[Q] Back to Stock

Yeah I was kinda stupid I didn't bother keeping a copy of the stock ROM when I started flashing...
What are the steps I need to follow to revert back to stock...yeah there are threads here but I'd like a simple 1., 2., 3. method...
I know I have to flash an RUU but how can I actually know which one? Things like these are holding me back...

first of all find your CID number
fastboot getvar all
or try to make a gold card, and you can flash allmost any RUU(try a more recent one)

I guess RUU.exe-> S-on -> as stock as it can be?

CID ..where can I get that? Abt phone? And O can flash ANY RUU? So if my phone an Asian English Version stock i can flash a European RUU now? Thx.

Hi,
I have a question regarding RUU and CID number. I managed to get my cid number via terminal emulator and typing getprop ro.cid and I got back the number 102. How do I know which RUU to use?

I figured out that my phone is htc-ger but I can't find RUU for it. Can someone help.

Use either 3.08.405.x or 3.11.405.x.

If I'm not concerned with warranty...I'd just like Stock back...does it matter which RUU I choose? For example I had an Asian-English version Stock...can I flash a European one now?

Yeah thanks, What version of GB can i flash for my phone.
CID is on the first post.
Update--
I made a goldcard with the guide posted here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1104226
and used it. I inserted the card and flashed the rom but it did not work.

Google the ruu that you want to download with your ro.carrier (e.g. HTC_SEA_WWE_Asia)

This Chinese site seems to has RUU for 1.29.707.3, but I don't know how to read Chinese and create account to download it??

Why do you want an old Chinese ROM? The XXX.16 ROMs are newer (707 is the region).

Folks,
I know it is an old rom, but I need this RUU as my phone comaes with this version.
I need a copy of it so that I can get back to stock easily when I need to even though I have a Nandroid backup of it before running ARHD.
Anyone could help to download?

I can't seem to find the thread to download the stock Hboot for tmobile US. I'M TRYIng to s on and can't find good instructions...any thoughts I don't want to miss something and brick my device...thanks

what you posted is the OTA (18mb only) not RUU, besides stock Hboot comes with the stock RUU

Handman, I used the guide you posted on my thread in the T-mo forum to supercid to 11111111, flash the factory hboot from that page, then change the cid back to T-mo. In my case it was T-MOB010. Worked like a charm.

no need to re-lock. use the Google edition firmware found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2365506
and you can try all GE rom

You want the one labeled 3.06.1700.10. That is the one that matches the latest GE 4.3 dump. More info including the entire dump and full conversion can be found here:

You can't flash custom firmware if you are s-on but you can still flash custom roms

As I said earlier you can't flash custom firmware but you can still flash roms..... If you want to flash a GE custom rom than you can do that without needing to change/update your firmware.
