If this really is a Cm phone, and t-mobile will pay me to break my sprint contract in a year, then I will sell my one and get it. Hopefully it'll have a nice build. And a front facing speaker(s). It seems like that's not too much to ask for in a phone?
Some N4 users said that it looks a lot like the device, though. Maybe the Nemesis is an alternative to Android?

For those of you who don't know, Nemesis, from what people can tell, is a project which is to create a "skin" that not only brings the AOSP experience, but also rivals OEMs skins feature wise.
Phase 1: Focal the camera app. It replaces the bland AOSP camera to compete with custom camera apps like sense, touchwiz etc.
Who want to guess what the next phase will be? I think it'll be Trebuchet.
They will pay you? How did you get such a sweat deal and how will they pay you? After my contract I'm leaving sprint never going back to cdma again

They simply gave me enough credit to cover for my ETF for 3 phones from t mobile. It was as though my contract had ended. I doubt any other carrier will do that and it was a limited time offer from Sprint. But I'm hoping either AT&T or T-Mobile will break me out of Sprint. The data speeds are nuts. I was struggling to get 4 megs in a strong LTE area.

I can't help but to laugh at this. I thought ICS wasn't going to be tampered with as much by all the phone makers. This is a video uploaded by SamsungFirmwares (unofficial leak) so I assume it is pretty much what they are getting on the GSII or Skyrocket. What a fail. Glad I didn't switch to the Skyrocket or GSII, I feel bad for all you that did. I'll take a locked (soon to be unlocked by Evil) Vivid rather than the crap Samsung is making with ICS. Can't wait to see what HTC does with ICS.

True... But I've had an Infuse, and we got loads and loads of leaks from Samsung and they were all very similar to the final product. That reminds me... I wonder if the Infuse even has GB yet, it was promised back in August if I remember correctly lol.

that may be, but for the OP to claim that it was official Samsung that uploaded the video is inaccurate. that leak is very beta with many unworking features. i'm not sure why anyone would think that manufacturers werent going to rape ICS anyway. HTC will do the same thing with Sense....Moto will do the same thing with their 'Not-Blur'....they will all get raped. laughing and pointing doesnt do any good for the android community at all. SMH

Agreed. The only aftermarket UI that I can tolerate is Sense, so I can perfectly understand why people want the full AOSP experience so badly.

Sense has some serious polish to it though. Look at the intuitive lockscreen HTC made with the rings, now compare it to the Touchwiz lockscreen. Touchwiz widgets have nothing on Sense too. The way Sense links everything is very unique too. I don't find Touchwiz that different from AOSP at all... That's why I got so bored with development on the Infuse.

I'm a graphic designer and thus am probably more picky than most... but... that's called Bad Color Representation.
When white is displayed as light blue and green looks neon green, your display is either broken or, just simply junk...
If your TV looked like that, you'd return it.
I have no idea why people seem to think it is not only acceptable, but preferable in their phone.
and yes, I have owned one... for 1 week... I actually cringed when my phone would ring, because it meant I had to look at that screen.... I returned it for my sanity, stating "it must be defective, Samsung could not have done that on purpose".

I agree with the first point completely. But you gotta give credit where credit is due, especially if you're running a non-stock ROM. A lot of the custom features are based off cm code, especially in all these kitchen-sink Roms you see on the Dev boards now a days. CM is the originators, not the duplicators.

I love this post a ton. Kudos!
i think it has something to do with a new camera feature in which the camera takes multiple photos and allows you to select the best one. Or maybe even eliminate unwanted elements in a photo as seen in new lumia phones. What ever it is.. I cant wait for it!
Maybe its the new 4.3 CM Rom or a phone with CM as stock.
Like the suggestion of it being a Rom for an Iphone. How much would that upset Apple
Did anyone recognize that phone on teaser? Narrow bezel, not-so-good screen (low viewing angle), Android 4.2.2 and "FREE" sign instead of carrier name.
I think there's something more than camera.
EDIT: Look at the lockscreen wallpaper. Maybe it is red (but because low viewing angle it is kinda blueish)... like on Android 4.3?

I know for sure it is a french phone. Free is a carrier and an internet provider in France. Makes me think of a nexus device, and it looks like the google edition wallpaper.
These buzzwords make me believe that they might start a second path and include stuff they want to see in android, which is too far from googles guidelines
and therefore not included in regular cyanogen mod:
Complete UI overhaul, colors, animations, functions...
But then there is the lockscreen in this trailer, which just looks like stock android.
So we can just wait and enjoy what might come...
Just curious where all these Roms for our Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 are?

We have lots of them ..which "great one " are you waiting for :what:
Seems like many of the DEVs have left Sprint for Verizon and/or decided they like their Note2's better.A lot of the rest all seem to be obsessed with AOSP/AOKP/CM Roms despite the fact that it removes most of the functionality that makes this phone great.
Unfortunately the blind hatred of TouchWiz for no good reason is hurting this phone.

Ya on all the aosp the cameras are not even close to the stock one"unless there is a stock camera apk .".I see your point.. really haven't looked at it like that..that being said I would still never go back .pacman with faux =:beer:
There are as many good roms for the Sprint version as there are for the others. Also, you guys should feel lucky that that Sprint has felt charitable enough to not lock this device down like Verizon and AT&T have as devs are indeed leaving those versions even as we speak.....

I don't even think I have seen a single Dev from either the epic touch community or gs3 go from sprint to Verizon.I've seen ATT and T-Mobile. Anyways we have many great devs in our community. And you can't expect every single one that you like to get the same phone as you. Since we don't all have upgrades at the same time. Some may have used it on a gs3 and now can't upgrade until gs5 or simply don't have the money to upgrade. We are all regular people. My guess is that by black Friday time we will have many more devs come over. This happened with the gs3. The number of Roms jumped a lot from what I remember since some people were able to get the gs3 for a penny with an upgrade.
And since when is there a blind hatred for touch wiz. Over the past two years I have seen more people prefer Touchwiz Roms over AOSP based. Easy comparison, check the number of posts and views of all aosp based Roms to that of touchwiz. And tell me which one has more. This goes for the sprint gs3 as well. From my view Touchwiz is the most stable and fully functional ROM for Samsung phones.

Not a hint. A possibility....

I think op is referring to omega and other roms being ported. I seem to recall some devs not wanting th roms ported by others, but did say they would port it themselves.

Anyone else notice in his signature he's running version 3.0.0 and he only ever released version 2.0.0? :silly:
Isn't that trademarked by Nestlé? I wonder how much cash has traded hands.

I'm excited to see that name... Plus their statue looks perfect. I'm pretty sure Google will pay for licensing if it's the ceo's favorite candy. Android associated with kit kat makes me want to buy one now.. Just wish they would of kept 5.0 instead of 4.4.

My main concern is that they usually only make significant UI changes with major numerical version updates. Since it's 4.4 and not 5.0, my thought is that there will be probably a few new features within more or less the same UI. That's not a problem, per se, but in my opinion the current Android UI is getting a little stale and could really use a refresh (especially the launcher). That's mainly what I'm hoping for in the next version of Android. I suppose we only have a couple months until we find out for sure though.

My thoughts as well, though I will say that they do have a good thing going right now. Plus, Jelly Bean was a significant improvement over ICS.
PS. Where are all the KitKat ROM's?

The overall theme basically hasn't changed since ICS. That's why I was hoping for version 5 and a refreshed UI. Jelly Bean is nice looking, but it's getting a little stale. We don't want the exact same look version after version like iOS

Not sure if anyone answered this, but they both agreed that they wouldn't pay each other anything. KitKats become advertised subconsciously and Android gets a simple catchy name.

Yeah, I should've done a little more reading before creating this thread. Most of my questions were answered basically right away

I personally like the way android's interface is right now. Besides there are many options with custom romming and custom launchers that allows you to customize it so much that a "major upgrade" isn't necessary. Just my opinion though.
When are they gonna release the freaking thing?

No. With almost everything leaked by now the release is looming. Giving Jan/Feb as a possibility is stupid and ignorant.

OH REALLY?
Please send me a link to a Sprint GS4 4.3 leak or ROM. The international and other GSM carriers have a leak which has been ported to the Sprint gs4, but this isnt from sprint. So how do you expect to have a 4.4 KitKat Official update to the Sprint GS4 in the next month or so if we don't even have 4.3 yet. It at least another 1 month before we get 4.3 official update. then another 2-3 months for 4.4 update. Which puts it in the Jan/Feb range. So do not tell me I am ignorant and stupid.
And you should really read the rules. Here is the specific one I am referring to, just in case you forgot it.
2.3 Flaming / Lack of respect: XDA is about sharing which does not involve virtual yelling (flaming) or rudeness. Flaming or posting with a lack of respect is not acceptable. Treat new members the way you would like to have been treated when you were a new member. When dealing with any member, provide them with guidance, advice and instruction when you can, showing respect and courtesy.
