(TMOBILE USA ONLY) So tmobile dropped an update today which is supposed to fix somethings and most importantly for me LTE.
I was in the tmobile forums and some of us just want to flash the radio without having to back to stock to get the full update. Till know, no one over there knows how to do this. Can someone briefly explain how i can extract the radio from the update and make it flashable in fastboot. Thanks in advance.
H Teee C uno
Exactly. I wanted to finally root this thing and try android revolution or the latest stock update 4.2.2 . not going to wait for Tmobile to push the 4.2.2 update anymore.

Until someone posts the OTA dump, not much you can do.
I just grabbed the URL and I'm downloading the OTA zip file right now. I can upload once it's done downloading. Am I able to just fastboot flash the radio update image? (I'm on AR 12.1 with s-off. )

Guys, it's an update for T-Mob USA version. Even if it has a radio in it, it's useless (or even potentially dangerous) for the worldwide version users.
@Moderators: maybe this thread should be moved to the "T-Mobile HTC One" to avoid confusion?
I know it for tmobile, hence why i titled it "Tmobile Update", dont see how that can cause confusion................ . . .. . ..... Reason why im asking here is because no one im the threads over knows what to do.

It was already posted there and I just recently flashed it.

Well, T-Mobile is originally a German company, widely present in Europe. So the "Tmobile Update" title is in fact confusing.
My HTC One, purchased from an official dealer in Switzerland has T-MOB101 CID, which means T-Mobile Germany.
In fact T-Mobile Germany denied the latest Update to 4.2.2 via OTA. See here (in German) https://feedback.telekom-hilft.de/questions/wann-kommt-das-android-4-2-2-update-fur-das-htc-one

I've tried to flash this radio with fastboot but I keep getting FAILED (remote: not allowed).
Using ARHD 4.2.2 and twrp recovery. Could anyone PM me and give me a walk through?
Huh... Didnt knw that. Guess i shoulda put U.S Tmoblie.

U have a tmobile U.s Htc one right? Not the german one?
If you do, the file provided in the link is meant to flashed in recovery. I did mine through twrp.

What are my options?
I'm using an unlocked "Bell" Incredible S on AT&T in the USA.
I'm sure that means I'll never see an OTA update... How can I force the update?

If you had read the OTA topic you would have see my answer that bell is curently working on the OTA but we have no ETA
But for those of us running an unlocked Bell IS on AT&T, we won't see the OTA even after it's released because we're not on Bell, so we would have to install it manually. Is there a way to just go ahead and install the WWE OTA that's just been released on our phones? Perhaps through a goldcard? This would have the added bonus of getting rid of all the Bell apps that are cluttering the phone.
can't you install through updater software?
OTA never worked for my Telus Milestone, but we got 2.1 and 2.2 through old skool ways using USB and software
Are we sure that Bell actually did something to disable the goldcard method? Don't only certain kinds of SD cards work? Maybe no one has tried an SD that will work yet?
No one seems to be sure right now. But at the moment neither the ota or wwe seem to be working for anyone using a bell IS, including me. Has anyone been successful in updating manually with a bell Is?
Nope

Any update?
So far nothing. It seems that Bell's version is somewhat different and the regular Gold Card method definitely does not work. Also, the XTC clip doesn't work to turn off S-ON so Raskal is currently trying to source a Bell version IS to test.
So, even if you're on AT&T (as I am) we'll just have to wait for Bell to release the upgrade themselves.
Emailed Bell last week and all they had got to say to me was:

Unlocking the sim lock does not change your device ID, which is used to determine which server you will receive updates from. The carrier the phone is using has nothing to do with deciding what kind updates you get through OTA.
Correct me if I'm wrong
That's what I thought too. I thought the device id was what determined what update you got.

Has anyone in India got the Gingerbread update yet ?
No. HTC India/Asia's replies range from "not sure when" to "end of May"
<ignore>I wish people would just post a tutorial on how to install a WWE RUU</ignore>
Let me eat my words
End of may is too far
That is not fair
is the wwe update an official one ?
Has anyone in India ignored waiting for the official update and installed the wwe update ?
I have and its working absolutely fine. create a gold card and install from RUU.

If device is s-off then also I need to use gold card ?
Successfully flashed my phone to gingerbread
Faced a problem in between which was error 103 but I figured it out reading the thread
Hey that tv kind of animation was included in gingerbread like when we press the lock button / power button .... it is not present in this
If i install RUU Aussie virgin ROM on my incredible s s-on indian purchase, am i able to downgrade if to froyo indian ROM again in future?
not sure about this
@abhi: u can flash the asian ruu of froyo from the same thread ... Why do you want do downgrade? Also use the wwe ruu .. not the aussie ... Its a branded rom for virgin ...

With HBOOT 1.13 you can go straight to the http://Revolutionary.io and gain true S-OFF on your phone. Read the documentation carefully and you shouldn't have any trouble at all.
Hi
Firstly welcome to xda
You're in a good position, as your hboot version is able to be s offed without downgrading
You can go straight to revolutionary.io and s off from there.
Here is the link to the video tutorial I used back in the day
http://theunlockr.com/2011/08/02/ho...android-phone-using-the-revolutionary-method/
Make sure you're using the correct files for our device because in the video they use a HTC sensation (same procedure)
S off is better than htcdev because it allows you more permissions to flash things like radios and kernels easily
Good luck, if you have questions them Google is your friend, if Google doesn't know then ask here

The OP didn't received the OTA. He was asking how to root his current ROM.
If you really want the ICS ROM for your Bell IncS, HTC has released the ICS RUU on the HTCDEV.com/devcenter/downloads site. There you will find a NAM/Canadian version that you can use to upgrade.
Thanks tplblake, but I already knew this. It's just that, I have reread the op post, and see that I had misread his post. I was reading "has" while the op had written "hasnt". I gueas that the missing quote in "hasnt", got me confused.

Woah, I came here to find out what was going on with ICS and it looks like this was posted a month ago! :good:
I take it this wouldn't have bell's bloatware also?
It's the Canadian rom without the Bell bloatware. If you need part or all the Bell bloatware, it is available on the playstore.
I updated my Bell IncS to the RUU listed on the HTCdev website and it is great. Superuser also works perfectly to give you root access.

Hello Meraj,
That message means that your phone has been modified from stock. That's why you won't get updates.
Boot the phone into the bootloader, and post the information it displays, here
It will tell you what Carrier ID and firmware it's using, among other things.
Maybe the phone can be reverted back to stock software.
Thanks for your reply..
Here is the picture of bootloader.
Can it be revert back . While in bootloader I saw couple of options of rebooting or to factory setting , wipe out n all.. will it be helpful .
Thank you

That confirms it.
That boot loader screen shows:
1) the phone is unlocked.
2 ) the "tampered" flag is set, which is probably because a custom recovery (TWRP aka Win Recovery) has been flashed on the phone.
3) the Hboot is version 1.44. That's a good thing.
Now you need to determine what the CID and MID are.
Do you have "ADB" installed on a computer that you can use ?
And if you wish to continue it with better rom... Try flashing ViperOne.... I bought from Dubai, used, unlocked & tempered too

To have ota update, you need both CID and MID that matches regions that received and update. You also need stock recovery and locked bootloader (yours is unlocked and I guess you have a custom recovery installed)
we need the info from fastboot getvar all command to help you
but do not post info related to your s/n and imei
if you don't know how, go read about adb and fastboot first

hello guys.. thank you all for your help//
somehow manage to get these details about fastboot. . i am adding the picture.. i dont understand much but i have intuition that it might be asia ruu. please help me find one.. but one thing please if i go back to original stock then will i face the sim lock problem ( as i bought it in dubai and if the phone is from another country and by some other carrier on which only their sim works)? and main concern that if i will get all the regular updates launched by htc,
thank you

i am sorry the picture wasnt clear before
IMPORTANT Make s-off first.

The phone is indeed from the UK as it's a Vodafone handset. Good news is you can get S-OFF following the revone thread and then flash the generic 1.28.401.7 RUU to get back to 100% and it will then get the OTA updates to get up-to-date
What about the SIM lock .. so before flashing important thing is to s off ..

Indeed yo may killed to modem/radio, probably your carrie does not support the same bands as the retail brazil carrier. Which carrier are you?, all gsm bands still may work unless you have CDMA.

I doubt it is broken. But it may not work until you find a stock original ROM to flash. Maybe you should look for a UK or FR ROM , I believe there is only one ROM for xt1092, not a specific German one. It might be called EU ROM, but I haven't searched for it.

The Build that was running on it before definitely ended in DE. But I will keep searching for it. Do you think I should send it to a repari center and risk paying a lot of money, or should I just wait until a German Rom is released somewhere? I mean, Android L at least should fix it right up again.
Because you are not stock you won't be able to update it to lollipop... For the repair center you are the only one to be able to answer that question

I see... You have to find a stock radio and to flash it again.
I think someone with unlocked bootloader can probably extract it for you?
