[Q] {brick..ouch}

Hello guys! I am going to go right into the point. In the case that i have done something wrong and you think how foolish i am, i have worked with flashing roms on the HTC imagio, Dell streak (2 different ones), evo 4g, motorola atrix, htc inspire 4g and now this.
After my long run of succesfully rooting phones, i ran unto a wall. I recently bought an LG Thrill 4G (AT&T version O3D) and i wanted to run a foreign version of gingerbread on it. The phone was running froyo, completely stock unrooted. I flashed a GB KDZ file (A20.00) to be able to boot back into froyo, install CMW and root the phone and work to use a GB Rom. However, after flashing the new baseband, the phone stays on a bootloop at the LG logo.
What is it that I did wrong? IN What order should I have done the procedure?
I have found a way to get the phone fixed but i need an XP pc and to get one, it will take some time. Now, another thing i noticed was that the .bin firmwares linked inside of the unbricking thread all are foreign (meaning no AT&T), so if i choose a p920, would that turn my phone from a thrill (p925) to an optimus 3d (p920) completely?
Thank you in advance. I have been up trying to do this for hours but i have college classes in the morning and i need to get some rest. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] Lg thrill gingerbread update problems

hello everyone i seem to be one of the few thrill owners that still isnt able to update to gingerbread 2.3.5 yet. i have tried many times using the official lg update tool but i had no luck there and then i tried using other methods such as the lg kdz flasher tool that many people have posted but i wasnt able to use that either. I am on a windows 7 pc and have want to upgrade my thrill to gb so that i can use some of the great roms like mokee. please help me solve this problem its very frustrating and i want gingerbread!
Try Changing the LG applications Compatibility Mode to Windows Vista.

Bad baseband and ? battery

i got my hands on what i though was initially a g2x p999 with a bad baseband and ? in the battery symbol. i've unbricked a lot of those in the past so i figured this one was no different. after a couple failed attempts i finally figured out i have a p990 o2x.
i was told in the g2x section that the steps to restore are the same but with a different kdz file.
is this true? if so what is the latest kdz for the o2x?
oh, and will the o2x work in the states on tmo?

first I would advise to check that it is a P990 (O2X) and not a G2X.
then you have to smartflash a Baseband...do you have the software upgrade screen when you press the volume+ and volume- buttons simultaneously when you connect to your laptop?if yes, that means you can have the flashing of BB directly. you dont need the kdz method. if your answer is no, then you will have to go through the kdz method.
the latest version depends on the region....presently the most popular ones in GB are V20S.
if you can switch on the device and it works, just try the LG update tool and LG support will de the rest. then if you need, you can root the device and then CWM and all that can follow.
I would advice that you should start with the LG update tool.....(if your device starts normally)
Hope it helps you

i got it working late yesterday.
yeah i knew something was up when the normal g2x flashes weren't working. so i looked at the sticker under the battery, like i should have to begin with, and saw the p990!
all is well with it now........except i see that the o2x does not have 4g capabilities?
That's right. No 4g. It does have quad band, though, so your device will work in the US.

[Q] Having difficulties rooting - 2.2.2

Hey,
I'm a first time rooter and have been trying hard it at the last two days. I've tried many different methods for rooting my device, lg P970 V10d running 2.2.2,
- GingerBreak (All current versions)
- SuperOneClick
- and tried to upgrade the software using the LG Mobile Support tool thing.
Sorry if this has a really obvious solution. I've turned on USB debugging and followed many different tutorials and approaches with each of the software's.
Thanks.

I had to use a tool called "BlackJack" for Froyo. It's included in one of the tutorials:

Nothing else worked for me either.
