Every time I flash an aosp or aokp ROM my screen will not respond. Whenever it times out the screen won't respond at all. Anyone know any fixes?

What roms have you flashed? Have you posted anything in their threads.

A few users (myself included) have reported the issue over on the CM thread. Unfortunately the issue is affecting too few people to get any real acknowledgement.
It seems it might be an issue with HWcomposer on newer HTC One's, but it looks like we're still far from finding a fix.

there are a lot off topic conversations going on the official Cyanogenmod ROM thread that have nothing to do with CM development and it'd be better for the community if we keep all those conversations..questions about CM in this thread..

Nice. Can't believe no one thought of this earlier.
Maybe a stupid question but I can't find it online.
What's the difference between Expirimental, nightlies, etc?
And what's the order of al these?

I mentioned it days ago in the Development thread.
I didn't start one because I can't keep the Original post updated.
Glad someone else who can started a thread.

Experimental is usually a build started by a dev to test changes made
Nightlies are builds scheduled every night regardless if changes have been made
Milestones have all the big bugs ironed out and signify overcoming big developmental hurdles
RC (release candidate) is what it sounds like. It's a build that has the potential to be stable if no further bugs appear
Stable has all the bugs worked out.
Do we still have the Black screen during calls? I swore it worked this morning then all my calls went black. Didn't realize how important buttons were on calls to me until it happened. I'm on the latest nightly

Stock is better as it relies on sense framework for image processing. So, optimised for the one hw

No idea. I'd say no since someone would have to reverse engineer the HTC software. I don't see that happening, but it's just a guess.

Too bad... Hopefully someone will create some kind of AOSP-Stock-Hybrid-ROM.
I will ask in Q&A if somebody is already at it, if not i will see if i can spare some time to get involved into Android developing and try to create one...
Issues
Apologies if I have missed anything where this has been covered before. I have read pretty much every page of the dev thread. I have been an xda user for years but only just opened an account to ask a couple of questions.
I can report the proximity/ blank screen during calls still exists with 18052013 nightly. Not that I saw anything about this in the change log.
Can I ask if this is any issue for everybody with the HTC One or just some? (I have the international version)
Is there a fix in the works for this?
It looks like the notification LED colour cannot be changed right now. I have tried a couple of colours but green is the only one that works.
I noticed something else small. The facebook app from the Sense 5.0 original ROM had the option to "sync only existing contacts" but with this ROM we have only "sync" which syncs all contacts. Not sure if this is an easy fix but it would be nice to have back. I do understand none of the "sense" apps or tools are available in AOSP.
Thanks for the hard work and helps everybody
Probably kind of random, but anyone have any luck with the One/CM 10.1 syncing with a Jawbone Up (a fitness monitor bracelet)? It worked fine on stock, but refuses to sync since moving to CM. I'm on the latest nightly. Any info appreciated!

Hello everyone!
Couldn't find thread like this, so I'll start one now.
I'm a noobi and can't post in dev section yet, but I would like to mention some issues with the nightlies of this great rom. Many thanks to the devs!
One of the few bugs I found is that the wallpaper dissapear very often. The black "pacman" WP shows up instead. Don't know what's trigging. It's randomly. It started on around the 22/6 nightly. I'm not sure. It's anoying, so I went back to the 13/5 stable(?) release for daily driver
I also had the setting FC after uninstalling, but that's resolved now on the latest, right?
Battery life went pore on the 28/6. Anybody else have that problem?
Also have problems with alarm clock will not kick in if app kill on back button. Would be great to have the clock app blacked out also
Overall the Pacman rom is very good. Many great features
I will continue post issues with the nightlies in this thread.

Flashed 29/6 yesterday. Pretty smooth, but still draining battery. Today I flashed 30/6 rom and imidiately problems. FC android.prosess.media and playstore. I did dirty flash and did not flash gapps. Will try that now. Later....
Did now flash the gapps too and all is is well. A good idea to always flash gapps too as told in dev thread. I'm still learning..
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
On 30/6 the wallpaper still drops out and replaces with stock pacman. Only happend once today. Quite annoying. Also the statusline FC sometimes like earlier nightlies.
On this (30/6) rom the "green power" app have FC sometimes too. And mobile network can't be deactivated at all. Maybe the couse of battery drain..?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
1/7, battery life much better, but sometimes FC com.android.systemui. Randomly I think. Will flash 2/7 soon if available.

How can i download this rom there is no link that exists on the net for (4.4.2)
The problem looks like a lack of vSync while scrolling around the bottom 3/4 of the screen. Text/graphics looks seperated or shifted from the rest of the scrolling text/graphics until it catches up.
I went through a few 4.2.2 ROMs they all have major tearing while scrolling in all apps (PacMan, XenonHD and LiquidSmooth). I finaly tried uXylon 7/24 and that was the first one that did not have tearing so I settled on it.
The latest uXylon 8/6 is now tearing just like the other ROMs. I tried flashing with / without the VanquishPuppiesN8 kernel and without / with factory reset etc. nothing helps. After flashing back to 7/24 and the tearing is gone. I searched and could not find much specific to the Atrix HD. Is anybody else having a tearing issue or is it just my device?
I am on LiquidSmooth v2.9 with the N8 Kernel and running the PurePerformance engine, I do experience screen tearing as described in the OP.
Any updates on this or a fix? I too experience this issue

You can only improve it. Turn on 4x msaa in dev options per reboot, activate vsync and activate fps cap. I do the previous two in pimp my ROM.

I have messed with a lots of settings especially on the XenonHD ROM but have not tried that combination. Anyway, why is it that the 7/24 uXylon is, well lets just say "buttery", and the 8/6 has the issue? Why the regression? I know it is one ROM out of many but maybe if someone with a lot more knowledge than me could do some sort of comparison between the non-tearing 7/24 uXylon and the tearing 8/6 uXylon some solution to the problem may be discovered for all ROMs to use.
At least I know it isn't only my Atrix HD. For a while there I thought I did something wrong when flashing.
I have never been on 4.2+ without tearing.

Try uXylon 7/24 with the N8 kernel. Not sure where you can find an official copy though. Nobody should trust a newbie but, I did keep a copy I could send you if you are feeling trusting or brave.
Hey guys is anyone experiencing constant freezes on cm10.2 especially on Lords august 15+16 builds (even on carbon 4.3) It occurs when pressing on an app to launch it (but not all the time) also in apps. I've tried wiping cache and data but same results. Am I doing something wrong or is there a fix ? I can kind of turn it back on (softkeys light up and the screen flashes quickly) before going to a black screen. I can repeat that as many times and I want but won't turn on normally.
Thanks in advance !

Solution: Don't use CM 10.2
Why: CM 10.2 hasn't even come out with a official "stable" release. Your even on a unofficial nightly so what are you expecting?
Anyways if your looking for better answer maybe you should have posted this in the CM 10.2 thread instead of wasting space here...

I have posted there a couple times. I seem to be the only one with this problem. The builds were fine ever since I first went on it and haven't had an issue until a couple days of running the same build i started encountering issues. I have also tried to hop on other roms and same results so i don't think that's the issue.
I asked this q in the at&t forum but I didn't get any responses and I doubt it has anything do with at&t so I'll ask again here:
The issue is that sometimes turning the phone to landscape orientation causes the viewscreen to black out. Switch back to portrait and it comes back. I can take a picture, I just can't see what I'm taking a picture of.
I have the CM11 camera, CameraZoom, and ProCapture. I think this issue is happening in all of them but I'll have to experiment more if someone thinks it is an app issue. This is frustrating because it is not consistently reproducible - it happens when I'm out somewhere trying to catch a picture! I haven't been able to reproduce it in my kitchen.
Anyone have any ideas what is going on?
Sent from my GT-p511x
Does it only happen on the current rom that you're on, or does it happen on others aswell?
Sent from my HTCONE using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
The only two I've used are CM11 and Mokee and I'm pretty sure it's been on both. As I said, I haven't been able to reproduce it. It's only happened when I've been trying to capture a photo and I think only outside. However, it's not just bright outdoor light (my original thought but not reproducible). I'm clueless and was just hoping someone had an idea.
Sent from my GT-p511x
Honestly, I'd probably blame it on AOSP roms (assuming mokee is AOSP too). My roommate has had tons of issues with AOSP roms on his one, while I haven't really suffered very many on mine, but I've stuck to all sense based roms since owning this phone.
Sent from my HTCONE using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I'll try a sense based ROM for a while and see what happens.

Boy, not liking sense based ROM. Had to go back to CM11. Wondering now about various camera apps. Anyone have really good experience to recommend and app? What about Google photosphere?
