Batakang with cwm? - Motorola Atrix HD

Is it possible to flash the Batakang Rises rom with cwm?
Sent from my PACman Atrix HD

I actually just tried that today - it did not work.

You just have to mount system manually first.

Would manually mounting system remove the "Android is upgrading" on every bootup? That was the main reason I uninstalled Batakang in the first place.

It's still a rom built for a locked bootloader. So I doubt it. Try mounting data and system and tell me how it goes.

I'll wait for Blackest Pain to do it - I've already spent an unhealthy amount of time over the last few days tinkering with my phone

Battery icon

Is there anyway to change it the circle with the percentage in it I've seen on some phones? I've searched and can't find a thing.

EDIT: download X-plore file manager or ES file manager from playstore check root option got to

copy it to ur SD card and open it as zip file on ur computer or on ur phone by using X-plore 'only available in it' replace the pics u love wiz exited in the apk file but don't change the stock name!
and go to /system/framework/framework-res.apk
copy it in ur SD card do the same replace the pics, when u finish copy the SystemUI.apk to /system/app/ and replace it
make force cloce don't worry restart ur phone and copy framework-res.apk to /system/framework/ and replace it when finish copying the phone will restart automatically or if it don't restart do manual restart.

I can't find icons to replace the stock ones with. And ROM toolbox and the kitchen thing both don't work.

Is the joker ROM deodexed?
I didn't try the ota kitchen with my deodexed ROM, but I did notice a few features with it. For instance, double pressing the Home key would bring up voice commands. Not sure if it was because of my deodexed ROM, or my three year old messing with settings

Flashing CWM recovery question

I have the AHD w/ 4.1.1 rooted. Other than rooting it, its stock. I haven't installed SafeStrap like everyone else and I'm going to unlock my bootloader shortly. So how should I go about flashing CWM recovery afterwards? I want to go from unlocking to flashing recovery without SafeStrap. Thanks
Sent from my Atrix HD, XDA Premo
Easiest way is to download ROM manager and install the recovery for the photon q.

Are there any known bugs or functions not working?

Does this mean that the TWRP recovery for the Photon Q will work?
really waiting to move from safestrap to twrp.
Don't know about that. Only 1 way to find out though.

What's that? Hard brick your phone?
Sent from my Golden'd Atrix HD MAXX using xda app-developers app
No ones forcing you to do it man. I use cwm because I know it works.

yo can you flash with the photon q cmw if so is there a special process you use?
It works like it was made for ours.

I decided to use ROM Manager and install the Photon Q cwm. Works like a charm. I did a full backup & restore of my stock rooted 4.1.1 without a hitch. Mounted /system, wiped and reset, then flashed Batakang Rises and gapps... I can't complain at all! Haven't had any FCs or anything. Battery life is much better for sure!

You know what they say... Once you go Android, you don't go back. Flashaholic for sure.

PAC man ROM

How long should it take to install the PAC man rom ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2244963 )? I followed the steps and now I have been on the "PAC is loading screen" for a long time.
Did something go wrong?
Did you wipe everything beforehand? Did you mount system? How long is a long time?
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX
I didn't mount it I think and it has been like that for couple of hours
Well you have to mount system. So there's your problem.
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX
its stuck on the PAC is loading screen and i have not been able to get out of it.
Hold both volume buttons and the power button.
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX
i hold down the button, the screen goes black but when i let go it goes back to the PAC man ROM
You have to boot back into recovery after it turns off by keeping the volume buttons down.. Another case of someone trying to brick their shiny new phone by not reading directions?

thanks man! it you really helped. btw it installation instructions said from custom rom or previous version and i didnt fit into any of those categories so it was confusing
Yeah but I've seen your other questions you've asked in here and you don't really do any searching or looking before asking so there's your problem. Happy to help but try reading up a bit more so you can get things on your own. Then if you still need help ask away.
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX
why did he have to mount system i flashed pac man twice never mounted.
I think it might depend if you are flashing from like a stock rom or from another custom rom.
I don't know how it worked for you then if you didn't mount it.

I had the same issue and then i reflashed everething and everything works great for me now
