Can't do much about the camera but if you're rooted try installing Button Savior from the Play Store to get a home button alternative.

hi all,just got a gt s6500 for my son. Replaced the LCD screen which was broken,replaced the touch screen as well,put the phone back together,phone boots up normally ,but nothing happens when you touch the screen. No response from it at all. i am now out of ideas how to get the phone to work. Anyone with any idea how to get it up and running again . Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks for your time.
Maybe u need other drivers for the new touch screen, but i dont know how u can install drivers at android?

I'd recommend to check if the touchscreen you replaced with, is a faulty one or not.
Or maybe the reason would be about the connections. Just open the phone and reconnect the pins and try again. If still doesn't work, try my first point.

Which rom? Can you explain better?
is our original samsung rom. I do not remember what version. the software was not anything done. everything works perfect only as there is no backlight screen

So, it's better to go where you replace it & talk to the seller. Are you sure you don't change any option (remember that people do crazy stuff in the last night of the year:laugh:).

They manage to work with sometimes but rarely, I had already different roms and the phone was on and still nothing. Motherboard and the camera itself are efficient because it said service. Now I have a rom "Carbon_Janice_KK-4.4.2_Build8" are any suggestions.

Flash stock JB with Odin and see if it works there. Do factory reset. If that do not work, then probably it is not about software.

I did as you wrote and so much still does not work while the front already working. Or maybe rear camera broke down as front acts motherboard is rather good?

I am not sure, you better go to service centre. If you did factory reset too, then probably it is not software problem.

Have you already tried a third party camera app? If they found a problem as you mentioned above means it was exactly what was said by the @shut_down
I recently rooted my xperia z1 using the easy root method without installing any custom recovery. So now im on stock 4.4.4 build ___.157 and i recently realized that my camera button is not working anymore. That is to say that whenever i press it just nothing happens. Even when the stock camera app is on, the button doesn't click anything let alone focusing. This happens in all the camera addons. The only root apps i have installed right now are root checker pro and xposed framework (modules: advanced power menu, full acess sd kitkat). Please help me through this. Also, this is my first android phone and my first time rooting it. Please help. Thanks.
Is it focusing alone and doesn't do the click sound? I think your camera button is broken.

I think I already mentioned that it is neither focusing nor clicking anything. It's just lying there like a plastic show piece and nothing happens when I click it. Also my phone is only 10 months old and this problem has started only after I rooted my phone.

Sorry, my mistake. I am very curious to know what happened to that button, your best bet is to unroot and send to service center if its in warranty. But rooting won't damage hardware parts as far as I know.

Yeah that's what I've been having a hard time understanding too. But how come it stooped working right after rooting? I guess I'll have to repair it.. No other choice left I'm really disappointed with this situation plus there's no diagnostic test for such a situation too now. It's saddening!
I hope your device gets repaired as soon as possible. :/

i just bought my nokia x2 and i root it with Nokia X2 Tools (from allnokia)
At first it didnt show any problem but after a few days i get this vibrating screen when some one calls me.
i tried factory reset and it works and the problem gone. but after rooting my device again this problem came back
i need my device to be rooted and still not having this problem. any solution guys?
i will be appreciated if you help me with that.

Its Software issue..
You ca try doing factory reset..
If that Doesnot help then you need to reinstall the software..
You can Reinstall Software By Using Lumia Software Recovery tool..OR you can go to Nokia care Centre...

Check your developer settings buddy... Under animations menu
Increase them and see if it works
