Hi all.
Greetings from the Droid 2 subforums. I be DarkOnion. Apparently, the rooting method for the Droid 2 is claimed to have worked for Droid X also.
Give this method a try as soon as you want to root your Droid X on 2.2! Written for dummies by a dummy. Let me know if it works or doesn't or if you run into any trouble!

They are not the same if you checked the milestone is a GSM version of the droid, and has a locked bootloader, you can not flash these roms to your droid just like we cant flash the droid roms
Im looking to re-sbf my phone.. change the rom etc.basically take everything on it and make it different than it is now...cuz its buggy. anyway
my question is im looking for sbf's for droid 3 but alot of stuff i find is for droid x and stuff i was wondering if it matters like if it has to be for Droid 3 or Droid 2 or Droid x for it to work on Droid 3/Droid 2/ or Droid X. also do certain ROMS require certain SBF's?
Thanks!!
The DROID 3 requires a droid 3 sbf, as do all phones require sbfs for their particular model. And for the second part, there are different roms that require different base systems. They usually tell which they work with. Additionally, some of the newer versions prevent using an sbf to return to previous versions.
Just as a side note, sbf isn't actually used anymore, the files are now fxz files, but the terms sbf is still commonly used in reference to them. Both file types can be flashed in rsd lite.

It absolutely DOES matter, each phone is totally different when it comes to SBF files. DO NOT even try one not made for the Droid 3. And make sure it is the correct SBF for the right model of Droid 3 (XT860, XT862... etc).
You NEED to know the version and model you have. Settings>About Phone.
If you have the XT862 (verizon wireless model and are running 5.5.959 or 5.6.890) you will need to look here: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/4370-sbf-droid-3-fastboot-files-55959-and-56890/
If you are running the latest OTA 5.7.960, look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1686911

Personally, I've found Maverick and Haters gonna Hate ROMs to be the best. They, along with others can be found here http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-3-roms/
Hello all.
I have bought an unlocked Verizon turbo and I'm using it internationally with a foreign Sim card. I have tried to search the forums and google if there is a way to install Moto maxx firmware on droid turbo. Appreciate if you can help me out or if someone can direct me to the right thread.
Thanks all
Till the bootloader can be unlocked i don't think so you'll have to wait until someone unlock the bootloader and the develop for turbo begin
Is not possible at the moment because turbo bootloader it's locked, so you can't flash anything
Thanks guys. Guess I will have to wait and see. The call divert function is useless as of now
