Sorry if this has already been asked but is there a built in way to take screenshots on GE Roms? I have tried several root apps for this but with very mixed results.

Press Power and volume down buttons at same time.

Not working for me. Dang. I am using the latest GE build all stock with the only mod being that I am rooted. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Hold them two down for 2 seconds

Yea, Power + Vol Down doesn't work on my GE either. Nor does Power + Home.
I find it incredibly hard to believe that HTC could screw up a basic function like this, but I guess they could.
Its working for me. Which ROM are you on?

I'm on the full GE conversion setup and my volume down and power for two seconds works just fine.

Stock GE straight from the Play Store.
Not sure what's wrong w your phones but mine does screencaps exactly the same as when I had stock sense installed:

It's kind of strange, it was working last week. So when the screen is off, you press the power button and the lockscreen comes up. If you swipe up on one of the icons at the bottom for the app shortcuts, it will go straight to the application. Or, at least it used to. Now it just unlocks my phone. Anyone else have this issue?
Thanks ahead of time,

I've got this exact issue. Just started this morning.

No prob here.
I'm on TrickDroid 5.6.0
I first had it happen to me on ARHD, now on stock with latest update.

This happens when you have a accessibility service activated. Check in settings and accessibility. If anything is enabled it breaks the lock screen.
There is a fix here if you are rooted and running a deodexed rom

New here in the HTC one area so please forgive me if this topic was already covered. Being new to the HTC phone I wasn't liking the soft button lights turning off during the day light so this app basically keeps button backlight always on, as long as the screen is on.
Confirmed working with HTC one. KiNDA

UPDATE: The soft lights turn off on occasion and I have to toggle the power button to turn the light back on. Bug I guess but quick minor temp fix by hitting the button
UPDATE 7-/4/13: According to solid.snake (see quote below), Capacitive Buttons Brightness Works well

It allow to keep the keypad backlight on as long as the screen is on, or it can simply switch the keypad backlight off.

Are you able to see the button lights in the daylight? They seem kind of dim to me.

If im not mistaken.. I have read somewhere.. Its tune down by HTC.. Nothing we can do bout it... Someone correct me if im wrong thanks

I thought the bigger issue was the firmware changing from 1.27 to 1.29 a couple months ago where many say the max volume was dropped. Personally I didn't notice such a dramatic difference though.

Both of these guys ^^^^^ are correct. One of the only ways i know to return it to higher levels is to install a custom kernel that has sound control (Such as Tbaldens Performance Kernel 2.1.4) and install an app (like trickster mod) that will give you the ability to control these levels. See attached pics.
AT&T HTC One | ARHD 12.0
Tbalden Perf Kernel 2.1.4 UV/OC/UC
Thanks for reply lads it cleared slot of things if htc felt as tho the sound needed reajusting then im fine with that  and thanks for the reply and may i ask whats the best settings to use on trickster??

Indeed, I was also interested when HTC lowered the volume. Again I can't speak from personal experience on this but there was a lot of talk about popping from the speakers initially which you don't hear as much about now. Perhaps it was for the better Still, awesome to know we can go back if we want

i have searched forums up and down, ran searches, google...youtube....no luck so i'm just gonna ask.
Is there a rom or app or kernel or something that allows my HTC One to run multi window / multitasking similar to the S4
built in app?
thanks
No

Is this something we shld see in near future? Either from HTC or an updated ROM?
I dont get how this is proprietary to samsung only?

5 inch screen? Multi window = OK.
4.7" screen? Kind of hard.
I know the S3 has it, but meh... Its easier to switch apps often.
Thats really not that much of a size difference....but anyway, was just wondering if there was an existing mod to accomplish...
