible an installed application google play indicates as installed, when I press open to get the message that the " requested item couldn't be found on this device so clouldn't be launched" ????
This is the first time seeing this
In titanium backup, I restore the app or the data or both, I have the message restoration ok and when I press open I had the message " Starting of Google+ is not possible"
This is the first app I see this.......
When I start the app from the app drawer, app starts I see all the menu but it cannot connect to server???????, getting the message "Can't load data.Check your internet connection"
Have you an explanation?
Blank screen on Google+
Almost the same problem with my girls phone. Desire HD viper ROM 2.3.6
Cleared and fixed everything, removed, reinstalled google+ without any result.
When I open Google+ it shows just a blank screen. No login tab.
Any ideas?

Seriously thinking of going back to 4.2.2
This hangouts app is terrible compared to gTalk. Is there any way I can install it on 4.3 without having to get root?
I am interested in this as well. My wife hates hangouts and her GNex is not rooted.

Google Talk from 4.2.2 can not be installed any more
First thing that I tried after updating my Nexus to JB 4.3 was to remove Hangouts and install back Google Talk from JB 4.2.2 but with no success. Application can not be installed any more. If anyone find solution for reverting back to Google Talk on JB 4.3 please let us to know. Hangouts are really terrible

Same issue. Any way to get google talk on 4.3?
I'm in the same boat. Don't wanna root the device, but don't want to stick with this ugly Hangouts either.
Anyone got a link to working Talk.apk for 4.3?
I uninstalled Hangouts.apk using Root Explorer (EStrongs), then I copied Talk.apk to /system/app
Set the permission to rw-r--r--
Reboot
It works, I got Talk notification ...
But, the Talk app is not shown in the app gallery
UPDATE:
Wiped Dalvik cache and Cache, doesn't help
Did all of that here too. Same results. It seems that Google is actively disallowing Talk.apk somehow.

Talk working
Guys im on stock 4.3 and rooted.
I was also playing around to get talk back... and i got it running "version 4.1.2-485486" even video call and sound is working just tested it.
what i did was download de gapps "gapps-jb-20121011-signed" deleted everything inside i dont want so just system\app and the lib files are in there.
Flashed it with twrp and it worked.
Got the zip here you can flash it but make a backup just in case.
Code:
http://speedy.sh/bcNdM/gapps-jb-20121011-signed-Talk-working.zip
And with titanium backup you can detach talk from the market so you wont get the update notification for hangouts.
please more details for newbies dear sir

Could you please provide more details what my steps should be to "flash it with twrp"? After I root my nexus 4 (which is well documented, I just looked up) and downloaded twrp & your gapps version. Thanks a lot in advance.

Yep, that worked for me however i got the latest version of gapps for 4.2.2 instead of 4.1.2, slightly updated version of gtalk...dont know what the difference was.
Before i flashed gapps though i uninstalled hangouts with titanium...don't know if that was neccessary...also can't detach talk from the market without the paid version of titanium...maybe i should get that, i still have credit left from when i got my nexus 7 last year

If you've installed twrp, when the tablet is on put the zip file on the sd card, reboot into recovery (twrp), select install, navigate to the sdcard folder and select the gapps zip file. it should install.
i also go to advanced and fix permissions after, don't know if it's needed or not.
I also used titanium to uninstall hangouts first, again i dont know if i needed to do this.
So I was running CM 10.1.3 just fine, had no issues at all with the marketplace or anywhere else and decided to try stock root, well after installing stock root I decided i hated it and wanted to go back to 10.1.3, so I wiped the nook and installed CM 10.1.3 and gapps, but whenever I go to the playstore, several apps I had no issues with before will not download because it says they are incompatible with my device. Tried to reinstall twice more with the same result.. Not sure whats causing this issue or how to fix it. Any advice would be welcome.

Are you using the latest play store? You have a couple options here. You can install a modded play store that will allow you to install any app. You can install xposed framework and download the all Google Apps module which will allow you to install any app.

What did you format before returning to 10.3.1? I would do /data, /cache and a manual /system wipe.
