[Q] Getting back to stock, flashing custom rom - hboot 1.54 question - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello mates.
Well i'm fresh owner of HTC ONE 801n ( Eastern Europe ), but i bought it from second hand.
Now it's on Trickdroid 8.0, S-off, Cid = 11111111, Bootloader unlocked, and hboot 1.54.
Now please tell me,
1 - if i would want to bring it back to stock ( warranty purposes )
will this guide be ok ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358738
( i have doubts about hboot, and cid, i know what cid should i write but still... )
2 - if i would want to flash other rom, does the hboot 1.54 wouldn't brick my phone?
3 - i read about this hboot 1.54 and it get me confused, what exactly i shouldn't do with such configuration of phone as above and hboot 1.54?
Thank you for all the answers and tips.

Do you have S-OFF? If you don't have S-OFF and you have hboot 1.54.0000 then you can't run any RUU to go back to stock.

You need the exact one for your phone/region if you are S-On. Also, you can't downgrade your Hboot when you're S-On. I suspect you are on Hboot 1.54 seeing as you want to downgrade? Well you can't as you couldn't even go S-Off on that Hboot unless you had S-Off before you upgraded.
In a nutshell, you're stuck with what you have until somebody finds a way to go S-Off on Hboot 1.54 ... Why on earth do you want to downgrade anyways

You can't run an RUU though, other than the one made for your model/region and it has to be the same as the version you are on, or newer. To run an RUU that is an earlier version than what you're on requires you to be S-Off I believe and if you're on 1.54 then there isn't currently a way to get S-Off.

[Q] About 1.54 to 1.44 hboot

Hello everyone,
my phone statement is;
1.54 hboot, S-ON, HTC Unlocked, 2.24.401.x FW.
I just found local service in my city for s-off on 1.54 hboot via javacard. I will use that service. And i have questions:
after getting s-off on 1.54;
- How can i downgrade hboot to 1.44? RUU is enough for this?
- Is there a any other method?
- Is Nandroid backups contain hboot part?
- Can i write super CID on 1.54 S-OFF?
- Can i delete "Tempered" flag when i gain s-off on hboot 1.54?
Thank you,

- How can i downgrade hboot to 1.44? RUU is enough for this? (A 1.29.x or any RUU with hboot 1.44 will suffice)
- Is there a any other method? (You can flash a 1.44 hboot manually without any RUU)
- Is Nandroid backups contain hboot part? (No)
- Can i write super CID on 1.54 S-OFF? (Yes)
- Can i delete "Tempered" flag when i gain s-off on hboot 1.54? (Yes with revone if it works)

Well to start off at the moment you can't s-off on hboot 1.54 at the moment that is after it is available till would be able to flash any hboot so you would be able to go completely stock

So you're going to pay for S-Off and then intentionally get rid of S-Off, and then upgrade, preventing you from gaining S-Off without paying again?
You know, it's probably best to leave it S-Off.
The OTA doesn't remove S-OFF, I went from 1.44 to 1.54 with no issues

HTC One T-MOB101 how to revert it back to stock?

I have a T-MOB101 (Germany device HTC One), and i would like to revert it back to stock and sell it.
Read all the guides here at XDA, but couldn't achieve it.
My device now is:
HBOOT 1.54.00
S-Off with SuperCID 11111111
Unlocked bootloader
ARHD 13.4 rom
There isn't any RUU for T-MOB101. I found a CWM stock Nandroid backup but for some reason CWM can't install it.
I've installed the odexed 2.24.401.1 stock rom, reverted the CID back to T-MOB101, locked the Bootloader but now it says RELOCKED instead of LOCKED. And couldn't make it S-On maybe because of the HBOOT 1.54.00?
Please, help me, i would like to sell the device and the future owner don't have any issues with the warranty.
So, unlock your bootloader, go here, download the 1.44 hboot and flash it with the guide.
After, use the revone tool to go locked and s-on

Thanks for the reply Guich.
I'm kinda lost in the above thread.
1) Which Base Firmware should i download for T-MOB101 German device? I would like for it to have automatic updates for the future.
2) After that i will have to download the HBOOT 1.44.0000 Original unmodified, right?
3) In which order should i flash them? It's the same method for both Base Firmware and HBOOT?
4) Lastly, my bootloader now is unlocked with the HTC's method. How i can use the Revone to go Locked and S-On? Also, when should i change the CID to T-MOB101 from SuperCID 11111111?
Excuse me for all these questions, after almost 8 hours in front of the PC with no luck my head's gonna explode..
Thanks a bunch,
Bill

1) I will advise you to transform your T-MOB phone into an unbranded phone.
So, donwload the 1.29 firmware umodified and flash this.
2) Yupp, 1.44 hboot and go s-on and locked
3) Use the guide, i will advice firmware and after hboot.
4) Yup, with 1.44 hboot you can use the revone tool for go to LOCKED and not RELOCKED and s-on
But, before go to s-on, change the cid into HTC__001.
5) If you're tired do this tomoz

[Q] HTC Warranty and going back to stock

Hi,
A couple of questions, here is my current situation:
ROM: Vipper 2.6
Cid:vodap001
S-on
Device : PN0710000
Boot loader 1.54.0000
Bootloader is unlocked and has the messaged TAMPERED. I need to send the phone back to HTC for repair as I have a display issue.
How do I get rid of the TAMPERED message, guessing reloocking the bootloader can be done via adb\fastboot ?
If the steps I need to do requires me to be S-OFF, I can send the phone to fonefunshop to get that completed.
I just need to know the steps I should take to achieve the above.
Also need a nandroid backup for CID: VODAP001 (anyone?)
If I manage to remove the TAMPERED message and get the bootloader to show as locked, do I need to change the CID number back to VODAP001 and do I need to go back to S-ON ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265618
A good read for you :fingers-crossed:
The search option would have given you Mikes thread :highfive:
I should add there is no RUU for my CID. Also, instead of RELOCKED, can you get it to show LOCKED ?
Or does that not matter if sending the phone back for repair ?

You can only get it to show LOCKED if you're on hboot 1.44 and use revone to S-Off, then remove TAMPERED and change to LOCKED.

Yes, once you're S-Off you can downgrade using any RUU. But you can't S-Off 1.54 at the moment (unless you know someone with a JavaCard)

I can, there is a place in Sheffield, England that can S-OFF hboot 1.54 all for the sum of £12.99
Think a couple of chaps on here have already had it done.

[Q] Crucial Questions-need a complete answer

Hi
I have a Htc one m7 which was S-off and I upgraded to 4.4.2 with Hboot 1.57.
I decided to back to 100% stock by removing "tampered" and...
Everything was good till doing S-ON.
After S-ON the "TAMPERED" came back on top of hboot.
Now I cant S-OFF it because of Hboot 1.57.
Somebody told me that he can Downgrade the Main Version by Riff Box but he cant do S-OFF.
my questions is that:
If I downgrade the Main Version can I downgrade the Hboot by flashing a 4.2.2 RUU without having s-off?
Is it possible and logical?
Would be dangerous in case of hard break??
Thanks in advance

Simple answer, you cant downgrade anything without s-off, don't know about the riff box method though.
Where in the world are you ?
