FAQ
Q Why a special Q&T Thread for a specific ROM??
A The bigger a ROM development thread gets, the greater the chance that posts are being placed in this thread that are not related to the ROM development itself, e.g. problems with flashing, installation, bugs, things not working etc. However this is understandable, it's not according to the guidelines of XDA for Development sections. Therefore the main goals of the ROM specific Q&T threads is to avoid this cluttering of the original develpment thread with these OT posts by redirecting the posters to the ROM specific Q&T thread and also to relieve the developer from answering these post, so he can dedicate his time to developing.
Q How to move my post to the Q&A/T thread?
A Copy the text of your post in the dev's thread, got to the Q&A/T thread and paste it there. After having done that, go back to the dev's thread, edit your post and change the text into: moved to Q&A/T thread, preferably accompanied with a link to this thread.
Q When I'm asked to move my post to the Q#A/T thread, do I have to do that?
A When you're asked to move your post, there will always be given an explanation by the OP of the Q&A/T, e.g. your post is not development related (f.i. SD card problems, etc), so please be so kind to move your post. If you want to help the dev to keep his original thread as clean as possible from OT posts, then the answer is, of course, YES. Although we cannot force you to move your post, it's highly recommended to do so
Q Where can I download this ROM and How do I install?
A You can find the link to download and installation instructions HERE. Pay close attention to this post, everything required for a successful flash is listed right here. If you fail to follow the instructions or meet the requirements for installation, you could run into some problems.
Q What are the known issues with these ROM's?
A See BUGS in post #1 and mentioned/posted issues in the thread.
Q How’s battery life?
A I see this question asked repeatedly across all ROMS. Honestly there is no way to give you an answer based on a ROM. There are too many variables in question and results vary from user to user and device to device. Battery life is going to depend on age and condition of your battery, your use habits with your device, installed apps, tweaks, settings, etc...
Q How do I...
A Ask your questions and report your issues in this thread. You will receive a response and hopefully get you back up and running this ROM to it's fullest

Explaining the purpose of our Q&A/T threads for specific ROM's to posters.
"Hi dear followers of this ROM,
in this post I will explain the goal of this specific thread created for this ROM with the permission of the Developer of this specific ROM.
This is a statement made in the Q&A/T template thread:
"While our forum has slowly been morphing, the one area we would like to keep original is Development
The goal is to alleviate the OT banter that occurs within any rom. While the XDA forum continues to grow, we need to help users work within the guidelines created by XDA. Over the last couple of years the average rom being created, has become a free for all chat thread. There tends to be much infighting and mod/developer cleaning.
The idea of this template is to create a Questions and Answers for each rom. This is in no way asking for Development to be moved here, rather any and all conversation that is non Development related to your conjoined Q&A."
This means that non-development related posts, should be posted - with the permission of the Dev - in this thread. What are the most common Off Topic posts, that should be posted in this Q&A/T thread?
1. Battery life related posts
2. Will this app work with this ROM
3. SD Card related problems
4. How do I dowmload and install this ROM, etc
Hope to have given you enough information,
kindest regards, Kuzibri

Off topic posts or not?
Hi All Followers of this ROM,
a certain post of a member of one of my Dev's ROM for whom I created a Q&a/T thread set me to think and reconsider what kind of posts is OT or not and how to deal with that.
It is not my intention to be overly strict about what is or is not an OT post, you should decide before you post whether you think it is OT. Consider whether the development of the ROM is helped by your post. Consider also whether someone in the future, searching through the thread, would find your post useful or would it just take up bandwidth.
If there is any doubt as to whether a post is OT, i will not ask you for it to be moved.
If I do decide your post is OT, I will ask you to move it.
If you think it is not OT, please post your reasons in the Q&A thread, quoting post number.
If I or the developer then agree with you, I will delete my post in the dev thread asking you to move it, and the post can stay.
I hope this makes it all clearer.
kindest regards, Kuzibri

And yes I will check md5 and give you my procedure.
Edit:
I didn't use superSU the first few times. I started with adb shell, and when it didn't work went to terminal emulator. When that also didn't work I sideloaded superSU with install to see if that would help.
Procedure:
In TWRP or CWM (tried both)
Format Data
Reboot to recovery
ADB Sideload zip
Let if flash, then reboot
After system starts HTC Setup pops up
Go through HTC Setup (select wifi, connect, enter google account (also done without entering))
Finish Setup and kicked out to Sense Homescreen
---------
Ok I've tried to following methods after the above steps
Method 1:
Plug into computer
adb shell
su (prompt changes to #)
modscript and mods both execute the same
Menu comes up
Select 1,4,6,7,9,11,13,15,19, exit (Clock and launched change, and Google Edition Setup wizard loads - I go through the wizard)
reboot
Restarts and Sense comes up again like nothing changed
Method 2:
./adb install Term.apk
open Term
su (grant permissions)
modscript
Menu comes up
Select 1,4,6,7,9,11,13,15,19, exit (Clock and launched change, and Google Edition Setup wizard loads - I go through the wizard)
close app
power down and restart
comes up with sense.
-------
I would note that after 19 and google setup run. I can use the google phone app, and see the google clock. also the apps and laucher change to reflect GE versions in use. However, all revert after restart

Ask your questions here. Anything you may want to ask you can ask here, as long as it's not about what I'm wearing (Or anyone else for that matter). I dont mind if you ask ETA's. And I'll check this thread often and answer every relevant question I come across.

I would do S-OFF but my hboot 1.54.0000 isn't supported yet. If you go AROMA I will certainly load and let you know. Also, if you have any other tweaks or things you wish me to try just hollar. Thanks for you work and help!

Q What are the known issues with these ROM's?
A Right now there doesn't appear to be any specific issues with this ROM. <----Really??
There are issues depending on what options you choose. For example, If you choose to use the GE Phone, incoming calls have no audio. AOSP lockscreen auto unlocking when a call comes in (Chris from Slim-rom fixed this, but I dont think he remembers how). I'm sure there are plenty more.

Hi,
you're absolutely right!! Forgot to change that one, just copied and pasted it from another Q&A/T Thread, . Thanks for pointing me to this mistake, will change it. My apologies.

I agree guys, there is a very hazy line drawn and no one really knows what is acceptable to post here.
I personally thought that talking about implementing mods into a rom is "development". Now it seems I don't quite know what development is.
And about the post saying thank you, I am sorry that you were singled out like that. I do really appreciate the thanks.
About a week ago I was asked to make an agreement with @kuzibri. The agreement was that he was going to create a Q&A thread for questions of all sorts and keep it clean around here..
Only problem now is that I feel like there is no clear line drawn for what exactly development talk is.
One thing I know about XDA is that you don't argue with the mods. Because it never turns out good.
Oh and by the way, I'm going to update either today or tomorrow. (My days off) so if you have any requests let me know..... I don't know which thread you should post in though... Maybe just the Q&A to be safe.

Only things I would like for you to take a look at, if possible, is maybe add the flashable zip we discussed for the CRT animation to the OP in the ROM thread, and possibly have a look at the Google Phone not being stable for incoming calls (no audio - I think it's a common problem with everyone?) Although that's probably a serious bug, but I live in hope :fingers-crossed:
Other than the Google Phone not working (CRT would be a bonus) I think this ROM is excellent - I've been using it for about 2 weeks now as my driver and can't fault it. Great battery life, rock solid, best features of both systems in one ROM..:good:

hi redbull,
now we are in the Q&A/T thread for this Dev's ROM, I can explain more about the purpose of this thread without being OT. This is the statement of the Q&A/T Thread team:
"Attn: Developers & RC's~
Developers, understanding your time is valuable, we still need to keep our forum to the standards that made us who we are..
While our forum has slowly been morphing, the one area we would like to keep original is Development
This is in no way asking for Development to be moved here, rather any and all conversation that is non Development related to your conjoined Q&A.
It's method is simple. Once created, it will be up to the Developer to place a link in 2 places within the OP of the rom (linking the corresponding ROMs, Q&A in the Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting section) While each Dev may not want to start this, it will be acceptable/encouraged for an RC or any other person you devs feel could run this to the best of the ROMs interest."
So all in all, any post that is non-development related, e.g. makes the ROM of a particular Dev's thread not better, is considered as an OT post and should be posted in this thread.
Hope to have given you now enough background information and also hoping on a more friendly reply,
kindest regards, Kuzibri.

For those who haven't bothered to read the READ THIS BEFORE POSTING announcement by our SiteAdmin Flar, now would be a good time to read it.
A few things you should keep in mind before posting to XDA-Developers forums:
Check if your question has been asked beforeSome questions just keep popping up over and over. Please use the 'search function' in the menu above each and every page in the forum. Try entering a few keywords to see if your question has been asked before. If it has, please read the topics and see if you can figure it our from there. You can also search inside a topic if it has too many comments by using the search function (CTRL+F) in your browser. If you don't find the answer, please post a comment to the relevant thread instead of starting a new one.RTFW, or Read the WikiChances are your question is already answered on the wiki: Make sure you browse through the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) before you start a new topic. If it's an obvious or common question, chances are someone has already put the answer there.ETFW, or Edit the WikiInformation stored in the wiki is dynamic: The wiki makes it easy for anyone to contribute or edit pages, and link them together, it is the best way to keep all information current and accurate. If you ask something in the forum which you didn't find on the wiki previously, please take 5 minutes of your time to EDIT the wiki and add the information there when you get an answer. This is the only way to avoid tons of new threads asking the very same questions over and over and over again.
Don't be afraid of editing the wiki if you don't understand the wiki syntax: Formating may seem a bit complicated at the beginning, but you don't have to care too much if you just want to add content, add it as if you were writing a text document and sure someone more experienced with wiki syntax will edit it after and correct the bad formating mistakes.First time here?If it's your first time here, we encourage you to read general XDA-Developers guidelines too, which is an extended version of what has already been said here.

***WELCOME***
Welcome everyone who has a question, but just can't seem to find an answer. My hope is that this thread will reduced the extremely large number of new threads being created for every little issue each user is having. The rules are very simple. Please follow them, as it's just not that hard.
1) Absolutely NO FLAMING. I am completely inflexible on this rule. If i catch you do it, you will get an xda vacation (will be banned, in case you don't get it). Also, just to be clear, "use the search function" is not an acceptable answer in this thread.
2) Before you post you MUST read THIS. Trust me, I will know if you didn't.
3) Anyone can post any issue they're having with their Dream in this thread, but you MUST include a detailed description of your issue. If after a couple days your issue has not been addressed, please feel free to bump it.
4) Remember you are asking for help, and the as the saying goes "it's easier to catch flies with honey than vinegar. So be nice to those who are helping you.
5) Please quote the person you are replying to, it will make it MUCH easier for people to sort through the many messages that will end up in here.
6) If you find your Question answered, find your original Post and change the font colour of the text into dark green. And at the bottom of the question post either provide a link to the answer or Quote the answer,
This way it can be easier for any moderator to delete Clutter so the thread can be easily searched and read by other users.
This is an experiment based on a suggestion by other users, so we will see how it goes. If all goes well then i hope that this thread will be a great help to many new members. If not then we will make adjustments. I want to thank all those who will be contributing to this forum for their time in advance.
Note: If you feel your thread has been moved here in error, please PM a Moderator politely and ask them to move the related posts back into their own thread. Sometimes the wrong threads get moved here by accident. Please also provide a clear explanation of why you think this topic deserves it's own thread. Angry tirades and rants will be of no use, and will more likely than not simply get you a warning or a ban.

there's one thing i think is flawed about these types of threads on various forums. the thing is, only the people who have questions will go to this thread. nobody is gonna be like 'alright, i'm ready to help some people out, so let me go to this thread and read questions for 20 mins'
that's just my opinion.

There's a whole team of users and Moderators that spend a lot of time answering questions.
Q's
1) How can I add the Dream to the list of avail. devices on my HTC Dev tool?
2) Ever since I reinstalled Vista, I haven't been able to use my SDK. DDMS is not functioning, and USB driver no longer recognizes as Android phone or HTC Dream. (CMD opens, then closes instantly.) I need the Emulator to finish a project, also I cannot take screen shots of work.
3)How do I sign packages in Vista 32bit once they are complete?
4)Is there any alternate method of simulating an SD card for the purpose of development? (like maybe using an actual SD in an SD card reader.)
Thanx.
EDIT: Replies via AIM also welcome.
EDIT: This thread does not appear to be effective.
[Mod Edit: It is becoming more effective]

Sorry I can't answer all your questions but...
2) I had a tough time with the drivers also. What i did was open Device manager while connect to USB. If your drivers aren't working you should see something that says 'Other Devices' or something like that with a warning for incorrect drivers. right click device and uninstall the drivers. Since your old drivers dont seem to be working download them again (if you are using Vista 32 bit then u need x86 drivers) and refresh your devices. You should get something asking you about installing drivers, point Vista to the x86 folder and you should be all set. It should be the same for installing fastboot drivers too
EDIT: Not sure if your new to Vista but to find the command prompt you can type "CMD" in the search index of the start menu and it'll pop up. Just in case you didn't know
4) Im not exactly sure what you mean. What exactly are you trying to do? Make an app or script for SD and G1 using only your comp?

using adb or the terminal/shell on your g1? I only know how to do that from the adb. If you have the apk on ur sdcard already just find it using a file explorer (astro, linda, OI file manager) and click on it. should be able to install from there

I don't have hero but I would try to reflash the rom again. You shouldn't have to wipe since its the same rom. If that doesn't work try downloading a pic frame widget from market

another way I do it when I biffed somehow is using a usb adapter (or regular sd card adapter) to access the micro sd card from the phone, I turn the phone off, remove the card, connect it to my computer, drag and drop the update on the sd card, then Home+Power it on and shazam! it's ready to go!

Well no offense, cuz I used to make this mistake - but is your computer set to "hide extensions of known file types" because it may not be labeled "update.zip" it could be update.zip.zip or something.
just a possible simple solution
[Q] I thinik this goes here
MY QUESTION: When did I get 5 home screens?
It says questions and answers here, so here goes, I have kept my G1 (now an adp running JFv1.51) up to date with the latest radios (until they didn't work right) and roms and love swapping themes when I find a new one I like.
I recently tried to do a theme that I had just found (can't remember which one...) and it loaded, but the phone wouldn't boot right, it got stuck past the G1 screen and before the actual GUI. So, I bailed that theme and loaded another theme (magic). then just yesterday I realized that I could scroll past what I thought was the far right screen for 2 more screens...
So I am wondering if it has to do with a theme that someone added 2 more screens to my phone or if one of the rom updates had it and I missed it in the version history update
Thanks!

Downloads: DRM Protected Content Storage (>400MB?)

Hey guys,
i am using LeoGingerBread 0.8.5. and my nexus downloaded nearly 600-800MB. 440MB via HSDPA - man that sucks -.-
So: the Process is called "Downloads DRM Protected Content Storage"!
As i think its an OTA Update which cannot be installed - and ist restarts after every reboot - sometimes stops, but than starts again.
So, in terms of stopping that s***, i froze "DRM Protected Content Storage" - but it didn't helped.
So i also froze "Downloads" - and i hope that finally helps.
BUT - thats terrible! I dont want to look for that everytime i flash a rom - whats that, and why is this happening?
best regards
debay

Best really to ask they type of ROM-specific question in the ROM thread I think. ROM dev can disable OTA updates...

What? You can post in Q&A but not in Dev based on post count?

[Q] Rom Help for Quasi Newber

Hello Fam! I have a:
Samsung Captivate SGH I897
Currently running :
Cognition, 2.1.7
I'm looking to Change ROM's and I have a couple questions.
1) What is the best Rom for Battery life that has some cool Graffix/annimations
2) Do I have to Flash my Phone back to Stock before I flash a new ROM?
3)I recently Flashed my phone to Darky's 8.1 Somehow i ended up with the I9000 version and it crashed/bricked my phone. I spent 3+ hours restoring a bricked phone. anyone know a fix or a i897 version of this rom??
I liked what I saw of Darky's 8.1 but I need a stable version or a Rom that is Similar.
All help/Suggestions are greatly appreciated

i think he intended to direct you to the second post in that thread (which must have fell under the 10% of that thread that you didn't read..sorry couldn't resist a friendly flame) as you are posting your question in the wrong part of the forum.
Rules for posting in Android Development
* If you have developed a ROM, or are working with others to do so, the development forum is somewhere to discuss and share ideas, post useful feedback and logs or crash dumps, and to discuss a common goal developers are trying to achieve.
* It is NOT the place to post your question because it gets higher traffic, or because more experienced users frequent it. Doing this just annoys those who are working on the device, and drives them away. Developers don't want to wade through 20 threads of "Help me urgently" to find their threads for porting and fixing camera issues etc. Similarly, if a thread is designated as discussion for developers say, porting a camera fix, please do not post in there asking "When will it be ready?", "Can I flash this yet?" etc. This is both completely disrespectful to those working on the project (you evidently haven't read the important posts in the thread), and also is making it harder for developers to find comments from other developers or testers when required.
* Similarly, don't make loads of "Thanks for your work here" posts in an active development thread. It's just as annoying to developers as asking when something will be ready. If a ROM is complete, then go ahead and thank the developer if you wish, but don't go into threads for devs only, and interrupt it to post "thanks". It's basically spamming, and is treated as such.
* If you are posting in development, you should have read every sticky and notice there, and should be actively developing or helping in the development of something. Developing isn't installing a ROM, or using a tweak, it's creating a ROM or other hack or tweak. If you haven't read for several days before starting out on XDA, you are likely about to ask something already solved. I registered on XDA when I first wanted to post, and that was to join in a discussion on something. Sure, join up and ask a question, but read the information available in General and Q&A first, as your question will have been asked before. Search is your friend here, become familiar with it.
* Regarding when to post in development if you are not actually developing something, there is one occasion where it's acceptable. If you find a leak of a new ROM, which isn't already posted, and you verify it's legitimacy via either running it, or based on the source you obtained it from, then this is assisting in development, and should be posted in development. If you want to ask when a leak will be available use search first, then if not already in discussion, open a thread in general or Q&A.
* If you have a problem flashing a ROM, this is NOT related to development. It's up to you to determine if it is specific to a particular ROM, and post useful information in that developer's existing thread for the ROM. If it happens on more than one ROM, and isn't a known issue (remember you should read several times more words than you post), then find out what you are doing wrong. Check guides written by others, try to repeat the problem and see if it happens every time. Something needs to be reproducible to be fixed effectively.
* Once you have identified what you need help with go to the device Q&A forum (general if device lacks one), and make a clear, informative thread that explains the issue, and what you have tried doing to fix it. Did you re-download the ROM? Did you ask a friend to flash it for you, to reduce chance of user error? What steps (exactly) did you follow? What errors did you see (exact wording)? Did you double check all the steps? Did you do a wipe or hard reset?
* If you make a clear, concise, yet detailed post, you will find help forthcoming, and should get the problem sorted very quickly. If someone suggests you try something, report back on what happened, did it work etc. Then, next time someone has this issue and searches, they will find this and have a verified and tested solution.
* So remember... before you start a thread in development, ask yourself what you are developing. If you can't answer, then stop, step away from the post button, and think about where you are posting. Would it be better in General or Q&A, or is some more time with your best friend, search, required?

You should probably familiarize yourself with this as well or your setting yourself up for endless flaming and frustration:
REF] New to XDA? Questions about flashing ROMs? Please read this before posting!
Lately I have seen so many "what rom is best for my first flash" or "Help me decide what rom is best for me" threads and they are POINTLESS! Granted there are an abundance of new and old custom roms, everyone has different experiences and opinions on what rom is best.
So... NOOBS:
If you want to know what rom is best for YOU do the following:
- Go to the Android Development Section and read through different [ROM] threads to see what features will work best for you. I have also found it useful to read through the last couple of pages to see what other users think about the current version of the rom.
- If you don't know what certain terms in the rom thread mean or affect (ie. kernel, modem, OC/UV, Gps tweaks) locate the search bar in the top right corner of the page or browse through this page
- Once you have decided what rom you want to try out, you need to learn how to flash the rom. Most of the Developers post instructions but they can be confusing to some of the less experienced flashers. nbs11 has posted a thread about how to do this here and Connexion2005 was nice enough to make videos of the general steps: Flashing back to stock using odin3 , 3 Part video series for flashing roms: video 1 , video 2 , video 3
- Now that you know how to choose and flash a rom just try out different roms until you find one that you like and gives you all the features you are looking for.
- If you find the theme of a certain rom ugly or obnoxious, head over to the Captivate themes and apps section and look through different [THEME] threads until you find one that you like. Make sure the theme is compatible with the rom you have just flashed or are planning to flash.
- If you accidentally brick your phone, read How to unbrick the captivate or if that doesn't work, Unbrick the captivate for only $0.99
-Some useful links other members have posted:
One-Click Root - root your captivate in one click!
Build #1010 or above flash back to stock
My hopes of this thread are to save the Captivate general section from becoming a section full of useless threads. So if you are new, please use these steps and do the research to find a Rom that is right for YOU!
Cheers,
Alex
*EDIT* As it seems swedishcancerboi is having a hard time using the search function, here are some simple tips to make your searching easier. If you think there is already a thread that has been created containing the information you desire, under "Search by keyword", try changing the drop down box to "Search titles only". Also, try changing the "sort results by" drop down box to "Relevancy". If that still doesn't work do a google search of "xda (whatever you are looking for)" without the quotes.

Nike - Greek word for victory. Also known as a popular brand of shoes.
Nike... Just do it...
Battery life?
Paragon for me on my particular phone
Graphics/animations? Dunno, not into too much eye candy, but there are themes galore available
I always ODIN to stock before I flash a ROM (Haven't tried the AIO yet, but looks interesting)
As for the Darky issue. Flash back to stock and start over.

Thank you Capitan Obvious.
I recommend Serendipidity with the Suckerpunch kernal. I've gotten great battery life with that combo also you can some cool animations to add to Serendipidity from the Serendipidity website. And when changing between completely different roms I usaully flash back to stock and do a master reset with odin
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
i recommend you build a jig or buy one online just in case, since you want to use custom rom.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...25272&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_595wt_1139
Duck and grind HighSun, duck and grind.
If you're still in the look-see stage as far as ROMs, there are a few that are well worth trying.
Paragon (my fav)
Serendipity
di11i's
Firebird (under new management so to speak)
That's my order of excellence but don't take my word for it. Flash what you like from reading whats offered and have fun. Follow the steps listed in each and you shouldn't have any issues. While not necessary to ODIN to stock, it's a good idea to get used to it in case you bork your phone and need to exchange it.
The best battery life i have gotten is with darky's 9.2 rom.
Running darky's 9.2

Ok here goes:
Use the toolbox.
Follow the instructions to the damn letter, nobody but you is responsible for anything that happens to your phone.
Unlock your bootloader, get CWM or TWRP recovery on it ( I prefer CWM but it's pretty much personal preference. )
After you complete these 2 steps, flashing new ROMs and kernels becomes a trivial process.
Once you get that done, copy the latest Vanir build (and optionally; GAPPS package) to your internal or external card, boot into recovery by holding volume down and power button until the LG logo comes up, then let go.
First, wipe data/factory reset, then wipe cache.
Choose install zip from SD card, then choose sd card or external sd card depending on where you put it, navigate to the folder and select it, flash it.
Follow the same procedure for the GAPPS package.
Press back until you hit the main menu, and select reboot system.
It will take longer to boot for the first time, it speeds up after that.
Congratulations, you should now be running Vanir.

The OP has been a member for almost as long as you have. I treated him with courtesy and was polite. The best thing we can do with new members is make them search and read so that they understand what they need to do and why.
When I joined I didn't ask stupid questions - I searched, read and learnt because with my HTC DS if I got it wrong I would have hard-bricked the phone and not been able to fix it.
XDA is not a helpdesk for noobs, that needs to be remembered in the middle of all the social correctness that is now going on. If people are too lazy to try and help themselves they deserve nothing, just as in real life.

This place is becoming full of people who claim to have searched - when they simply have NOT. If they can't afford to risk their phone because they need it every day then they should either be certain what they need to do - through searching, reading and learning - or they should not risk their phone.
I repeat "XDA is NOT a helpdesk for noobs". For the OP to tell me to "learn how to respect people" - what does he think I have done over the last couple of years? The answer to his question was out there simple to find if the OP wasn't so lazy. If he doesn't have time to search and read then the same basic rule applies - he doesn't have the time to risk damaging his phone.
FFS people - it's not rocket science and it's not difficult. We don't need yet another tutorial for people to read - because they will continue to be lazy and refuse to search and read. In 6 months time you will still be replying to the same basic questions just because human nature dictates that 90% of the members who sign up here expect to be given the answers without having to do any work themselves.

1) Reported for WHAT exactly?
2) I'm 2.5 times your age - so you might wish to reconsider and redefine some of your terms of reference.
3) Using big red letters doesn't make you look any more impressive.
4) FWIW I don't actually have a problem with you - other than the fact that you seem to be determined to assist in this stupid belief that anybody should simply be able to sign up to this site, ask stupid questions without bothering to help themselves, and not contribute anything at all. You seem to be intelligent, switched-on and a lot better at developing than I have ever been.
Since the OP's question has been answered....

Google Play Store unable to download apps

So a few days ago I was on Orange Fox Recovery. I flashed Havoc OS ROM and I flashed Gapps. I rebooted back to system and my device was fine until I couldn't press the Home button and Tab button on the navigation bar. I also couldn't download apps on the Google Play Store (as in when I pressed the install button, it carried on saying "waiting for download"). I wonder if this is something to do with the Gapps I flashed it was the pico version. I'm back on MIUI but I'm just wondering what could've been the problem?

You seem new to the xda community, but that's not a problem, everyone has to start somewhere ! A few suggestions :
1- You have posted in the wrong section of this device as per xda rules; you should post in the Q&A section for people to reply to your queries, since this is the development section.
2- Provide helpful info about your device and which software version (base vendor, Miui version, Gapp log from SD card, lastrecoverylog.log, etc.) is installed. If you don't know how, ask there too.
3- Deleteing the post will help keep the section clean, Do your part ! Ask there and I will try to help you, although I am no expert. :highfive:

Two ways:
1. Pm a moderator about it. Or
2. Report your own post and write that you want to delete it. Simple really, just not doable on the xda app as far as I know. So use a browser to do that.
