I think that's how this app is made. It has only landspace UI mode in playback - most likely that's the reason.

Sony just released the latest update for walkman 8.3.A.0.2 and album 6.0.A.0.26.
I guess they are making us ready for the upcoming kitkat 4.4 for xperia zr! So excited!
