Just installed Paragon RC5.0 on my capitivate. Install went smooth, everything is pretty and the backups restored. Im only running into one issue. I cannot get the screen to turn to the side when holding it horizontally.
I was having this problem last night when i was having issues with my backups. I did something to where i could get it it to turn and thought all was well. I reinstalled the ROM because titanium backup over wrote a few programs that were on the ROM and was more careful about the next restore. No matter what i do i cannot get the screen to move to any other position now.
Tried reading through the 200 page super thread on the ROM, but was unsuccessful at finding any information.
Running same rom not having that issue.
Maybe try reinstalling rom then are if it works before youdo anything with titanium
try to do a master clear first.
Did the Master clear with odin following instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731989
Rerooted, re installed paragon. Tilting works now, havent touched titanium backup yet. Lets see how restoring things affects it
Tilt was working. Used titanium backup to manually select a few things to restore, like contacts and a few other things. Then used batch to restore all missing programs, I made sure to go down the list and only select specific programs i wanted back. Rebooted my phone and now tilting doesnt work anymore.....
Was frustrated with Paragon so I master cleared again and installed Serendipity 5.3. Everything working fine and well, tilting worked. I click 2 apps on the phone(market and maps :/) and tilt hast worked after that. Is this a comon problem with ROMs?
So you are saying that your auto rotate after you opened maps and or the market?
No that is not normal
After installing the Rom i let it sit for 5 minutes, opened messaging and rotated it and it worked, opened a new message and went to the keyboard and it worked. I open up the camera, and then tried to put in my market info and the screen wouldnt rotate, along with everything else now. No backups or anything this time. 2nd ROM in a row to do this for no reason. I'm thinking about going back to stock lol
I do not use my auto rotate but I have not heard a problem like yours before. Sorry, I got nothing
Apparently Serendipity 5.3 and paragon has an icon on the pull down menu i mistook for the sync icon thats on the stock ROM( i think thats what it is, i always had it off and it never affected anything). An infuriating little feature when not understood.
Facepalm
So you are cursing at your phone and you had turned the feature off? Live and learn
Yea, when i finally figured it out i felt really dumb. Although, in the frustration caused by this stupid mistake I can now master clear, root, and flash my phone in my sleep haha
Problems with Paragon RC5 ROM
After i flashed the rom, my captivate went to the first boot image and got stuck. My phone has been like that for a couple of hours. is there a way i can flash back to the stock rom or fix this problem? I have tried to reboot into recovery but my phone wont get past the first boot image. PLZ HELP!!!! P.S. I forgot to master clear before flashing rom and I used rom manager to flash the rom. I was running darky's rom b4 trying to flash this one.

Can you get into download mode?
how would I do that?
Turn phone off
Take out sim, ext sd, battery
Have usb hooked to pc but not phone
Put battery back in
Hold volume up and down while plugging in usb
Phone should go to a screen with an android with a shovel
If you can do this and have a windows pc I can get you back up and running pretty easy
ok i did that and it went into download mode
Do you have a windows pc?
Have you installed the usb drivers for this phone?
What is your build number of your phone, located under battery something like 1008?
yes i have a windows pc and the drivers and my build number is 0168 i guess
No that its not your build
You do have a captivate right?
Under battery anything from 1006-1012
i rooted my droid 3 and changed the battery icon and notification panel backround installed mavrom it was giving me lots of errors so i did a factory reset i think it failed now the phone starts but if i open any apps except the phone app or the stock messaging app the phone restarts and any apps i have are gone but the changes to the notification bar are still there i have tried every recovery method i can find and nothing can fix it can nayone help?

did a whipe and what was on the link dident fix it when i use rsd lite it gets to 3/18 and fails
What recovery are you using?
stock recovery cant get any other ones to work
Try this. Follow the directions in the OP. It'll take about 5 mins to get back to a box stock D3.

went to the link downloaded it, flashed it everything went good then phone restarts and everything is back to stock except the things i changed with rom manager and still resets everytime my phone turns off

Then ROM Manager is clearly the issue. That link gets you to box stock software. I'm not a fan of RM because I feel that unless 110% understood, it can cause way more headaches than it fixes. What do you use it for? What changes did you make after flashing to stock?
used rom manager to change battery icon 3g icon signal icon and the notification bar backround
I don't think that MavROM is compatible with Rom Manager tweaks. I believe that they only work with CM based ROMs. Try reflashing to stock, rerooting, and reROMing it. Don't make the changes and see if the issues persist.
i tried reflashing to stock like 10 times and it never fully goes back to stock
How about going to cwm through odin and deleting your catch data and your delv catch. I had the same issue when reverting back to stock ( it wasnt fully there) but when i erased all the data and delv catch it reverted to the stock rom properly. Just a thought

Well, the previous is strange, because I've used that to recover from all different causes of bricks and bootloops and reboots and etc. All took me back to box stock software...
Anyways, I would flash back to stock-ish with it, re-root, install CWM, boot into recovery, and then wipe /system /data /cache /dalvik cache.
Using X + Power then VOL Up + Down, you can get into stock recovery and wipe data and cache. This puzzles me though, because that quick SBF wipes data, system, and cache.
Just for my curiosity, what ISN'T stock after the quick unbrick method?

Oops, bumped Thanks trying to quote this. When the DOS-looking window prompts you to press any key to exit, and I'm assuming you do, do you let the phone go through it's process where the yellow bar inches across the screen and completes the reset?

Are you sure you have the latest drivers installed? Head over to that thread one more time, re-download the quick unbrick, boot up with M + Power, select AP Fastboot, open the shortcut for "CLICK HERE - Something something something", allow it to go through it's 20 or so lines of actions, and when it says to press any key to exit, do so. Now just let the phone sit there while still plugged in (IIRC, this is what I did last time). If this all fails to return you to stock settings... 1. I'll be surprised 2. I'll nand backup mine and make a video for you of quick unbricking mine and everything it does.
If it does work, please don't change things in ROM Manager, IIRC, those tweaks are only for CM based ROMs, and not Mav.
Hello,
I attempted to flash Trickdroid on my Sprint HTC one. I went through all the steps in the Aroma installer and it froze on 10%. I did rebooted back into recovery, did a full wipe attempted restore one of the two nandroid backups I made. After the restore, I would get a blank screen. All that was there was the Status bar. The phone would then reboot. I rebooted into recovery, did restore and cache wipe, and was able to install trickdroid. Now I am experiencing the same issue, a blank screen with just the status bar at the top, then it reboots itself. Is there a way I can fix this?? I'm stumped
Does anyone think this could be a kernel issue? I think it's strange that it would be booting to a blank screen after a nandroid restore. I noticed when I tried reinstalling trickdroid, it gave me an error when installing the kernel. I'm currently downloading a different ROM to try side loading in ADB, I'm also fine with going back to stock, but everyone is saying the stock RUU's arent available. Any help is appreciated. I hope I didn't just brick my new phone.
Here is what my screen looks like when I boot. It only shows reception bars, time and battery %. Everything else is black and it reboots as soon as the screen times out. This is after re-installing trickdroid. If I factory reset, it will show the lock screen but as soon as I unlock or let it sit it will bootloop. If I try to do a nandroid recovery, it does the same thing, but I am able to get to the drop down and go to settings. It will then reboot itself after about a minute.

still softbricked
Ahhh! this is getting really annoying and I am starting to freak out!!.
Still getting softbrick black screen followed by automatic reboot
1. tried nandroid backup one
2. tried nandroid backup two
2. erase cache, factory rest-blank screen
3. tried reinstalling trickdroid-blank screen,
4. erase cache, factory reset-side load android revolutrion- AROMA freezes
5 had to reflash recovery because couldn't access even after fastboot erase cache
6. adb sideloaded Android revolution, after install phone got stuck in fastboot,
7. tried erase cache, still stuck in fastboot. Won't boot into anything else...
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OR CONFIRM I AM ON THE RIGHT TRACK!!!!!!!
Even though both trickdroid and android revolution both say all phone variants are supported, apparently this doesn't mean sprint There is an entire section for Sprint HTC one. For anyone else who has this issue, the RUU was found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250904&highlight=ruu . I am up an running again! For all of you who replied, thanks for the help through this mini crisis I just had I guess that's what I get for being a XDA member for 3 years and never submitting a single post.
Okay so not quite sure what happened...
I have the HTC One (Sprint)
I rooted with Superuser
Installed Clockwork Recovery
Made a backup with Clockwork recovery
Cleared all the required data through Clockwork
(This is where I think I went wrong, not sure though)
I flashed over Revolution HD not knowing it was for all, except Sprint..it never booted up into anything just remained in the bootloader.
I then Flashed back the recovery from Clockworkmod and when it finished booting basically it was all screwed up. No service or data, no apps, just a black screen with my notification bar and I could access my settings but half of them were greyed out.
I then tried flashing over ViperRom and CleanRom all of which did the same thing. Booted up but with a black screen, notification bar, and settings..
I would think that the HD revolutionRom screwed it up, but it never really did anything except stay in the bootloader area.
I can still access Fastboot and I can still put different roms on it.
Is there an obvious step I screwed up on? and If I just lock the bootloader again and try to put stock on will that get me back to normal?
lol, I've looked into doing roms so many times and this just happened to be my first try...
Any help is appreciated...

Thanks man, that worked!
Here goes nothing. I have an HTC One m7 unlocked and rooted. Im not sure what happened but I know when it happened. I was trying to install viperone 6.2.1 and it failed and the installer suggested flasing the latest TWRP and try again. I hit ok and my phone rebooted straight to the bootloader. I tried a reboot- straight to bootloader. I tried to go into recovery- straight to bootloader. I tried factory reset- straight to bootloader. I only had access to the bootloader. I eventually found Hasoon2000s All One Tool and flashed a recovery. Made sure I had the latest TWRP and tried viperone again. It installed correctly and I rebooted. Once it loads all I get is a lock screen that I can unlock then a white screen that says htc. It will then force restart and the same thing happens again. Next I tried Paranoid Android. It loads fully but will force restart after a few minutes. I quickly looked at my phone status inbetween restarts and everything network, mobile network type, service state, imei, imei sv are all unknown. Basically no service. Next I flashed the latest CWM recovery. I installed the latest MIUI rom. It installed and during set-up it tried looking for my SIM card and force restarts. It will re-boot and go right back to searching for the SIM card. Rinse and repeat. Next I downloaded CM11 and installed that. Thankfully that does not force restart at all but my phone status is still all unknown. So I go into networks and try mobile plan and it asks for my SIM card which is installed. Then I try mobile network settings/ network operators look for available networks and I get "error while searching for networks". I forgot to mention all the Roms had to be pushed through with adb. Does anyone have a clue as to what I might have done or how I can fix it?
Try flashing a Stock RUU

Try flashing a stock RUU, everything should work fine after wards. You could try to update later on.
Try downloading this (Sprint_HTC_One_m7wls_1.29.651.10_RUU.zip) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586704
I take it you're S-Off so follow step 3(a)
If not 3(b) then 3(a).

Ok well I flashed a stock rom and its doing the same thing as ViperOne. It loads and I can see the the lock screen and it will bring up the power menu if I hold down the power button. I still get the white screen with htc on it as my "background" but thats all i see. And as before it goes into a reboot cycle after a minute or so.
Meh

Flashing a "stock rom" is not flashing the RUU -- RUU and then tell us what happened (unless you really meant you actually RUU'd, not merely flashed).
If that' fails, you'll have to back of and get CM 10.1 running, that almost always fixes things.
Actually just re-read that
Flashing a ROM is completely different from flashing a RUU.
Also are you getting a dialer error when you're on that htc splash screen?
Also, yay senior member on thread.

You were installing ViperOne 6.2.1? It could be that that's what screwed you over. IIRC, Viper OTAs are Delta. The latest full ROM is 6.2.0. That is, what you flashed was an update, not a ROM. But whatever.
And as tdhite said, flashing a ROM is not the same as completely bringing your phone back to stock with the RUU tool. Do that please.
