I may be placing this in the wrong section, but I recently began running Backtrack 5 on my Xperia and Backtrack 5 r3 on my laptop. I was curious if anyone knew of a monitor mode for Xperia or if there is anyway possible to run aircrack or airmon on the Xperia. To my knowledge, this is very difficult, I was just wondering if it is in any way possible.

Is this a question? If so there is a specific forum dedicated to it

And how many years you like to spend to decipher a password? My cfx radeon 5870M 850M/1200M would take at least 6monts for a 4 -8 digit simple letters only password, my i7 920X mobile would take at least 4month oc'd and all 4cores running @3.2G and this isn't count numbers and special chars.
dead project M8.
did it already work?
Did you find a way to do it?
Im searching.... and searching... and searching...

This is the first problem i have encountered where google and several android forums could not provide me with an answer.
So i thought i would ask the source from which all knowledge flows.
Thats you guys. I have bought an MK802 Android USB stick to plug into my HD TV.
I would love to be able to mirror my ipad onto my TC through the Android USB device. But how on earth would i do it?
As far as i have learned. Splashtop and other remote desktop apps, only works one way, and that is when the Computer is the receiver, i have found no Airplay replacement app for android so far.
So has anyone got any ideas how i could do it?
This is off topic. There is no knowledge here.
You could mirror your ipad screen to the computer. Then mirror the computer screen to your Android. That's the only way I can think of.

Or I guess you could put Linux on your android device and use wine.

XDA has an iPhone-specific sister site. You'll get a less troll-like response there

I read an article where it stated that since webOS went open source. Some developers are succesful in porting it ro android devices. I want to know how true it is and is there any flashable for our galaxy note???

It will be impossible without proper sources for hardware drivers.
but you can try

Web os itself may be fine to import, but it's still so new, as previous poster said it's the kernel that needs the real work per device.

If I knew how, i'd even help.

I was going to start a thread on this, but the search function turned this one up, recently Open WebOS has been spotted in the wild on a Galaxy Nexus and the Asus Nexus 7, so does this bring us any closer to a Note port? or even better a way to dualboot both similar to the HP Touchpad would be awesome! are their any devs actively working on this since i can't seem to find any info around the forums / internet in general, but i think there would be quite a lot of interest and plenty would be willing to test it if someone with the skills was able to make it happen
I like webos because its plain and simple and can do the basic required work if u succed in getting any info regarding its port then feel free to post.

Sorry to revive but if I had WebOS on my GT-N7000 it'd be like heaven in my palm!! We can't allow the Nexus to have this over us! Sorry to say but IMHO, WebOS smoothness and multitasking ability straight kills both android and iOS! (I have an iPhone, Note I, and Palm Pre). Sign me up if we need a team to get this going on our n7000.
Its also my wish to get the webos on my note or any other mobile device. I am now fed up of android and their spying data collection stuff. The permissions just feaks me out when a simple game says it needs to read the phone book and call logs. Wtf where the hell an app needs to get these permissions. The second is the location thing. they just make us use their os because of the wow factor. Ignoring what its doing to UA

As the title suggests. I'm interested to hear what people have installed and got successfully running the Ubuntu install on the Nexus 7. Is there a spreadsheet anywhere that outlines compatible and experiences?
Ideally, wanting to know if anyone's been using Eclipse with any other plugins (specifically anyone tried FDT would be cool)
Cheers
Keep in mind you can't run x_86 applications on an ARM device... so I don't know if eclipse will work at all, me being oblivious to whether or not they'd have an ARM version.

You mean on the computer or tablet?

I see that there's an armhf Raring compile of Eclipse > https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/raring/armhf/eclipse
I suppose if you want to get even more pedantic and specific, I was ultimately wondering if you could also hook up another Android phone via OTG usb, then with Eclipse and FDT you could compile out Captive runtime Air?
I know I'll probably get shot down in flames with a "why don't you just get a laptop", and I am contemplating that too, but ideally I want/need to get a a tablet so the N7 is looking more likely. Tbh, I'll probably use Android more, but potential dual booting with Ubuntu functionality would be the icing the cake.
Been testing ubuntu using multirom. It's nice to have but I still feel that it needs to be more tab friendly and a few bugs ironed out. Boots quick and looks nice. I have also tested bohdi linux and that works well too. In time ubuntu will be a winner on the nexus 7 I think.

I was wondering if ti would be possible to DUAL BOOT WIN RT & ANDROID on Nexus 7, pardon me if this is a stupid question as I'm a noob and I was just curious considering both the OS are built for ARM.
Roger
No.
Beamed from my Maguro.
Not happening legally. Windows RT must be properly licensed from Microsoft. Even if it could happen the rules of XDA wouldn't allow it because it would qualify as warez.
Dear Op,
You know the bracket you put in the title of this post. You know the [Q]?.
Yeah this post goes in Q/A not general.
Thank you,
concerned citizen.

Nope. But even it were hypothetically possible, you are willing to spend $150+ on purchasing a copy?

Almost anything is possible. Probable is an entirely different story. As you've mentioned, the only way it could be done is with a prayed copy, as RT is not available as a standalone consumer product. Setting aside the legal and ethical aspect for a moment, it simply isn't a viable project.

Just setup a windows 8 machine and remote desktop into it. OnLive has a free Windows 7 desktop, even has office apps.

You can try porting a uefi bootloader, my uefi bootloader for n7 boots but then there is a bluescreen
Well... Do you want to have room for the os and NOTHING else? That's your likely fate if you try this...

The problem goes well beyond acquiring a (presumably non-licensed) copy of Windows RT (and even at this point, it would still be warez and thus unsuitable for XDA). You would also need to get a working driver set for the Nexus 7, which would make for some atrocious work (to say nothing of the ultimately poor battery life you'd probably see, since RT regrettably has no support for the companion core).
This week, all Cave shmups for Android are on sale. At the moment I do not own an Android phone but I'm thinking of getting a Z in the near future. So I was wondering: can anyone here confirm that these games run ok on the Xperia Z? Because otherwise, I don't think I'll get them.
No entendÃ, sorry
