[Q] Rooting I9000XXJPP, 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1

Just want to make really sure I'm doing this right since there seem to be so many options. So if you could point me to the right "procedure" to root my phone with the below specs:
Code:
Model number: GT-I9000
Firmware version: 2.2
Baseband verion: I9000XXJPP
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9 rootⓐSE-S611 #1
Build number: FROYO.AIJP6

FYI, you do not need to root this, as you should update it to Gingerbread first, but if you must, just install Z4root app and you will get root or you want to update it...just follow this guide you can do everything

You can just flash SpeedMod kernel and your Froyo 2.2 will have root and CWM recovery. Simply follow this guide:

All the download links are there and working.
Gingerbread is indeed better OS but if you like 2.2 just do like in the guide.

hi i wanna knw the rom that needs to be downloaded reffering to which number?baseband or kernel?coz i can seem to find my baseband which is N7000DXKL2

ROM identify with build number (PDA)
baseband is just Modem, it will comes bundled with PDA
Kernel information needed to get Root n CWM

I'm from Malaysia. Currently using a g.note n7000 android version: 2.3.6, baseband version: N7000DXKL2, Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-N7000DXLA1-CL886914 [email protected] #2 & build number: gingerbread.DXLA1.
My problem now is I can't update my software. When i install the update file, it stated that instal fail & try install using Kies. What should i do so tat i can update my android version? as i know, android version should be 4 right?

[Q] Badly need help about flashing to 2.3.4

I am having trouble upgrading my Samsung galaxy S GT-I9000 so I hope you guys could help me with this. I've been reading so many threads regarding to flashing but I don't understand any of it. So here it is..
My current firmware version is 2.2
Baseband version: I9000JXJPE
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #91
Build number: FROYO.JPJPG
Where can I get the update.zip for 2.2? (if i'm not mistaken this is the CWM right?)

I want to flash to darkyrom 10.2 but I'm afraid my firmware version is not compatible or what.
How can I upgrade my 2.2 to Gingerbread?

[Help] Flashing custom rom from Froyo 2.2.1? Help Me Please. (Confused!)

Hi devs, i am confused in flashing Custom Rom. I have rooted my phone and have cwm recovery installed. I want to update from Froyo to Gingerbread. Where to get the gingerbread rom that i can flash? Should i download any rom and just flash it in CWM directly? Or i need to do some thing special? Please help me. I followed the tutorial but i didn't found my build/baseband version in gingerbread section!! Any help will be appreciated Thanks in advance
