So I just opened up the file manager on PACrom and I'd like to increase privileges, but I don't know where to find it. Does anyone know?

Hi,
Im running rocket rom v6. I want to paste the accuweather transparent app into the system apps folder but it wont allow me to. My phone is rooted, mobile odin runs fine but I cant seem to paste into any system folder.
I realize its a permission issue, but how do I get round it? Are there any guides I could read?
Thanks in advance

I use ES File explore from the Play Store. Just go to setting then you can enable "Up to root", "Root Explorer", and "Mount File System". Then you can copy and paste to the system/app foler.

CM10 doesn't come with an explorer.
Grab a file manager from the Play Store. For example, ES Explorer or Root Explorer, just to name 2.

How does that relate to your original post?
From what I can tell, BT works fine in the KK CM10 build.
What model tab & version of CM10 are you using? And what exactly are you trying to achieve?

To get hold of a stock Android 4.0 "My Files" with Bluetooth included as a "Share As" option.
Root explorer has the option to "send" a file via bluetooth.
If you're bent on My Files specifically, just download a ROM you know has it (stock, I'm guessing), unzip it, and pull it out of the /system/apps folder.

Normally u cant install system apps and u have to set permission and then restart ur device
As far for the permission, press the stk.apk and a options menu will appear. Then click on permission button then refer to this image:
i use cm file manager and activated the root access mode
noob question... how to post the screen shot of my phone? i wanna post the checked permission and the result

It seems to me that you have problem either of your root or correct permission of bootanimation you try to install. What happened when you try to install it?

You used file explorer to check out your /system/media folder right? which one? But if you delete something there it not supposed to be there if you have correct rw permission there. I first think that it could be problem with bootanimation you try to install but if you can't delete something there for good I guess first look at your permission to write that folder.

I tried many and different bootanimations not just one and with different ways. I'm rooted and I use the root browser and the permissions are right. But the when I delete the original bootanimation or overwrite it after entering the media file it is there. (when I tried with recovery I got an error)

Basically no and yes. I moved the audio folder it moved successful but when I got back it was both at the moved and original location.
It's like the system generates the missing files by it self

Root again. Use "Easy Root Tool". If it stuck cleaning part just run it again and you should be good.
I was trying to change Xperia S bootanimation last year. Ending up to find that problem is much deeper then basic root and root explorer.
Didn't find the way how to apply custom one.
As I remember is somehow connected with bootloader or kernel

Don't know about Xperia S but with Z1 I can change bootanimation. I use X-plore by Lonely Cat Games with r/w rights and have zero problems.
I would suggest you do not have root.
Check if you have killed the ric.
Goto sys/kernel/security/Sony_ric and see if the file called enable says 0 or 1. Also check it just after a reboot.
If it's a 1 you will lose write permissions to the system partition after a reboot, which explains the symptoms you are talking about.
Changing the boot animation had nothing to do with kernel or bootloader, you just have to change the bootamimation.zip in system /media

I'm not sure what's up with this. I've had Xposed installed before and have been using the same CM12 nightly for months. I re-installed the same Xposed I had before and it's telling me it installed but not active. I checked the logs the first time and it said something about a folder not existing or something. But I installed GravityBox LP and it seems to be holding. The only module I really care for is Youtube Adaway.

Make a screenshot of the Framework section within the Xposed Installer and post it here.
Furthermore, provide information about your device, your Android version and your ROM.
What did you do to install Xposed? What files did you try to install? Those are mandatory information, without them nobody can help you.
@kissnarocks02 You solved the problem?

I had a similar/same problem. According to the log there was a ClassNotFoundException starting at dalvik.system.NativeStart.main(Native Method) - some incompatibilities between extended classes. I presumed that as Xposed evolved, at one point the developers decided to rewrite a class or two and used different names as they couldn't guarantee compatibility. Therefore I tried to install a lower version of Xposed, that is v
2.4 (for a Huawei Ascend G6, v4.3). Perhaps this helps someone...
