Try a data factory reset in settings/backup and restore (backup files first) and see if that helps.

Its an hardware issue. Factory reset wont solve it..

Try manual white balance, i find the H1 is easily fooled on auto, so i leave it on daylight most of the time, and then go though the various options if it look wrong under artificial light.
John.

This issue only appears on the 4.2.2 ROM, it never or extremely rarely happened on 4.1.2

Pink spot in photos.

Does anyone else experience this? Try taking a photograph of a piece of white paper. My photos end up with a pink/redish sphere in the middle of the photo. Nothing in the camera settings that I've tried fixes it.
I know there are other phones that had this issue, but is there any way to fix it?

I'm on the xda app, ****.
If you would have read any of the thread from CyanogenMod you would know that it's an ongoing problem with Cyanogen mod and any aosp roms as the drivers are not released for the HTC internal camera. Switching to a sense based rom will remove this error.

HTC desire c stuck in landscape

Hi
I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with this. I have the desire c (branded to 3 and rooted) it has worked great for awhile but recently the screen keeps going into landscape and getting stuck there (even when holding it up right) I've tried turning auto rotate off but it still happens usually a restart fixes it for awhile but then it starts again. I found a app on the market that can force it back into portrait but then I can't make some apps full screen like YouTube. I've tried a factory reset a few times both through settings and by pushing power and volume up but not long after it starts happening again.
Anyone have any idea why this is happening?
Thanks.

Maybe you should backup your current rom, and then install a custom one maybe some files relating to the sensors could be corrupt.
Thanks i may try using a generic rom to see if it fixes it. What's the best way to back up my current rom? Gonna need to go back to it if I have to sent it off to get fixed.

Well I tried nameless Rom but it didn't fix it so looks like I'm gonna have to send my phone off for repair

Try calibrating your sensors.
Sent from my Texus 4 toaster
Thanks I tried that but no luck the odd thing is the sensor seems to work cause I can play that game where you control the ball with the sensor. But its started doing other stuff now like it keeps turning the screen on on its own and putting phone on loud speaker and pausing music etc.

Weird... The game works, but the accelorometer doesn't work at other places

My wife's Desire C has the same problem. Stuck in landscape most of the time. Screen turning on, phonecalls sometimes suddently go to speaker. Sensors are working fine if you ask me.
I was trying to root it when I read this topic, I still might try a custom rom though.
Glad I'm not the only one who had this problem. Maybe there's a fault with some of the handsets or something.
I gave up and sent mine off for repair now.

Heyyy!!! Did u find any solution for your problem. My phone is also starting to behave in the same way....
I think I found the solution. It seems like the problem is with HTC's ROM based on ICS 4.0 and 4.0.4. I tried just about any ROM based on ICS (stock and custom) with any kernel combination and the problem repeats itself.
Flashed CM 10.1 and the problem is gone.

beware from the nexus 4 camera app

Okay this thread should be in all android phones forums... My brother have the htc sensation xl and he installed the nexus 4 camera app on it (without root and everything just install.. and it have the 4.3 camera interface) so today I was shooting some pics from the app and I Received a viber massage and when the viber popup showed up the camera closed and I entered the app again it says "can't connect to camera" just like the n4 tried to enter the stock sense camera and even not working until I restart the.phone please get another camera app because this stock app cause hardware problems to my n4 And the front camera is not working... Thank you for reading...
It was probably your phone's hardware problem, not the camera app, since it is just copied from s4 GE ROM.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
works perfectly here, and the new 4.3 camera app has been working without a single issue. the htc sensation would need a camera app developed for it to work perfectly on it, the sensation and n4 do have different hardware. plus its not a hardware problem for you, its a software problem if a reboot fixes it.

I think he means that even after reboot the camera doesn't work. But I don't think this is a camera app's fault

It is working fine on my N4. I have been using it since it was leaked. It is not surprising to hear of issues with the Sensation due to the HTC framework. Remember, as it is, it was pulled from a Samsung rom.

i dont know, he said.. "and even not working until I restart the.phone", which is a typical way to fix a camera software glitch. deleting the data from the gallery app works if its a data corruption issue.

What the hell, why are you on the phone to LG for a replacement? "Cannot connect to camera" means the camera is in use, be that from a anti-theft software, to malware, or just another camera app..

The interface for "4.3 camera" was first leaked on the N4 running 4.3, but when the GE devices came out, they had the "4.3 camera" preloaded
Did you try a factory reset before returning?
Sent from my shiny new(bought last Nov), scratch less Nexus 4!
Same happened to me on AOKP latest nightly, but with stock camera.
On previous phones, and various ROMs also happened once or twice, so i guess it's just some litlle bug, and definitly not hardware issue, but maybe Android itself
The app crashed and it was still connected to the camera. If you'd gone into the recent apps list or the application settings menu and killed it, it would have fixed the problem. The Android OS only allows one app to connect to the camera at a time as outlined in the SDK Documentation. Even the stock camera apps do this from time to time with third party apps (like Instagram) that also use the camera. No big deal.
He's probably worried it's related to prism wanting his smurf pron, spying on him randomly.

Well I had too many of apps that use the camera and in the beginning the can't connect to cam it was not a big deal to me but when it started to show up every time I open the cam from the lock screen... And when I switch to f-cam it not working I tried fac reset
and another rom and it still ...but my question. Is when I get back the n4 which camera app do i use... I'm afraid from the stock ...

I'm talking about bringing it back to total stock. Make a nandroid back up first then use easy nexus toolkit and bring it all the way back to stock. It could be a driver issue or something like that or some kind of a conflict caused by an app or something.

Battery bug on 4.2.2 with nothing to cause it.

Ok so I recently updated to stock 4.2.2 on my Z and now my battery is haywire. In the last hour, off charge it's reported 78, 56,21,99 and 101%.
I'm running stock firmware, unaltered bar root, which I have only SuperSU and busybox installed I haven't changed or deleted anything as yet.
I've read a few threads saying custom recovery messes with it but I haven't got one. My biggest issue is it completely not recognising the charger being plugged in sometimes.
What's going on?

No fix for battery bug yet!
Factory reset doesn't help, neither does flashing Rom with complete wipe. I've tried it several times. Battery bug on stock Sony 4.2.2 will show up sooner or later. Same applies to other bugs like album app lag. Hopefully Sony might fix these issues in the next update.

Sony really needs to fix this ASAP. My Xperia Z just dies out of nowhere whenever the battery level drops to a certain point, vibrating once and then rebooting itself, causing the bug to appear. I don't know what is going on with this phone.
I guess the update is coming tomorrow.

wow you guys must be really limited in your charging options, when I'm home I can charge, in my car I can charge, oh I charge at work also, so with many places to charge I don't see a problem with the battery tbh, buy some more chargers.

Hello,
yea I know, but I'm currently use a custom rom which use Android 4.3 but still not working..
I just got off the phone with an HTC rep because I got annoyed with the problem and he said that he actually has the same problem on his One and that they are working quickly on a fix. It is in fact a software issue that will fix both the tint and the auto focus issues. Hope he was being truthful.
