Need help editing framework-res

Hey guys,
I want to do a simple edit in my JP6 framework-res.apk to delete the task manager button that shows up with the home-button-long-press. I already decompiled the apk but i can't find what i need to change.
Maybe theres someone here wise enough to help me?

[Seeking Help] Recompile APK files

Hi there, I am a complete retard/dummy in compiling APK. I tried APK Manager, but I really don't know what I was doing. So, may I kindly ask for you devs's help to recompile certain APKs to fit... erm... the new resolution of my phone.

I've used LCD Density and adjusted my density to 205. I am very happy with the result, but there are certain apps that don't scale up to that density.
Can anyone please help to recompile the dialer.apk, stock musicplayer.apk, stock videoplayer.apk, stock clock.apk, stopwatch.apk?

You should try apktool, it can unpack/repack apk so you ll be able to edit xml inside.
Will post an how to later (got problem with my operator limiting bandwight usage and making browsing painful...).

Thank you franklin. Yes I know how to use the APK manager. But I do not know how to edit the XML files. Your guidance is appreciated.

Been looking for this also.. I need the stock dialer to scale to for 200 lcd density.. If you can do this it would be awesome!

I removed Omadmclient, but the settings app gets a fc after removing.
So, can someone (best a developer) tell me, how to remove the updater from settings.apk? Which files do I have to edit after decompiling it?

I don't use my O2x any more but I was the dev that made this change originally on the Froyo ROM that the O2x shipped with. It required making a code regression so it was not that simple.

I just rooted my s3 mini and would like to use STOCK rom. I want to stop those S Planner and etc software that run at startup and so as I know, the apk is located at system/App right?
Anyone done that before? Can someone give me a list of those stock apk that can be remove/rename?

yes it has been done
there is a list of "bloatware" that can be removed
feel free to use the search tool to find the info you are looking for
