My phone is stuck in the bootloader screen with the following "TAMPERED" "RELOCK". I have no OS or No recovery.. I realize at this point i have to use fastboot and not SDK/ADB to push anything to my device... Doing it that way tells me my device is not found. I use fastboot commands and receive "cannot load flash" or "error: cannot load recovery.img" or
C:\fastboot>fastboot boot TWRPG.img
downloading 'boot.img'... OKAY
booting... FAILED (remote: not allowed)..
Most likely i'm probably using the wrong commands... I'm about to just take it back... Can anyone tell me if the phone is still saveable or not at this stage in it's life or is there something I'm really doing wrong here? (3 days)

your bootloader says relocked?? If so you need to unlock it again to flash anything to the device.

You have to unlock the bootloader again. That will allow you to flash boot.img or recovery.img
Man, all that time with you today and you were locked! I thought you said you were unlocked. Doh!
Yeah, like the guys above me said, you need to unlock your bootloader again before you can flash anything.
Oh wow.. really.. Is it even possible to unlock bootloader at this stage? I'm unable to achieve anything else thus so far...

Yes, if that is the right command, and the correct unlock code.
Then you would need to flash a custom recovery and then your Rom.

WTF... That ish worked like a charm... LOL... I got trwp recovery now too...
I did a ADB sideload custom ROM, worked like a charm.. Now, my only problem, i think, is It still says "TAMPERED" but "unlocked", plus I'm S-On.. Now in order to get rid of the "TAMPERED", do I'd have to go back to my stock ROM, which i don't see any, but i do have a Nandroid backup of my stock ROM, and will that work if i need to go back to stock to remove TAMPERED? Or i can use Revone to just S-Off, then possibly use it again to get rid of "TAMPERED"?
Sweet. Glad your back up.
Yes, in order to get rid of the tampered flag plus many other reasons including making it much easier to return to stock if needed, you should use revone to S-off and keep s-off unless you need to return the device.

This is the latest hboot from HTC for the DINC that allows the bootloader to be OEM unlocked.

2. Run RUU(make sure to use the HTC drivers or RUU wont work)
3. Use htc dev process to oem unlock bootloader
4. Enjoy pwnage of ur DINC
P.S. I have attached the PB31IMG.zip for those who dont kno how to RUU
Question (anyone)?
If you are already S-off, rooted, and using the .92 bootloader, will flashing the zip cause a loss of S-off, or any other disasters?
Considering giving it a shot, but don't want to spend the evening rerooting or getting into something I can't get back out of.
Input welcome...

OK flashed it fine. Now, I see that the unlocking process wipes the phone clean. Will I still be able to boot into CWM recovery and restore a nand backup? Or will I have to reflash CWM 5.0.2.0?
Edit: I'll still be S-off, right?

Actually I think the wipe process with unlocking fails if you're on CWM. I didn't lose CWM or data when I did it.
Yes. I still am S-OFF when I did it rooted.
But you may not need this unlocked bootloader as you can already flash radios and recoveries from the bootloader (HBOOT) and kernels, ROMs and recoveries from CWM with s-off alone.
I got it just so I could use fastboot to flash kernels which if you flash with fastboot on this device you may need to still manually push the corresponding wifi module if the version string changes - not necessarily each time you switch kernels either. For my gingersense kernels that would only be if you switch between gingertiny 2.6.35.10, gingertiny-v2 2.6.35.13 and gingertiny-2.6.35.14. For incredikernel that may be quite different.
Sorry, I'm rambiling and should be asleep but just so hyper.
Yeah, I know it wasn't needed. But I felt it had to be done. Anyhow, something got wiped, cause it hung on the boot screen forever. Finally pulled the battery, booted into recovery, and restored my fresh backup. 1.02 bootloader, unlocked, and up and running again.
Thanks for all the help. I see you edited your post about the same time I was banging away in command prompt. All my SDK tools were scattered around and needed updating, which stretched it out. Once again, that feeling you get when something works despite your best efforts.
Thanks+

Not sure about flashing a newer recovery through fastboot.....but you can also download rom manager from the market and update your cwm that way....
The Bootloader
can you update the hboot while running a custom rom without bricking.

How are you trying to flash it? You just take this file http://dinc.does-it.net/Recoveries/CWM_5.0.2.0/PB31IMG.zip, and place it on your sdcard in no folders. Then boot to hboot and wait a few secs. It should automaticly find the file and prompt you to press vol up to update.
Fastboot flashing images wont work unless your bootloader in unlocked.
Edit: Didnt realize this post was so old.

Yes you can as long as your s-off. This thread is actually old and a newer version hboot 1.07
DOWNLOAD: http://dinc.does-it.net/Hboots/Hboot_1.07/PB31IMG.zip
MD5: http://dinc.does-it.net/Hboots/Hboot_1.07/PB31IMG.zip.md5 has been released. However if your s-off there is no need to update, as you can already flash thru hboot. The only advantage is being able to fastboot flash imgs.
If you s-on the only way to update is to do an ruu, which will wipe the phone and require you to reroot and flash a backup.

A great start would be to check the other 15,000 threads covering this subject.
Is there a question in there somewhere?

I think he is asking about what he will need to do if he needs to return to stock for a phone return/exchange.
brockyneo,
Since you are s-off you can reset everything needed before returning the phone if needed.
However since there is no RUU for your device, it will be a little harder than just re-installing a stock rom. Since you flashed a modified hboot you will need to reset all your sytem stuff back like hboot, splash screen, recovery, etc before you can relock the phone so it looks the same as it did out of the box.
I won't go into all the steps needed, but just know if you need to go back to stock there are many threads here that detail how to do so.
Just keep your bootloader unlocked and keep s-off until you need to return/exchange the device.
If you haven't flashed a custom recovery yet, do:
fastboot boot customrecovery.img
And do a backup. This will backup stock ROM and recovery. There is no 3 RUU and probably never will be, I don't know what their deal is..
Then to go back to stock, restore your backup, flash your recovery.img from your backup, change your CID back to original, flash a STOCK hboot, and last use Revone to lock the bootloader and then do s-on.
EDIT : just noticed on another thread you said you were running TrickDroid - disregard my post..

What have you been using to unlock/lock your bootloader? HTC-Dev? This is just a guess - probably wrong, but you may need to ask for a newer unlock token and try again?
You have to go back and request a new token at htcdev.
FYI -once your bootloader is unlocked and you have s-off, KEEP IT THAT WAY. There is not really a reason to keep flipping, only if you need to return/exchange the phone.
Bootloader should not have an effect on ADB sideload. I'm unlocked and I use that all the time. If you have an issue with sideloading or something else, just post about it and someone will help, but you shouldn't need to flip your bootloader.

How exactly did the computer glitch? Calm down, if you can get into the bootloader which I assume you can (as you can see the tampered etc tags) then it's still salvageable. As the person above asked, do you have s-off?

nope still got it to work though. was very shocked. bootloader worked, was locked, and s-on. could not do ruu so i found a stock rom i ran it once got a security issue then manually typed it in something like fastboot flash image XXX.zip and got another thing 12 security signature or something other, ran it again imediatelly <did not close command prompt and left phone with the htc emblem on there> with the same command and surprisingly it worked!

I am trying to unlock the bootloader on my HTC One. I've gotten to Step 12 on the HTC Dev's Unlocking Bootloader Instructions and recieve the below error when trying to flash Unlock_code.bin.

I got "RUU_Shooter_S_Sprint_WWE_2.17.651.5_Radio_1.06.00.1216_NV_NV_spcs_1.42_release_233304_signed"
Would there be any issues using the RUU to go to this image version, unlocking my bootloader, and then upgrading back to 3.04 (the image my phone is currently on)?
Often people manage to copy paste the number with an extra space or carriage return. That breaks it in this fashion.
Using the same unlock code I was able to get it to work in a different folder. Blew my mind.

Try like this. First check fastboot is working with
Code:
fastboot devices
You should get an output displaying your devices serial no.
Now type the first part of the command leaving a space on the end
Code:
fastboot flash unlocktoken
Then drag and drop the Unlock_code.bin in to the command window to automatically complete the command with the full file path. And hit enter

I am trying to unlock the bootloader on my HTC One. I've gotten to Step 12 on the HTC Dev's Unlocking Bootloader Instructions and recieve the below error when trying to flash Unlock_code.bin.
FAILED (remote: unlock token check failed)
Has anyone experienced this? I can't seem to find any answers relevant to the HTC One. I read somewhere that you can run the RUU and then try to flash the Unlock code. What version of the RUU would I use? My HBOOT is v1.55 if that makes any difference.
Thanks for the help,
A Frustrated HTC One User

FYI
Changing your CID requires S-OFF, chances is that if the OP would have S-OFF, he would already have an unlocked bootloader...
SuperCID and bootloader unlock aren't related at all.

Yep... after all, it looks like this guy wasn't that late when compared to our friend above
Hi Guys
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I have an Australian unbranded HTC one (for which no known RUU seem to be floating around). I'm S-on with Hboot 1.54. And was hoping to use the Rumrunner exploit to S-off
I've previously had the bootloader unlocked and relocked it again. However since I've taken an OTA I've been unable to unlock the bootloader again using the method on HTC dev.
The unlock_code.bin is pushed (although says 0kB) and it is checked successfully. However then nothing happens. No screen to ask if you want to unlock the bootloader.
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions?
Cheers
What's the command you're typing in to unlock it? It should be:
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin

Yep thats the command I've used. As I said that command pushes the unlock_code.bin. The check is successful.
Its just that nothing happens after that. No do you want to continue unlocking the bootloader screen. The phone sits there in fastboot doing nothing....
You have to type it exactly as I posted it as it's case sensitive. Copy and paste the command and try again (make sure you've not changed the name of the token either)

Yep I have copied and pasted. I have not renamed the .bin. I have also tried using Hasoon2000's all in one tool kit as well. As I said the unlock_bin is pushed. It passes the check but nothing happens after that.

Try doing a factory reset, and then try the unlock again.
You could also try what fadimanansala said about a different folder, it worked for this guy: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2491013

that really doesn't make any sense why it's not working.
I'm pretty sure you are, but are you sure you're copy/pasting the entire identifier code including the top and bottom line (the ones that start and end with <<<<< and >>>>>)
Also check SETTINGS->POWER->Fast boot should be disabled
and SETTINGS->DEVELOPER OPTIONS->USB Debugging should be enabled.
I would try (yet again) factory reset, get identifier, submit to HTCdev for Unlock code, and finally try it.
If that doesn't work, I really don't know what could be causing it.
EDIT: just out of curiosity, have you tried "fastboot oem unlock"

One last thing I thought about, if the above doesn't work is try locking it again; maybe it's stuck somewhere half way in between. maybe locking it again "fastboot oem lock" and then trying again could release whatever is hanging.
Good luck

Gave those both a try.
I got a command error when running fastboot oem unlock, and I got a message saying device is already locked when running fastboot oem lock.
Any other ideas, its a bit of a mystery to me
