Dear Note lovers,
Since many people have bricked their note 10.1 Nxxx after the 4.1.2 OTA, and couldn't find a PIT file. I'm lucky to tell you i have the PIT file for the note 10.1 GT8010.
I posted this in Development since it seems to be something that everyone needs.
You can download it here:

Awesome, thank you, will download in advance to prevent any future damage.
One question though, the N8020 was released later than the other versions and hence I don't think it ever existed with android 4.0.4.
Are you sure the pit file for N8020 is for 4.0.4, and not for 4.1.1 or 4.1.2?
Once again, thank you!
I not arrive to download from MEGA.
On your signature You have the Dropbox. Can You send it from N8000 by Dropbox please?
Thanks

You can download the original firmware from sammobile. Then you can flash back with odin. a PIT file lets you repartition your filesystem. So no garbage is left. And it can fix bricks.

Hey guys, i need some help here.. my n8010 won't boot neither with stock firmware 4.1.2 from sammobile nor with any other rom.
I think i f*ed it all up when i format everything i could when i was trying to install CM10.2 only to figure in the end that it was meant for n8013 and mine is n8010 :S
So i flashed stock fw via Odin, but it doesn't work..i thought i need the pit file, but i found only 4.0.4 pit file and fw on the net are only 4.1.2, so i think they are not compatible and my Note is still not working..
Anyone can help me with 4.1.2 pit file please?

Try flashing stock 4.0.4 through odin , probably you will get bootloop, flash CWM through odin & try wiping data, cache & dalvik through CWM.

Do a cf-root to get chainfire kernel on it, I believe he has a DXKL1 kernel there, and you will have CWM with CWM Manager 3.0 installed on your phone as well.

Afaik the full wipe part will be performed under the gb kernel as that is flashed before the from, so you'll be fine.

Cm kernels will not work with tw based roms, only with aokp/aosp, and vice versa. You'll have to read up on the kernel pages themselves on which rom types they support.
So flash to gb first, perform full wipe, root and install cwm, then you can install custom kernels and roms from there. Never install from ics kernel, only downgrade to gb to be safe.

the second one after flashing the stock gb can stay on stock kernel or it is unsafe.

Most of the rom files split down into three files but If you place the original tar file into pda, odin sorts out the partitions correctly for you.
All stock gb kernels are safe from emmc superbrick bug, safe to perform wipes.

Hi,
I have the following problem:
I have a S5830L which I've downloaded the Samsung Unbranded Stock ROM GB 2.3.6 for this phone.
The problem is that when I put it on Download mode ODIN detects it BUT when I click on start it stops on "SetupConnection" and after 10 min it shows fail.
The phone is running fine, but It has the carriers ROM and with version 2.3.4, with CWM
How can I flash it via ODIN or another method?
I cannot figure out...
Thanks!

Just check your firmware and baseband. If they're different (like baseband of XXLQB and firmware of DDULP8) then your baseband will get wiped when you flash a ROM. It's happened to me too. To prevent this problem just flash stock firmware through Odin in such a way that the baseband and firmware are the same.:thumbup::thumbup:

I just went back to XXLQ4 or XXLPZ or something (I don't remember) then the baseband and firmware version will be the same and then just flash the ROM you want. I'm not sure if there's an easier way, maybe you can try backing up your EFS folder in stock and one you flash your ROM you can try restoring it.
